@minor sleet Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card and a PC with OBS in order to have Overlays over your console gameplay.

well because ShareX sees it as its own window even if its docked so it captures only that - no need to capture OBS in 1920x1080 just to show something specific with the dock

Global cooldown - if a user uses the command, no one else can use the command until the cooldown timer is over

so one is individual cooldown and the other is everyone else

Hello, A friend of me has a chat box on his overlays. But when he transitions to his overlay in obs, there are no chat messages.
I have entered the same settings which I have on my own overlays, but it's not working for him. (Editor on his channel). The messages aren't displaying in the overlay editor. I already tried removing the chat box and made it from scratch, but not working also.
What could the issue be?

Hello everyone I've got questions about making commands for my Twitch channel.
It's a been a few hours now that I try to establish gif commands for my stream but I have some issues.

What I want is really easy : I want my viewers to be able to launch some funny gifs (with audio) simply by writing a command. For exemple if they write !woaw, I made a special gif of myself coming to screen saying "woaw".

I succeeded to make that happen through the store redemption, I uploaded my gif and audio in the stream store and names it woaw.
Then, I went in the "Chat commands" and created a Custom command "!woaw" with the response "${redeem woaw}" so that we don't have to type "!redeem (...)"
Everything works perfectly !

But I encounter a few problems :

1- Most of all, I would like to be able to seperate different gifs. For exemple, I also have a gif of my cat appearing to the screen with the command !cat. I would like my cat to appear at a special place on the screen, different that the !woaw one.

2- The gif and audio aren't always syncronized

3- I want my gifs to be played only once and not being on repetetive mode

Can someone help me with all this ?

@twilit heath 10 minutes of watchtime are given to those in chat when the loyalty points are handed out (every 10 minutes). Therefore, loyalty must be enabled for watchtime to work properly.
There is no direct link between watchtime and all-time points.
It can’t be calculated from the amount of all-time points a user has because subs may earn points at a faster rate and !bonus all command increases all-time points for users in chat at that time.
Giving points to a single user does NOT affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.

For some reason I cannot get the HOST and DONATIONS alerts to pop up. They are setup the same way I have done for the other alerts, and those are all working great. Could I be missing something? • All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline
  Note: If you see "X channel has hosted you" with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.
  Note for Mixer streamers: The above 2 filters currently apply for Mixer and we are aware its actually not how Mixer hosts work. We do plan on changing it, but no ETA on when.

• from the dashboard -> activity feed on the left -> widget data on the right -> goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal
  Note: Goal widgets(progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you loose followers/subs

hello, in desperate need of some help with an extremely annoying issue that I cannot seem to fix! I am trying to configure obs ndi to send my gameplay to my streaming pc. It all works fine and dandy until I get to the final step, selecting my source name. When I try find my gaming computers source from the drop down menu, it is just blank. There is no source. To make it even more confusing, If I reverse the computers roles (I send a signal from my gaming pc to my streaming pc) It works? Please help!

Yep, v'got a new issue

Everything seemed to be perfectly fine and yet.. yeah ! I'm not satisfied
The widget I used (this one : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7ub7j2uRR8 ) works fine, gifs pops-up in my stream without problem but this "loop" paramater destroy everything.

When I tape in the chat "!woaw", my gif pops-up fine but when I do tape "!woaw" again, the gifs doesn't start from the beginning and start wherever the loop kept going on in.. the matrix.
So I decided to shut down the loop parameter by recreating my gif into photoshop. I uploaded it on streamlabs and tried everything again, so now when you tape "!woaw" in the chat : the gifs pop-ups fine but then never pops up again like you can only use it once !!

Please understand that every setup will be very different.

Any guides or videos that claim otherwise are misinforming. Your best option is to start with a base and adjust as necessary.

You can run the OBS auto-configuration tool. To use the auto-config, click on the Tools menu in OBS, select Auto-Configuration Wizard, and then just follow the on-screen directions.
You can use this tool to get baseline settings for your hardware and adjust as necessary from there.

Test, test, and test again. We are happy to offer suggestions for any issues you may be having afterwards, but not a list of settings.

Wouldn't that be because of length? It looks like the tradeoff for each line is that the row of emotes after the link make it long enough that the next link would wrap to the next line, not necessarily designed to break specifically on links

Start fresh, reboot the whole thing and go through the normal process you did to initially rename your bot via Ground Control.

You can rename your bot with Ground Control or OBS.Live, you've been doing Ground Control which is fine and we just flipped a switch for you to make sure it works via Ground Control.

There might be a hang up somewhere so just run the cycle again and let's see where we land.

Hey guys, I have a problem with media request. Every time I try to add media it hits me with a "Could not add media" or when I am in the widget is says "An internal server error occurred". Any help with this would be appreciated!

@dark gale you will copy the Overlay link on the (...) menu and on the OBS you will add a Source > Browser, paste the link, and set the screen resolution.

Hey i have some streamelements questions
1: ive seen in some tutorial vids that its important to set the resolution to which youre streaming to to the correct value (in the tutorial this was 1080p) but how do i know what im streaming to?

2: With streamelements is it somehow possible to let users redeem a discord role with Loyalty Points? And if yes, will they automatically get the discord role in discord added?

@unreal plover you can choose as your need, you can run the Auto-Configuration Wizard to get it... menu TOOLS on the OBS.
