I have a little bit of an issue here with StreamElements notifications. Despite having notifications setup for alerts and such they don't seem to be triggering when events happen, most of the events DO work, but not all of them. Specifically the alert notifications for people hosting the stream. StreamElements does not trigger a notification that someone is hosting my stream when someone hosts. The notifications work when I press the test button from the Widget Dashboard, but never when someone actually hosts with the /host command or from their Twitch Dashboard.

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline
  Note: If you see "X channel has hosted you" with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.
  Note for Mixer streamers: The above 2 filters currently apply for Mixer and we are aware its actually not how Mixer hosts work. We do plan on changing it, but no ETA on when.

Searched far and wide and even in in here it says the same as everywhere else. Active Overlay, Active Tipping Panel setup, Bot as Moderator and Active in chat. Still no option to change the name. Thanks in advance!

Hello everyone, today viewers bought on my sub channel through paysafecard. And the thing is, it doesn't show me in the Stream Elements application. I thought it was overlay, but after buying a gift someone worked everything.

Is this the fault of the application or something needs to be set in addition?

@neon ice Twitch prime (new and resub) and paid subscriptions (resub only) must be shared in chat manually by the person subscribing in order for the subscription information to be sent to StreamElements. For twitch prime, the user needs to have sharing enabled on https://www.twitch.tv/settings/prime. Kappagen works great when I'm not live, so I'm thinking it's a resource issue. My BRB screen didn't refresh either, and made it look like I took an hour long break, lol

Kappagen is broken by using gif emotes, just tested, and Kappa is dead after a single gif tried to roll through. No good way to refresh this yet.

Custom Fonts

Steps:

1. Install the font on the streaming PC or choose a pre-installed windows font.
2. In the overlay widget settings, select Text Settings
3. Enable Custom Font
4. Type the name of the font as it appears in the windows font directory (This is usually C:\Windows\Fonts)

Note: After installing fonts, the browser and OBS must be restarted for the font to appear.

Yes, the bot is in the channel. and when i redeem from the store, it sends a message that the item has been redeemed and the alert does go off. I just can't have people type "!redeem haha" in chat for a quick redeem. i make sure i have enough points and i do make it 1.

Hi there I was wondering is there any way to have my chat type in a command plus any word or words and get added to a list that shows the words they typed. Then is there a way to select people from that list based on the words they typed and have one of the names randomly selected?

example persons 1 2 & 3 say !loot duck 4 5 & 6 say !loot car person 7 says !loot rabbit and persons 8 9 & 10 say !loot hat. Those names would go on a list and the word they said would also be displayed and then i could click on persons 8 9 & 10 because they guessed what my loot was and then i randomly select one of them to get a reward

I have an issue with host alerts using streamelements. Whenever someone hosts the channel, it doesnt give me an alert if there are 0 viewers viewing the channel. Is there a way to fix this? I even tried making a variation for exactly 0 viewers and it still does not work?

@sharp wharf Due to changes to Twitch API, we have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline
  Note: If you see "X channel has hosted you" with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.
  Note for Mixer streamers: The above 2 filters currently apply for Mixer and we are aware its actually not how Mixer hosts work. We do plan on changing it, but no ETA on when.

Hi there. I might need your help for alerts issues. I use Destiny 2 overlay theme and i dont get alerts on SLOBS. They come in mini feed but not in chat or in live scene. I test them in streamelements site and they seem to work fine and they appear in live scene but not in chat or mini feed and vice versa (tested the ones from SLOBS and got no answer in live scene). @daring hound We're not able to troubleshoot issues with using our overlays in StreamLabs OBS (SLOBS) as we don't have the tools to support their software. We recommend using OBS Studio or OBS Studio with our plugin OBS.Live.

And even then you'd need multiple windows open to track all the information for multiple platforms as we only support 1 at a time.

Lower game settings or lower stream settings. You can't expect the same settings to work for every game you play; each has its own demands.

Close all other programs when streaming except for OBS and the game.

Please understand that every setup will be very different.

Any guides or videos that claim otherwise are misinforming. Your best option is to start with a base and adjust as necessary.

You can run the OBS auto-configuration tool. To use the auto-config, click on the Tools menu in OBS, select Auto-Configuration Wizard, and then just follow the on-screen directions.
You can use this tool to get baseline settings for your hardware and adjust as necessary from there.

Test, test, and test again. We are happy to offer suggestions for any issues you may be having afterwards, but not a list of settings.

I believe my partnership into MTG Arena content creator program is bugged, I have over 250k views and 2.5k subs, I believe this is bugged because people who I brought to the community with no following are being accepted. I also believe the issue was due to my accounts not linking correctly, as when I applied it showed 0 followers and 0 views, this is incorrect, I should be able to fix this by filling out my profile BEFORE applying!

Sorry, I do not really get what you are trying to achieve.
To delete all the added overlays to your OBS, delete all browser soures in all scenes with an overlay.

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline
  Note: If you see "X channel has hosted you" with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.
  Note for Mixer streamers: The above 2 filters currently apply for Mixer and we are aware its actually not how Mixer hosts work. We do plan on changing it, but no ETA on when.

Currently trying to correct my friends daily sub/follow goal. We reset the session and reloaded the overlays. Nothing changed, how do you make it so someone can do a daily or weekly goal? Nothing resets and all tickers still show...

I was in here before asking about bot command creation, but I have some more questions. Maybe because I don't really understand the documentation I was given. I'm trying to create a !catfacts command that behaves like a !quote command, including on-the-fly adding of lines and automatic updating (such as to correct a fact). Just now I made a bunch of edits and the command wouldn't show updated lines correctly.

@naive whale A custom command on its own won't be capable of a quotes system. You need an API for that. Luckily, a community member made one that works via pastebin. You can't add/remove via chat, but if you make a "stream" account on pastebin and give the credentials to your mods, you and they can edit it as you need: https://thefyrewire.com/docs/api/

Hi I i have set the bot to delete certain messages during stream but i cant view the messages. So my question is, is there a way to view messages deleted by the bot that way it can be decided if a ban needs to occur or not

@hushed snow To add your overlays to OBS, add a new browser source in your scene. Paste your overlay URL in the browser source properties, set the dimensions to 1920x1080 (unless you changed them on the website), and ☑ “Shutdown source when not visible” https://youtu.be/KDvLynUqXI4
