Okay so on the bottom left of the screen on the windows bar is all the activities that are running (its by the sound, wfi, date and time, ect...) when obs is open i can hide it (when im streaming) and basically have nothing open but the chat (even though i wont be able to see my bitrate and audio quality, i still do it because it helps my fps). So when i go try and hid it, it doesnt work no action happens

@steady hatch Due to changes to Twitch API, we have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline
  Note: If you see "X channel has hosted you" with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.
  Note for Mixer streamers: The above 2 filters currently apply for Mixer and we are aware its actually not how Mixer hosts work. We do plan on changing it, but no ETA on when.

The problem is that Twitch activity feed AND streamlabs (after a while) has more things in the feed than the SE-feed (all filters on). Missing follows.
But, I think there is a support ticket in the system somewhere.

And for me, this looks like something in the integration layer in between my twitch and SE. And, thats not something that I can look up as far as I know 🙂

**This is how i changed my Bot Name in Stream Elements using Ground Control. **

Date: 05/05/2020
GC Version: 1.7.2

So i needed to download a new version on Ground Control which wasn't mentioned. GC didnt auto update, you need to manually download the new version.

1. After downloading Ground control version 1.7.2
2. The custom bot name section is displayed.
3. I then made sure i was signed into my bot account in Twitch
4. Then in Ground Control I clicked on "You can generate your OAuth Token here" which will open up a web page with your token.
5. I entered my bots name and the generated OAuth Token into ground control
6. Click Test Bot and you should see the bot say "Hello, is this thing on?" in your Twitch chat.

This is how i got it to work. The help links from the discord bot doesnt really explain all to well

@twin sentinel about this question, I found a way to make it work... the !addpoints command sent by the bot does not work, because the bot cannot interpret a command sent by itself. However, when you change the bot name to the same name as your Twitch profile, using OBS.live, it is possible to make the command work. The bot will receive your command "!drop" or "!daily" or "!teste" or etc in the chat, it will forward the message with the command "!addpoints user random-points" to the chat and understand that the command !addpoints sent in the chat was typed by you (streamer/broadcaster) and not by the bot. So it's a way to cheat the system by changing the way the bot reads the chat. 🙂

🔹 Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again with by connecting with Twitch.
🔹 On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select "Join" under bot settings. If it says "Part" select that and then select "Join" to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
🔹 Post your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

@vapid sail 10 minutes of watchtime are given to those in chat when the loyalty points are handed out (every 10 minutes). Therefore, loyalty must be enabled for watchtime to work properly.
There is no direct link between watchtime and all-time points.
It can’t be calculated from the amount of all-time points a user has because subs may earn points at a faster rate and !bonus all command increases all-time points for users in chat at that time.
Giving points to a single user does NOT affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.

@lament blade Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card and a PC with OBS in order to have Overlays over your console gameplay.

Until PayPal clears the tip and sends back a confirmation to your StreamElements account, no information will appear there and no alert will play, as that confirmation is the only way for us to be aware of a successful transaction. If you believe there may be an issue with the transaction, you'll need to contact PayPal support as StreamElements is only a passthrough service and never actually gets involved with the transaction or touches the money.

Hey guys, so I have a question. I opened up my Elgato HD60s capture card and realized my overlays were not loading in from StreamElements. I think it is on SE's side because everything else on Elgato works. My audio, my Logitech camera and their pre made overlays work on the capture card. Is SE working on something and are down for maintenance? I also tried emulating my alerts through SE and they do not show up on my capture card. It is completely blank. I would appreciate any and all help, thank you!

@wide hollow We cannot be held responsible for an Elgato update that doesn't like our overlays. Our design philosophy is to make it compatible with Chromium, as that's what's used in OBS browser sources.
@lament blade Audio not playing on stream is because your sources are not playing through the devices you've set in Settings>Audio, most likely.

Here is the setup and it used to work but then out of the blue it stopped working.

I have setup Command aliases under the command !pause (to pause my music during stream). Reason: I run Stream Avatars and when a minigame is triggered I have other sounds I want playing. Example: !bossfight triggers the Command aliase and the music does indeed PAUSE. This use to work with !duel but now, it does not. Duel module is disabled and the !duel command for SE is disabled. All I want is for the Music to Pause when the command !duel is issued.

I also tried to make my own custom !duel command with the command alias to pause. This command outputs the text I gave it saying Music Paused but still does not issue the command to !pause - 2 attempts, 2 failures.

I have had the same issue as you with the overlays not loading. I'm on Mac and dont have PC so cant use Streamlabs OBS because there is no drivers for it for mac. I have never had this issue before so think its an elgato problem. @wide hollow
