So I don't know how to contact staff or WHERE to report a RIDICULOUS BUG...

My friend received 2 timeouts from Streamelements bot, even though the filters are all DISABLED!!!!!!!!!!!
Yet, the bot kept giving timeouts.

Until my friend wasn't able to talk in chat anymore.l

I just removed the mod from the streamelements bot and now everyone can see his message.

This is pretty messed up!

@lament blade If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:
1.) In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2.) Click on Stream Settings -> Custom bot name
3.) In the "Custom bot name" field select "Set custom bot name", not your already existing username (with capital letters)
Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png)
4.) Scroll a bit down and click on the purple "CONNECT CUSTOM BOT ACCOUNT" button
5.) Log in as usual and "Authorize" the custom bot name
6.) Back in the Activity feed, click on the "SEND TEST MESSAGE" button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Unfortunately the Mac version of OBS Studio does often have issues with animated alerts, due to how the Mac version works. Unfortunately there's little that can be done about it. You may need to switch to static alerts instead.

@shrewd helm Loyalty has been disabled and re-enabled for the streamer. Please note that watchtime is not retroactive; everyone starts at 0 once it's set to start counting up. It won't suddenly update to some large number. Once he goes live, watch for ~20 minutes before checking your watchtime. If there is still an issue, please let us know.

Ok, it's working now. I guess it needs a couple of minutes to figure itself out on the StreamElements.Live version of OBS. I restarted obs a couple of times and it seems to be working.

@gray ibex If you changed your name on Twitch please follow these steps:
🔹 Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again with by connecting with Twitch.
🔹 On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select "Join" under bot settings. If it says "Part" select that and then select "Join" to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
🔹 Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Problem is watchtime wasn't working before we turned loyalty off and then on again! We turned it of and back on because watch time wasn't working in the first place.... I've spent hours watching so for it to say 0 was incorrect

It will not update to "hours" of watchtime. There is no way for it to retrieve past watchtime. Twitch itself does not save that information.

Once you have watched his live stream for ~20 minutes, check your watchtime. If it has gone up at all, it is working.

Just like everyone else who watches his stream, you will also be starting from 0.

Again, it was disabled and re-enabled to ensure that the system recognizes it's enabled.

It will say 0 until you have watched the stream for some time. At that point, and every 10 minutes thereafter, it should continue to increase.

That means it's working.

If it does not, you come back and you let us know.

Regarding SE.PAY I would love to be able to withdraw USD to a USD bank account without being resident in the US. I tried to add one but the payment processor cannot do this. @devout parcel 10 minutes of watchtime are given to those in chat when the loyalty points are handed out (every 10 minutes). Therefore, loyalty must be enabled for watchtime to work properly.
There is no direct link between watchtime and all-time points.
It can’t be calculated from the amount of all-time points a user has because subs may earn points at a faster rate and !bonus all command increases all-time points for users in chat at that time.
Giving points to a single user does NOT affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.

@lunar epoch 10 minutes of watchtime are given to those in chat when the loyalty points are handed out (every 10 minutes). Therefore, loyalty must be enabled for watchtime to work properly.
There is no direct link between watchtime and all-time points.
It can’t be calculated from the amount of all-time points a user has because subs may earn points at a faster rate and !bonus all command increases all-time points for users in chat at that time.
Giving points to a single user does NOT affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.

Hiii! I have a question, so i use streamlabs for donations, however i have a rotating feed made from stream elements. I used the google chrome extension to export my donation history from streamlabs to stream elements, my question is do i have to keep importing everytime i get a new donation? or does it auto update my most recent dono

I have seen some times during my stream where the "most recent dono" feed from my widget wasn't updating so i had to manually import the donation history again using the google chrome extension

You will have false data in StreamElements if you do multiple imports (especially tips over period, top tippers). The import tool is meant to be used when you are switching to StreamElements and use us as tips aggregate from the moment of import

Check the extensions in the Chrome (browser), if there is any application installed and related to the items listed above (antivirus, antispyware, privacy control ...). If it exists, then disable the extension and test your Twitch profile to see if the StreamElements Leaderboard extension has returned to work. If it worked again, then enter the installed plugin/extension and add StreamElements as a trusted site.
See the version of your Chrome (browser), go to Menu (3 dots in the upper right corner of the screen) > Help > About Google Chrome and see if the application has the latest version installed. If not, wait until the app is updated.
See your Windows Security, in the applications that are running in the background next to the Windows clock or in Windows Settings > Updates and Security > Windows Security. Check if there is any item on alert (in yellow), if there is any, try to correct it by following the steps of the software itself.
View Windows updates, in Windows Settings > Updates and Security and click the Check for Updates button. Make sure your Windows has the latest version installed or at least the version of update 2004.

I´ve been having problems recently with StreamElements donations, for some reason some donations did not come through, they even called the banks and there's was no problems there, so I don't know if anyone else had this issue before but if my donators are spending money that is going no where, I don't understand what's happening. Get the item name/command from the 2nd creation page

Add command with desired name and have response for command as: ${redeem item_name_here}
Go to your overlays and edit the overlay you use.
Click on "widgets" and add "Store redemptions" widget. Click save and you should be golden.
Test your own command in chat and have OBS or editor open to hear sound

@serene sequoia If you are not hearing your Alerts and/or Media request, you are most likely using the "Control Audio via OBS" option in your browser source properties.

@oblique pollen there was a mistake on one of the regular expressions... so bot completely stuck if this group was enabled.. I guess there should be some spelling check for regex when you save it. Thanks!

@silk aspen If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:
1.) In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2.) Click on Stream Settings -> Custom bot name
3.) In the "Custom bot name" field select "Set custom bot name", not your already existing username (with capital letters)
Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png)
4.) Scroll a bit down and click on the purple "CONNECT CUSTOM BOT ACCOUNT" button
5.) Log in as usual and "Authorize" the custom bot name
6.) Back in the Activity feed, click on the "SEND TEST MESSAGE" button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Hello, I am new to streamelements and am trying to use media request. I added it to the overlay which is on obs.live as a browser source. I can hear the media request song playing, but viewers cannot hear it.

To whom it may concern, I don't expect a reply since it could just be user error not updating the app or something....

Amouranth has had trouble with her overlay updating the sub session counter using the mobile android app. I told her to reach out to you guys herself, but just in case she never does, I am if you hear similar issues from others. Stay awesome.

@lyric yoke Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have Overlays over your console gameplay.

Not possible like that. There's no way to "save" information to be called by a different command.

I have a question about the media request. I am a mod actually for a channel, and whenever myself or the broadcaster use the song request(!sr <link>), it works perfectly well, but whenever one of the other viewers try doing it, they always turn out showing like this "!sr ***" We aren't sure how to fix this so that anyone may put in a song request. for follower yes, there is no real "variation"
follows are like a light switch, on and off

subs and bits have many varying factors.

remove the follow variations and it should work normally
