Hi, i have imported my streamlabs presets and have fully switched to streamelements. Although, when someone hosts me it will not display on the activity feed nor display it on stream. I have looked through my settings but seem to be unable to fix, does anyone know a way in fixing this?

@subtle mica Due to changes to Twitch API, we have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline
  Note: If you see "X channel has hosted you" with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.
  Note for Mixer streamers: The above 2 filters currently apply for Mixer and we are aware its actually not how Mixer hosts work. We do plan on changing it, but no ETA on when.

HELP NEEDED! A couple audio issues going on. A little about my setup - I have dual PCs (streaming and game), using Astro a40s with mixamp, and an elgato HD60S to get audio/video from gaming PC to streaming PC. I have screenshots here of my Voicemeeter Banana settings (can’t find a goxlr mini ANYWHERE) and my sound settings on gaming PC.

Issue #1 - In my headphones I can hear the game audio, music, and discord chat from gaming PC and alerts from OBS on streaming PC - I’m missing game chat… Not a huge deal, but if I wanted to play with random or friends without discord (most of my friends are on console) it would be an issue.

Issue #2 - The audio on my stream is staticy… but not all the audio. Music plays fine, but game audio and discord audio is full of static. Also, not sure if this is related, but yesterday and today I’ve had to restart both computers to get the audio to work in OBS - otherwise the slider would not pick up anything. Below is a screenshot of the audio slider settings.

If anyone has any ideas that would help me figure one or both of these issues out, I would GREATLY appreciate it. This audio thing has been extremely frustrating. I’ve watched like 40 different videos and gotten nowhere.

You can increase the time that the alert stays visible to try and catch it all.

As far as I know, no way to link it to a specific amount of time it would take the TTS voice to read the specific message.

Max is 60 seconds for the alert to stay on screen.

Anything you find on the Internet related to StreamLabs will not be relevant. Based on your screenshot, you're in the right place though.

The alertbox is how you will have notifications when you get followers. This alertbox needs to reside in an overlay which can be found here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/overlays If you click the three dots you see in the image, you will see a "Copy URL" click on that, you will then paste that URL into OBS Studio as a browser source being sure to size it at 1920x1080p.

The overlay does not need to contain any other assets but it does need to contain your alertbox.

Once added to OBS, your alerts will pop up when you're streaming.

If you have any other issues after adding it, we can assist with those but at the base, you need to configure your overlay with alertbox and add it to OBS.

Can someone help me? I've been trying to make streams lately but I have a packet loss problem. In tests my upload is always between 15 and 16 mbs with a low ping. I also tested pinging some twitch servers and the pings are low. I use 5000 bitrate and whenever I start the stream on the OBS the square that indicates the quality of the stream is red, saying that I have packet loss and does not exceed 3000 or 4000 kbps.

@potent loom Dropped Frames usually means that you have a bad connection with the streaming service(Twitch/Youtube/Mixer/Facebook) and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

There is always a risk of getting charged back regardless of who is tipping you. In which ever case, as time goes on, you can see who is trolling you and who is not, but when a chargeback happens with PayPal, usually you can dispute the chargeback by providing info to PayPal stating that you are an entertainer and the person provided you with a tip for the content you provided, with a quote of the translation info that states "Thank you for the tip" which is a default message we attach to the paypal tip.

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline
  Note: If you see "X channel has hosted you" with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.
  Note for Mixer streamers: The above 2 filters currently apply for Mixer and we are aware its actually not how Mixer hosts work. We do plan on changing it, but no ETA on when.

I have a question about the !rename command that you can use to move points from your old username to new username. Are the points added together? For example if I have 30k points on my current username and 1k points on an old username, and I type !rename old_username, will I have 31k points after that? Or will I just have the amount of points that the old username has, which means I would lose 30k and only have 1k points. And also will the watchtime of both names be added together? (I'm asking this as a viewer, I'm not a streamer)

Hey! I've been having an issue with fonts in the overlay editor. I can use the first 7 font's in the list for text editing without issue (Arial, Helvetica Neue, Courier New, Times New Roman, Comic Sans, Verdana, and Impact). But when I choose anything below those, the font with change in the overlay editor, but when it updates in OBS, it will just look like Times New Roman. Is this by design? How can I use the other fonts? 🙂

🔹 Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

It isn't 0 by default because it's been tracking your donations since you started using StreamElements. The place he is showing you is within your overlays when you're editing them. You can also reset them from the activity feed here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/activity

Click "Widget Data" then "Goals" and set your Tip goal progress to 0 and click "Save Changes"

Hello, I'm not sure if this is the correct area to ask for advice/help.
I'm a YouTube/Twitch IRL streamer and I've just setup all my Stream Store sound alerts that viewers can redeem during my streams.
I use an RTMP server with OBS Studio on my home PC to broadcast my signal to Twitch/YouTube as I walk around doing my IRL streams.
The sound alerts work when I test them from my PC.
But when I use Companion Mode on my 2nd phone (to view chat/events), the sound alerts do not trigger the sound alerts played through my Bluetooth speaker.
Does anyone have any tips or advice on what I might not be doing correctly?
My sound alerts are enabled for both online and offline.
I have the latest versions of everything, I've added the redemption widget overlay to my OBS Studio, etc.
I'd appreciate any help. Thanks!

But when I pull it into OBS it doesn't seem to pull any of the info for display. The widget pulls data from JustGiving and displays it. You can see it in the bottom right of the above images. @lament blade ok so go into the OBS settings and check if u have the monitor device it is the device u are using to hear it

settings > audio > advanced (block) > monitor device it should be set to "default" change it to your headset or the device u will be using

It does mean that and standard commands will work even if it isn't a mod but it definitely should be with what you're asking in regards to link protection and word filtering. Those won't work unless the bot is able to time people out which he can now do thanks to the moderator privileges.

Further to this, I go to properties of the overlay in OBS and click to open in Stream Elements Overlay Editor. It displays the same as in the OBS editor, but displays correctly in Edge/Chrome. Is there a difference between the rendering in OBS to regular browser rendering? Is there a way I can debug the overlay as displayed in OBS?

Normally changing Hardware acceleration and checkig the dimensions solves the issues.

@fervent kiln 10 minutes of watchtime are given to those in chat when the loyalty points are handed out (every 10 minutes). Therefore, loyalty must be enabled for watchtime to work properly.
There is no direct link between watchtime and all-time points.
It can’t be calculated from the amount of all-time points a user has because subs may earn points at a faster rate and !bonus all command increases all-time points for users in chat at that time.
Giving points to a single user does NOT affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.

🔹 Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again with by connecting with Twitch.
🔹 On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select "Join" under bot settings. If it says "Part" select that and then select "Join" to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
🔹 Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

you will need to use restreams chat and activity feed docks as SE/OBS doesnt support multi streaming.

same for overlays.

now for the bot, as long as the bot is joined and modded in both channels then yes you can do that.

note that these giveaways will be separate (ie cant draw from both platforms user base)

keep in mind that there are some features for twitch that isnt supported on mixer.

its also worth pointing out the mixer bot issues (go to #651453660810838026 and read pinned message)

Hi, I'm a recent affiliate on Twitch and have a rotating widget overlay that tracks follows, subs, tips, bits etc.. The issue I'm having is that it is showing my total number sub count incorrectly.

When I go to widget data, it's listing the correct number of subs (names) however when I go to totals (which is a segment being read by my widget) it shows an incorrect figure for total subs.

Is there anyway to adjust this to correct

After you install OBS.Live, click on "Streamelements" on top, then on "Import from other services" and then click on "StreamLabs - Import Now"

Goals are not tied to your total.

This allows you to, for example, set a goal of 10 new followers for each stream, rather than displaying your total.

However, wouldn't it make sense to maybe allow us to use a variable in the field that would correspond to the actual total amount?

You can replicate that by using the total followers widget.

And edit the text to {amount}/1000 for example, to set your end goal to 1000.

Yeah each overlay is a seperate entity.

You can "combine" them just by moving all widgets into a single one and working out of only that one.

Each overlay will have it's own URL which would need to be it's own browser source.

There is a button in the editor at the top to duplicate to another overlay.

I can't get a picture right now but it is two boxes on top of each other.

You click the widget then click that button and it'll give you the option to move it to another overlay.

No problem, just create a new overlay then go into all your overlays that have widgets you want to use and duplicate ethe widgets to this new overlay. Once you have them all, go edit your new overlay to how you want it and add that one as a browser source.
