@swift sky the reason you need a bank account and back up funding for paypal is so they do not take the hit for charge backs. Next the the fact you said haha proves your to young to hold a bank account and thus you will need to obtain your parents permission and they would have to be with you to set it up for you. I know this becuase I set up bank accounts for all my sons.

@lament blade If a viewer tipped through PayPal but no information appears in your StreamElements account, this generally means PayPal has held the tip for verification. Until PayPal clears the tip and sends back a confirmation to your StreamElements account, no information will appear there and no alert will play, as that confirmation is the only way for us to be aware of a successful transaction. If you believe there may be an issue with the transaction, you'll need to contact PayPal support as StreamElements is only a passthrough service and never actually gets involved with the transaction or touches the money.

There's no "major delay." They're not back to back messages. It sends them in order at each interval.

If your interval is 20 minutes, it'll send the first one, wait 20 minutes, and send the second one.

Hi there, I was wondering if there was some sort of way to re-sync the twitch feed so there isn't as much delay from when I started. I've been going for 9 hours on a 24 hours stream and it chat has fallen behind me quite a bit in terms of whats going on and there is about a 15 second delay or so now, and it affects my dead cells stream because it's viewer interaction and some votes are only like 20 seconds

Same thing can be applies for the static text, but also make sure you've saved teh scrolling option enabled

There was also a thing recently where Twitch changed their own Raid numbers and allowed only 5+ viewer raids to trigger events

4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name

I really need someone's help with this, I posted yesterday but no one has knowledge if this is possible or not. I use StreamElements for my overlay and alerts. When someone sub bombs me with either x1 or x20, I want it to show on my overlay how many on that particular sub bomb was gifted by that user who dropped the sub bomb. If I use the "latest gifted subscription" label in the format of {sender} gifted {amount} it shows how many that user has gifted overall. I don't want that, I want it to show how many that user has gifted on that last particular sub bomb they just dropped. I hope I have articulated this correctly for someone to understand lol. I really hope being able to do this is possible.

• from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
• from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

I'm in a bit of impasse here..

So I've decided to come back to streaming after a very long break.

I've used Stream Elements in the past but maybe I'm just doing something wrong but this one is really odd.

I bought a pack on NerdorDie and it's pretty straight forward. You use a link file that adds all the scenes to your StreamElements Overlay editor, then you grab each scene's URL and put that into OBS as a browser source.

All the scene overlays are good to go on the SE editor.

The issue I am having is when I add the URLs to OBS.

If I add the URL for my 'Intermission' scene, in OBS it instead shows the browser source of my 'Starting' scene.

I can't seem to figure out why it does this. The links are different and I even double checked and grabbed the link straight off the preview on SE, it still shows the browser source of another scene of the one I am trying to add in OBS.

@steep ruin Im not an expert, but i had something similar a while back. Youre not using an existing browser source hopefully - because if you use the same browser source in OBS for two different scenes, when you edit one it will edit the other

Make sure you make a new browser source for each one, if theyre loading different URLs

I really need someone's help with this, I posted yesterday but no one has knowledge if this is possible or not. I use StreamElements for my overlay and alerts. When someone sub bombs me with either x1 or x20, I want it to show on my overlay how many on that particular sub bomb was gifted by that user who dropped the sub bomb. If I use the "latest gifted subscription" label in the format of {sender} gifted {amount} it shows how many that user has gifted overall. I don't want that, I want it to show how many that user has gifted on that last particular sub bomb they just dropped. I hope I have articulated this correctly for someone to understand lol. I really hope being able to do this is possible.

Until PayPal clears the tip and sends back a confirmation to your StreamElements account, no information will appear there and no alert will play, as that confirmation is the only way for us to be aware of a successful transaction. If you believe there may be an issue with the transaction, you'll need to contact PayPal support as StreamElements is only a passthrough service and never actually gets involved with the transaction or touches the money.

Opera GX and the new Microsoft Edge Chromium might work closest to Chrome as its also Chromium built. Firefox also works, but some things might look a bit different or not work. We do not recommend using Internet Explorer with our Dashboard as it does not support functions.
If the website doesn’t work on chrome, be sure none of your plugins are blocking our website or clear your cookies. You can try if the website works in a incognito tab.

@valid gorge 10 minutes of watchtime are given to those in chat when the loyalty points are handed out (every 10 minutes). Therefore, loyalty must be enabled for watchtime to work properly.
There is no direct link between watchtime and all-time points.
It can’t be calculated from the amount of all-time points a user has because subs may earn points at a faster rate and !bonus all command increases all-time points for users in chat at that time.
Giving points to a single user does not affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.

@livid scarab Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

Speed tests usually cannot help solve this problem and its best to use this guide: https://obsproject.com/wiki/Dropped-Frames-and-General-Connection-Issues

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

I need the textfile updating live so it has to be cloud storage, but that documentation did give me the correct syntax for the custom api

and I managed to get it working with onedrive now 😄

Had use the share with embed feature, then took the file link from the src tag, changed the embed keyword to "download" then used the direct link to the file as the api so it just returns the contents

I have a viewer who has been able to trigger their 4-month resubscription about 4-5 times now - sometimes multiple times per-stream. They know what they're doing, as they've mentioned in chat, but haven't explained what they're doing to trigger it.

It's getting obnoxious but it's out of my control. Can someone help explain what's happening, why is this happening, and what I can do to limit/prevent it?

Though was hoping there might be a way to stem the issue temporarily. Because really the alert is the only part of the bug that affects the content.

yeah if a user subs for the third month in a row we won't show a resub alert unless they share it in chat, which triggers the variation

I looked into possible workarounds via the alertbox widgets but I can't come up with a way

but perhaps twitch will clarify it for you and share how the user might be able to do that

I'll approach the user too, and ask them to stop. Ultimately I'm afraid of two things: Having to ignore legitimate resubscriptions because of the actions of a minority of users. And new viewers feeling like I'm ignoring a viewer's support of the channel when really I've already thanked them for the same resubscription in prior streams.

On my stream the other night I tried using StreamElements instead of Streamlabs. I had all my settings upped a little bit from SLOBS since I never increased anything after upgrading equipment and reaching affiliate status. Everything ran smoothly in my testing, but when I went live my stream kept getting glitchy and jerky. I altered a lot of settings trying to fix it and inevitably went back to SLOBS for the stream since I couldn't get OBS.Live to work properly. Do you have any recommendations as far as what could have been messed up in my settings? I want to use OBS over Streamlabs, but all my settings are now the exact same as SLOBS and it still drops frames/jerks.

I think I found my main issue. I had opened OBS regularly, not as an administrator. I also deleted the preview screen and disabled the animations I had for text scrolls on my overlay. Hopefully that will help enough.

I'm trying to set up a follower goal, and i can get it to display properly but when i hit the button to simulate a follow notification, it resets the goal or changes it to a random number. How can i get any new incoming follows or subs to add onto the goal instead of overriding it? for the follower goal the number jumps around to a bunch of random numbers, when i tried to make a sub goal it just reset the number to 1 every time i tried to simulate a new subscriber
