• Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events

@long rover If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:
1.) In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2.) Click on Stream Settings -> Custom bot name
3.) In the "Custom bot name" field select "Set custom bot name", not your already existing username (with capital letters)
Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png)
4.) Scroll a bit down and click on the purple "CONNECT CUSTOM BOT ACCOUNT" button
5.) Log in as usual and "Authorize" the custom bot name
6.) Back in the Activity feed, click on the "SEND TEST MESSAGE" button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

I would suggest to add the same name and email with a negative value and then go to the sessions page and reset it, in hopes it will adjust the aggregates.

Hello, I am updating my alerts right now. And even when I upload the video I want to play when someone cheers/subscribes, it continues to display the default Stream Elements cheer/subscriber video and the default sound, even though I have saved time and time again the sound and video I want to display. All other alerts work except for these two and I have it set up as one alert widget, so there are not multiples. This has been an ongoing issue every time I try to update my alerts too :[ Thank you kind ppl!

I have 2 issues, firstly there's never an alert popup on stream on in chat whenever someone hosts my stream. But, that only seems to be the issue when said person hosting me hasn't got someone who's already lurking on their channel, I would like an alert no matter the view amount from the hoster however.
Secondly I've been trying to set up a subgoal via an overlay but it doesn't show the current amount of subs from after it was created, nor does it seem to be able to be reset. Now, I've never tested the goal live but whenever I go onto the overlay on the website it shows that it's able to update the amount of subscriptions that been given, but it for some reason only shows the number that I've gotten in total over my entire time as an affiliate rather than over the course of a single month.

@regal surge Due to changes to Twitch API, we have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline
  Note: If you see "X channel has hosted you" with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.

• from the overlay editor -> session data on top right (monitor symbol) -> goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal
• from the dashboard -> activity feed on the left -> widget data on the right -> goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal
  Note: Goal widgets(progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you loose followers/subs

• Subscriber count will count the Channel and any other permanent sub you may have (+1 or +2 or +3 on top).

There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security
WARNING: In submitting a closure request you will delete both linked accounts and loose all data from both accounts. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data(tips, subs, etc). You can still relogin with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

@dreamy void If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:
1.) In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2.) Click on Stream Settings -> Custom bot name
3.) In the "Custom bot name" field select "Set custom bot name", not your already existing username (with capital letters)
Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png)
4.) Scroll a bit down and click on the purple "CONNECT CUSTOM BOT ACCOUNT" button
5.) Log in as usual and "Authorize" the custom bot name
6.) Back in the Activity feed, click on the "SEND TEST MESSAGE" button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Hello, I am doing alerts through StreamElements overlays and I feel like my TTS are a little quiet. The sounds of the alert (the SFX) seems to be a normal level, but the TTS feels quiet. I know that TTS has it's own volume slide and I have set that to the maximum but it is still pretty quiet. Is there anything else that I can do about this? Thanks

@reef depot check your USB cables they can induce noise into your audio, it can be as simple as a loose connection. If that is not it then you could have a bad ground in the headset going open causing the tick.

Hey, new streamer here (42 followers, pre-affiliate, PhNahm.tv). I'm LOVING the customization streamelements provides but am having an issue getting follower alerts to work. After creating an overlay and seeing the default alert correctly display on stream w/ the SE emulator, the moment I make an edit the emulator stops displaying the alert...only the default audio queue sends through (using OBS web browser w/ the SE overlay URL linked). I've tried new overlays, linking in new web browsers in OBS, still no alert visuals, only the default alert sound. Also tried clearing browser cash and repeating this process but still the same result. Seems like a bug. Any ideas?

Eventually, yes. It broke from just changing the default layout to display the image above test, then image beside text.

I just toggled between those couple options and kept clicking emulate to checkout the results, and eventually only the default sound came through; no image.

So if you delete your alert box, add a brand new one, select it in the layers list, click on settings, click the gear next to followers, click change image and select the GIF you want and then click save and emulate what happens?

@jolly bloom 10 minutes of watchtime are given to those in chat when the loyalty points are handed out (every 10 minutes). Therefore, loyalty must be enabled for watchtime to work properly.
There is no direct link between watchtime and all-time points.
It can’t be calculated from the amount of all-time points a user has because subs may earn points at a faster rate and !bonus all command increases all-time points for users in chat at that time.
Giving points to a single user does NOT affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.

For alerts - it seems like Text appearance delay and Text disappearance offset make the text appear semi-transparent before drawing in and after drawing out. Shouldn't they be fully unopaque and then fade in fully opaque and then reverse for fading out?

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline
  Note: If you see "X channel has hosted you" with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.

I'm starting to move things over from streamlabs OBS to streamelements, and I'm having two problems, this first is when I try to move over stuff from streamlabs to elements, it says install chrome extension, I then install but the menu doesn't change and keeps saying install the chrome extension. This is another way of import, so if you want to use it - then you need to install that plugin. But.... I reread your message and I see what should you do - just click on that installed chrome extension and while logged in into SE and SL click "import" from extension

All of your speed tests you did with twitch bandwidth test are showing that your upload is somehow limited to ~2Mbit

Can you check via any VPN service (a lot of them offer free test). If you have better upload in twitch test it is most likely your ISP is throttling you either directly or on some of traffic exchange points.

having 0 across the board means a connection issue between you and the twitch servers.

the next step will be to check you havent blocked any routing on your pc/network. then get your ISP to look into it.

i would also say to untick those 2 options in obs if you are struggling this much
