10 minutes of watch time is given to those in chat when the loyalty points are handed out (every 10 minutes). Therefore, loyalty must be enabled to watch time to work properly.
There is no direct link between watch time and all-time points.
It canโ€™t be calculated from the number of all-time points a user has because subs may earn points at a faster rate and !bonus all command increases all-time points for users in the chat at that time.
Giving points to a single user do not affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.

I am getting people who circumvent the words I add to the stream elements. one person wrote some regex filters to add as entries in the spam filter this has removed two very bad words. from my stream I still have people who attack others on there orientation and substoot <sp> things with triple letters and backwards spellings and I would like to bring things like this to a halt. As of June 7 2020 twitch made content creators responsible, including for the chat.

  1. Make sure you are on the latest and greatest version of OBS.Live

Hi,

I am in the process of moving from the Streamlabs bot to the Streamelements one. I am having problems importing my commands over to Streamelements.

I have exported the commands as a .xlsx file and when I attempt to import them to Streamelements, it says that the import failed and asks if I want to try again. However, under my "Custom Commands" page on the website I see that it indeed did import some of them, but not all (It has filled up about one page with mixed commands, for example it imported my !twitter command, but not my !insta command (so I do not see the the commands themselves being a reason for the problem. It didn't import a single one of my sound effect commands either....)

Any idea what may be wrong? lumileS

@sharp breach If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

I enabled the bot and while I was streaming, I noticed it banned some of my viewers for trying to execute some of the commands (e.g. !8ball) or typing in caps. Hi. I'm unable to connect my bot account to use a custom bot name despite logging in sucessfully

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Custom Fonts

Steps:

  1. Install the font on the streaming PC or choose a pre-installed windows font.
  2. In the overlay widget settings, select Text Settings
  3. Click on Enable Custom Font
  4. Type the name of the font as it appears in the windows font directory (This is usually C:\Windows\Fonts)

Note: After installing fonts, the browser and OBS must be restarted for the font to appear.

So I have an issue with my custom bot, it randomly cleared the bot a week or so ago, and now when I try to re-link it, it prompts me to log in to the bot, which I do, I enter the login auth code, press authorise, then it closes the browser window but the bot doesn't show in the custom bot name drop down, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, logging out and logging back in, running as admin, nothing seems to be working, any ideas?

@lament blade There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner-type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security

WARNING: In submitting a closure request, all linked channels within the account will be deleted and you will lose all associated data. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data (tips, subs, etc). You can still reconnect with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

@mental falcon Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

Speed tests usually cannot help solve this problem and its best to use this guide: https://obsproject.com/wiki/Dropped-Frames-and-General-Connection-Issues

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

@odd sedge If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

  1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
  2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
  3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

@clever heron If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

@tacit gale We're not able to troubleshoot issues with using our overlays in StreamLabs OBS (SLOBS) as we don't have the tools to support their software. We recommend using OBS Studio or OBS Studio with our plugin OBS.Live.

But I don't use the shop. My viewers use currency from stream elements to do a command and the overlay gets the same commands but with sound effects so this way you don't use the shop and bits to do a command with a sound effect.

In StreamElements in order to redeem a sound effect you need to add it on your store (https://streamelements.com/dashboard/store/items) then give it a name and create a custom command (https://streamelements.com/dashboard/bot-commands/custom-commands) something like this ${redeem ITEMNAME} (replace ITEMNAME with the name of the item that you created ..

Then you need to add the redemption widget on your overlay and add the overlay into your OBS as a browser source
