Hello, I've set up an alert box for follower events which has multiple random variations and am having some weird issues. Everything seems to be working fine when I simulate the event in the overlay editor, but what actually gets sent to OBS is usually a different alert (most often the default alert). Is it normal for the event to be different live in the editor than it is in OBS? Also, opening up the preview in a new tab doesn't show anything when an event is simulated. Everything has been saved/closed/reopened multiple times.

Hi all. I'm trying to get an animated GIF to play when a chat user enters the command "!push". Chat bot enabled. Custom command created with a response of "Alright ${user}, I'm pushing! !redeem {push}" I created a store item called "push" with my animation. The next step is to create an overlay, but I don't see how to do this last step. Any help?

@south stirrup if you have a full song and expecting it to end when when the alert does, that's something that doesn't happen. You need to trim the audio down using audacity or a similar audio editor to the length you want it

I fired off the command and got the expected response from the bot. But the bot doesn't seem to be firing the !redeem {push} part to actually display the GIF.

If I do "!redeem push", it does trigger the GIF

So the bot is working

And the store is working.

set up its own scene so you can toggle to it when battle is ready and then flip back to main content after battle and timer for troop placement is showing again ~20-25 minutes

just avoid lurk for lurk and follow for follow, it messes with your metrics and they most likely won't be repeat viewers

Hey, I've been struggling to get back my custom bot name. I used this tip

[1) Right click on your OBS desktop shortcut and open the Properties
2) In the Target field, add the following to the very end: --remote-debugging-port=40404
3) Open OBS (or restart if it was open)
4) Open your web browser and type in: localhost:40404
5) Click on StreamElements - Activity feed
6) Navigate to the Console tab
7) Type the following into the console and hit enter: store.customBot.removeCustomBotIntegration()
8) Try setting the custom bot name
9) Remove the additional flag in step 2 from your shortcut properties.]

as it's worked previously. But I fudged up and posted this text "store.customBot.removeCustomBotIntegration()" in activity feed - twitch instead of StreamElements - Activity feed. So now it's just giving some red error thing in the console of the activity feed - twitch page. It looks like this:

Hello! I'm having some issues with obs live. My activity feed and chat panels turned white and I started losing browser captures.
I logged out and now I cannot log back in. I tried deactivating and reactivation the twitch connection under settings as well as logging out and back in through StreamElements -> login/logout tab.

4. Start OBS.Live

you can try and use output scale 1664x936 (or even just 720p 60FPS) with bitrate at around 3500, or 4, if you see that it's stable. @topaz crater

@topaz crater Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

@umbral fossil 10 minutes of watch time is given to those in chat when the loyalty points are handed out (every 10 minutes). Therefore, loyalty must be enabled to watch time to work properly.
There is no direct link between watch time and all-time points.
It can’t be calculated from the number of all-time points a user has because subs may earn points at a faster rate and !bonus all command increases all-time points for users in the chat at that time.
Giving points to a single user do not affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.

hi, on sunday i opened OBS-streamelements app and i got the message "update available" and i clicked it. It failed (dunno why) and the app restarted. All seemed ok, but when i started the live i got screen freezes, loading screens, error 2000, and 2 mins delay (not requested by me).

@vestal vale Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

Hi! I had a question regarding two alert boxes.

Basically I want one of them to be "regular" alerts that play normally and another one that only plays if a set of variations are met.

One of the problems I am having is the animation delay which should delay an animation is not working inside a variation.
The second problem is how do I get this alert box to trigger to only the variations and not to the other normal alerts. (IE: large amount of subscribers, bits, etc..)

Hello guys! I'm wondering if I could please get some help with the Hypecup? I was using the Santa one, but it just kept flickering and flashing (I can DM a clip if needed) so I swapped to a normal glass which doesn't flicker, but with both, once the cup gets close to the top it just stops working and no more tokens drop in (again, clipped) \I thought it may be the 'recent events slider' so I put it to 0, no change, so put it to 100 and no change. Once the cup gets full it just stops working and I don't want to keep emptying or refreshing it every time as all the tokens disappear on the reload.

(also, just looking back on my vod, it just seems the cup pauses, even the animated tokens no longer move)

cant do that, i use streamlabs and whenever someone follows a notification does not appear on screen and no sound plays but they are active on the website

@violet halo We're not able to troubleshoot issues with using our overlays in StreamLabs OBS (SLOBS) as we don't have the tools to support their software. We recommend using OBS Studio or OBS Studio with our plugin OBS.Live.

@robust delta To add your overlays to OBS, add a new browser source in your scene. Paste your overlay URL in the browser source properties, set the dimensions to 1920x1080 (unless you changed them on the website) and check Shutdown source when not visible. https://youtu.be/KDvLynUqXI4

I'm using Twitch Studio, not OBS. It looks like it works - the only difference is the dimensions. It appears to work totally fine with whatever the screen in Twitch Studio is - everything that worked in Broadcaster now works exactly the same with different dimensions.

@nocturne wave If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Thats because the link has an exclamation mark

basically the chat thinks thats the end of the link

nothing we can doabout it as you can see even the SL bot replies the same way

i would suggest to maybe use a link shorterner like bit.ly for example
