I have a few problems. 1) Videos in the streamstore play double sound, + they keep playing uncontrolled in the background, just repeating the sound until I disable them in the shop. 2) !skip in the mediarequest department only works half the time. Has anyone experienced this?

The only other thing I could think of not causing it to work is that the user does not have the needed user level to use it, or due to cooldown reasons to the !skip command.

But it turns out people can change their chat text to make it look like a donation. I didn't know that. So I thought I actually had a donation. So, yeah, there really was no hold on Paypal. @reef mason I think I know the reason. There are two commands which are called !skip which have two different functonalities.
The first one, availabe for everyone is to vote to skip a song and the second one is for the moderator level to skip a song immediately. These two named the same might interfear with each other.

Try with making the !skip command to vote to skip another name than the skip commands for mods. The default handle was !voteskip and !skip.

I have had these set up successfully before, but now when I add the store redemptions widget to the SE Overlay it wont play a sound even though I get a successful redeem in chat. @forest gate it's a know issue for some sound alerts. i think the only thing that works right now to fix it super fast is to delete the item and re-add it until a general fix is being rolled out. sorry for the inconvenience

@wicked plank If a viewer tipped through PayPal but no information appears in your StreamElements account, this generally means PayPal has held the tip for verification. Until PayPal clears the tip and sends back a confirmation to your StreamElements account, no information will appear there and no alert will play, as that confirmation is the only way for us to be aware of a successful transaction. If you believe there may be an issue with the transaction, you'll need to contact PayPal support as StreamElements is only a passthrough service and never actually gets involved with the transaction or touches the money.

If you are using an audio routing tool, then also check that please if you rerouted your audio the wrong way.

Some of my alerts seem to be getting semi-drowned out by my music; I thought SR music was supposed to quiet down when an alert is playing, no? Or am I just imagining that? Cause I swear my default alerts arent normally this drowned out....unless my default alerts are just that loud x.x if thats the case I'd need to re-render them at a higher volume I suppose, which I can do (I realized in hindsight I had them reduced a bit during editing)

Yep just found it give me one second I’m going to try changing the messages again and see if that works
Now when I click enable for each individual alert the chat alerts get disabled. When I click enable for chat alerts the individual alerts are disabled

My biggest issue is with subs because I change the messages for both and then when I change the tab to a different alert and go back to subs it goes back to this where the new subs don’t even get the full sentence
And even if I delete the preset sentences and switch tabs and then go back it still reappears

Don't switch tabs, refresh the page after making a change.
The change is put into effect, the disappearance on tab switch is just a visual bug.

- All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
- Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline
Note: If you see "X channel has hosted you" with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.

@weak mason Follow these steps to grant managers/moderators access to your dashboard:
- Click on your Channel Name at the top of the dashboard and select Settings
- Create a new invite at one of three access levels (Bot Supervisor, Editor, Full Control)
- Send this invite to a mod/manager to give them access to your dashboard. The link is one-time-use and expires after 72 hours if not accepted

is there anyway to make it so my stream elements bot can redeem store items? When I changed the bots name, it made it so the bot could redeem store items (i.e., trigger sound effects)
@ionic kelp Its hard to explain. I use 3x Elgato Stream decks and have a lot of scene effects to keep things fun and interesting (over 100 different scenes in OBS, lol.) When I installed OBS.live, my scene effects would freeze and not function properly.
I uninstalled it, and the problem went away.
@little oak My Ground Control does not have those settings underneath "show viewers count"

due to the change in twitch API few ppl were affected by it and the option is no longer available in GC. You now have to change the name thru OBS.Live till they come up with a fix for custom bot name in GC
