hello, when you upload an image or sound to your library for use in an overlay, is that also retrieveable via a url? For example when you upload a sound to wizebot, it tells you the url of the sound you just uploaded. Is there an equivalent in SE?

ok this is frying my brain, when i have alerts trigger in OBS they echo, like a second is playing, but when i test in overlay editor they dont, ive checked all my browser sources and they are all unique with different names and are set to shutdown when not visible, but still echo when triggered, if I hide the alert on that scene then they just dont show at all

hello, I have a small issue with streamlabs and the audio input. I made sure that the microphone I was using is connected and working through the computer, but when it gets connected to streamlabs, it does not work in the audio mixer. any suggestions?

Okay so I dont know which channel would be best for this but figured Ill try in this one, I am trying to make a overlay though the website. I have files for my alerts and have triple checked them in the alertbox settings to ensure they are set right but no matter what I do the one i have set for cheers is not changing, it wont use the sound of webm file I am telling it to use. It shows the right one in the settings but then when i test it it still plays the incorrect one.

You should be able to add all of these things to one overlay and as you make changes in the editor, they will reflect in OBS
Any changes or additions you need to make you should make in ONE overlay within the overlay editor. This includes alerts, labels, widgets, text, images, videos, etc

If you changed your name on Twitch please follow these steps:
🔹 Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again with by connecting with Twitch.
🔹 On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select "Join" under bot settings. If it says "Part" select that and then select "Join" to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
🔹 Post your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

@polar wasp the overlay is loading faster than the fade. You can try to do a “transition override” by right-clicking on your game scene and selecting “transition override” and setting the fade to about 500ms

I hope I'm not interrupting, but our channel has had an issue with the Bot Module -> Chat Alerts -> Redemption alert not responding in the past week. Everything else appears fine, but if I redeem an item from the stream store, the above alert doesn't appear.
I've enabled/disabled both the redemption alert, and the top level Chart Alert, changed the content of the alert to 'Test test test' and see nothing in chat when I redeem.

Ahhh ok, after some more searching, I see that on Friday @zenith widget reported that the chat alerts redemption response might be bugged on the StreamElements side. So hopefully once we're back in the working week it may be fixed. 👍

"STOP"
As if he is acting as somebody else, system tries to tie invitation to moderated account, not main one.
And to prevent misclicks we decided to display that error instead.

Hello! I'm betting there is a simple answer to this question...but since I'm new to StreamElements, I'll ask anyway. When using JUST OBS, there is a spot here for your stream key, mine being Twitch obviously. So how do you authenticate using StreamElements? I can't seem to find it anywhere. (If it exists)

no, that functionality is not yet available, so if you prepare everything in the original first and then copy, it will all be the same. but if you change something after that in the first one, you would have to change it too in the other ones as it will not be automatically updated in the other overlays. (or you can just copy the widget again and delete the old version) 😉

When I am in the overlay editor and I have several widgets on the page where one widget is as big as the page and the others are all smaller, how do I easily get to the one I want to work with? When I click on it the system thinks I'm grabbing the big one (on top) and not the smaller one (underneath it).

- Press Win+R to open the Run dialog

@wind robin OBS isnt set up for scene profile like SLOBS is. i belive you can save external files for the profiles to be loaded. as for SE, if you want to change profiles for example a seasonaal decoration. youd have to manually change the source code for the already set up overlays from the SE site. At least thats what i had to do. not sure if theres any other way.

Just sit and spend my time writing and when I get to know that I can get help from a Danish support then I do not come very far when there are mistakes in many of the things I need so if no one can help me then I have to go back to streamlabs because it is very easy to look up it can not fit that I was told that I would get a Danish supporter to help me and then you come and say no one is now

I haven't been able to stream for 4-5 months because streamlabs obs have been shit quality when people saw me play live on it and I've tried everything and it didn't work and that's why I try this new thing and see if it works and therefore I need help so everything works just fine because has Microphone: Shure SM7B - Mixer: Yamaha MG10XU which is pretty good and then I have a PC where I can play everything at high settings but as soon as I stream I have to watch them down to low and even though I do, there are still layers and my net is 400 + -400 + so don't understand the problem therefore I need all the help I can get so I can go live without any problems
I can speak some English so if you can just join the voice room you have made on discord I can say what the problem is with most things or translate it on google translate and send you the message so you know what to do and I can take pictures of what it looks like in my streamlabs obs so you know how to look it up in my stream elemenets obs account

Plus there are many errors in obs like you have where you can't make the scroll work on texts as the support said to me yesterday
Plus there are many other things that don't just work plus it's hard to set up layout so it looks good because you have to use overlay editor and jerk around a lot of times and then everything doesn't always work and so when changing scene I can see my webcam without overlay and my overlay comes only after 3-5 seconds so people can see my webcam without overlay for some time it is not good it was him the support of yesterday making it for me
Plus when I try to set tools to give me the best settings it does not bother because it comes with many errors and the support saw us yesterday but then he said it was because I was on mobile networks but then I went on my good network and still couldn't do it as he said would work

I made an alert for when I get hosted. A friend of mine hosts me but then my alert doesn't come up. I already put the amount of viewers to 0 but it's still not work. Any explanation?

@magic spoke Due to changes to Twitch API, we have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:
- All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
- Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline
Note: If you see "X channel has hosted you" with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.

Is there a way to just delete links that are posted and not time out the user who posts it and delete their previous messages?
I just want to remove the message containing the link specifically and have the bot tell them why it was deleted.

Im having trouble with media request on a friends channel. My media request will play through a queue just fine but on hers it will not auto play the next video when the current one ends
also if the queue runs out and goes to backup list you cant play the backup list it will just keep repeating the end of the queue

earlier when i had obs open and clicked show media on screen to see if it would work it was working fine but now it says i dont have an active widget and it only shows media in another browser tab when i open up the media overlay
i also went live to see if the problem still happened and it did im just starting and im very confused
because before the media share widget when opened took up the whole screen now its just the small rectangle in corner like how it would look in stream but i thought that the obs could just scale it down which it did

I'm having issues linking the "tip" function to my twitch account. I copy and pasted the link that was generated but it doesn't create a widget that links to the page. I paste the link into the browser and it takes me right to the page.

You're supposed to paste that link into a panel on your Twitch page with an image. It doesn't do all the work for you.
