Still haven't found an answer to this... Chat bot redemption Alerts are turned off, but when I redeem something in chat, I still get a message "StreamElements: @wind storm, you successfully redeemed xyz for 0 points"

I've tried turning all alerts off, changing the wording (which won't change either), parting and re-joining the bot. At this point, I'm at wits end and I'm not going to be able to use the bot, which sucks. Any help would be appreciated.

Chat alerts for redemptions are not related to the confirmation message when redeeming from chat. You cannot disable the chat redemption confirmation message.

However, closing is not needed to merge accounts, but because you've already requested the deletion, it's too dangerous to merge them for you now, as it's highly likely the deletion will take place after and delete both accounts.

I've just set up a dual-PC streaming rig. My issue consists of obtaining audio from a couple spots. I successfully have audio from the game I'm playing and from my microphone, however, I do not have audio coming in from people I'm hearing on Discord, nor do I hear sounds from my alerts. For the alerts, the audio is built into the .webm. When I emulate the alert on my streaming PC, no audio occurs, though the .webm visual does play and I see audio responses in the Audio Mixer section. Any thoughts as to how I would go about either the audio playing on stream for viewers/the VOD or having the audio play for everyone, including me?

  Note: Goal widgets(progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you loose followers/subs

I'm having issues with host/raid alerts not popping up or being posted in chat by the bot. I have checked, double checked, and triple checked that the settings in my Alert Box overlay and in the Bot Module (chat actions) should work. I made sure that it's set at a minimum of 0 viewers so that it should post all hosts/raids, yet it still doesn't work. If I run an emulated host/raid for 0 viewers it does show up, but when someone does it for real in the stream no alert fires. I'm wondering if I missed a setting, or if anyone else is having this issue.

@sacred birch Due to changes to Twitch API, we have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline
  Note: If you see "X channel has hosted you" with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.
  Note for Mixer streamers: The above 2 filters currently apply for Mixer and we are aware its actually not how Mixer hosts work. We do plan on changing it, but no ETA on when.

I opted for subscriber only on the "chat emote" portion, and it worked for myself and my bf who is a recurring sub, however it didn't seem to work for my friend who is subbed with twitch prime. Does anyone know if this is how it's supposed to be, or if maybe there is some issue I need to fix?

🔹 On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select "Join" under bot settings. If it says "Part" select that and then select "Join" to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
🔹 Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

• Make a new overlay in the editor, ONLY add the media request widget,
• Add a new browser source in OBS, add the URL and set the dimensions correctly,
• Tick the box for "Control audio via OBS"

• Run your MR either in Chrome or in Ground Control (use command !gc),
DO NOT CLICK "SHOW ON STREAM"

• Add the audio output from VAC as an audio input in OBS,
NOTE: this will not be able to show the video in OBS

It is currently not possible to separate audio for yourself and stream if you ALSO want to show the video in OBS.
The only way to do this would be to follow the last set of instructions above and then use Window Capture on GC or Chrome.

Hi all, I hope everyone is having a great day! I’m hoping this is the right spot so if it’s not please let me know. I e been experiencing some mid stream degradation of sound for the last 2-3 weeks I’ll be 1-2 hours into a stream and then my audio for all sources gets horrible choppy. The only way I can fix this is restarting obs.live.

Things I’ve done:

Made sure each frequency matches up with each sound device.

Made sure no devices can take permissions from any of my Audio equipment.

Launching program in administrative mode.

Testing to make sure it’s just not messed up the start.

Is there something I’m missing I could fix this with because I’ve been losing lots of viewers when it happens obviously.

I have been launching the program from obs icon instead of the obs.live icon is that going to make a difference?

I saw you should be able to add loyalty points to specific people but the commands I've tried while people are in chat just responds with "@[username] is not in chat]. Is there maybe a new command or something I'm doing wrong? I'm turning off Twitch Channel points and want to be able to give my viewers who have those some extra StreamElements loyalty points.

🔹 Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again with by connecting with Twitch.
🔹 On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select "Join" under bot settings. If it says "Part" select that and then select "Join" to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
🔹 Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Okay so I was trying to add an overllay into Stream Elements, and then add my alerts into my StreamElements, I got them both in then my screen went from full screen (normal) to this cropped window size screen when I watch the replay - how do I get it back into the full screen view - meaning when I watch the playbacks it's centered in the middle of the screen with black box around it, but my older videos was full - anyone? Also, I deleted the overlays in StreamElements but that didn't fix it

Adding an overlay does not affect other sources. It looks like you cropped your other sources.

Again, StreamElements overlays have nothing to do with cropping your sources. Deleting them doesn't solve that.

At this point it would probably be much quicker for you to delete your sources and remake them.

I'm just putting this here for a reference for myself + if anyone else ever would find this useful.

I screencapture and show my StreamElements activity feed on my livestream, and someone recently subbed with an offensive racist troll name. This would be less of a big deal if you could.. delete names/a single activity from the feed, but you can't. So I used this Chrome extension called Word Replacer II to change the name of this specific troll idiot to something else (John0401)

Hopefully in the future StreamElements will let delete/hide an activity from the activity feed

Right, that's strange, because I disabled the loyalty system a month ago, not realising what it did and every single person on my channel lost their watch time. There are posts you can find on Google from people complaining about !watchtime resulting in "0 seconds watched". I guess it was just a glitch though if it's not supposed to reset stats. I think I had it disabled for a week, maybe that had something to do with it.

does anyone know how many times in 1 hour, 1 person can trigger a host alert?

I know you can raise the minimum. Just trying to see if it only triggers once per X minutes per person

https://help.twitch.tv/s/article/how-to-use-host-mode You can transition to another channel using the /host command up to three times in a given 30 minute period, so if the channel you are hosting goes offline, you can switch to hosting a different channel.

But given our host trigger requirements they'd have to do some really crappy moves to trigger it again.

Hi! I'm streaming directly from my PS4 since my computer isn't that good, today I had my first donation but no alert showed on the chat, and even in the StreamElements activity feed there was nothing. Do you guys maybe know how I can set up at least the activity to show up in there?

To reset goals:

• from the overlay editor -> session data on top right (monitor symbol) -> goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal
• from the dashboard -> activity feed on the left -> widget data on the right -> goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal
  Note: Goal widgets(progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you loose followers/subs
