If you were to delete all your variations, the main alert would play for everything. Variations are there to tailor messages and alerts to specific events.

Giving points to a single user does NOT affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.

hey, how does the editcounter command work. When I type in the command normally, it displays a number greater than 0, but when I try to edit the counter, it says it updated from 0 to 0

so you use the name in the ${count} in this case being deaths

- All manual host events (0 hosts included and if filter set to 0)
- All hosts coming from an online channel. If the hosting channel has been offline, we do not show it
- All auto host events with at least 1 viewer
Note: An offline host is when you see "X channel has just hosted you" - with no viewer numbers on the back

When people redeem items from my store, the bot always alerts us in the chat. First, there doesn't seem to be a way to turn that off and, second, every time the bot sends an alert it tries to put in emotes, but only the codes show

If the items are redeemed via chat, you cannot disable the notification. What emotes are you referring to? Are the emotes in the alert message on screen or in the message in chat? What emote is that exactly what is written out?

If you are using StreamLabs, best to ask StreamLabs, if you are referring to the overlay editor of StreamElements it depends. You can try to create a pic/video widget, add the item to it and in the preview on the left when the widget is selected, you should be able to right click it and dowload the items.

Hello. I am trying to Window Capture Chrome in streamlabs but get only black screen. I have tried to Browser Source but then I get this GDPR which I cannot press on in Streamlabs. (note the GDPR does not appear in my browser window) I have tried troubleshooting from this site but to no avail.

@stiff sentinel could you elaborate? without specifics it is extremely difficult to identify a solution to a problem.
@obsidian notch You would need to make the GIF into a video file (webm preferably) and loop the GIF as many times as needed in the video. Then you can set the alert duration to be as long as the GIF loops.

@celest knoll Not to my knowledge, as counters automatically count up when the command is used and while the default command !editcommand exists there isn't a variable which can be put into custom commands that also does this. Might be best asking in #dev-chat though 👍

You don't need to repeat your question multiple times 😛 but no, there's currently no variables to add/remove points, it has to be done manually.
The closest solution I can think of is making a !first command that has a regex that detects only the word first so that when someone types it, the bot replies with something like $(user) was first! They deserve $(random.10-100) points, then a mod has to give them that amount of points.
You would also need to put a very long global cooldown on it

@cinder olive found out that there's a way thru store redemptions, we can play a sound. Although, I didn't want it to be"bought" with a command, I wanted it with a specific phrase. For instance: I have a counter, and when it hits a specific number of counts, it would activate it

- Stream Perk
- Loyalty settings to your desire
- (Next step) Add contents (image and/or sound you want to play)
- "Redeeming this item shows an alert
- Redemable via chat
- Skip Requirements
- Get the item name/command from the 2nd creation page
- Go to commands page here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/bot/commands/custom
- Add command with desired name and have response for command as:
${redeem item_name_here} - Go to your overlays and edit the overlay you use.
- Click on "widgets" and add "Store redemptions" widget. Click save and you should be golden.
- Test your own command in chat and have OBS or editor open to hear sound

Is it overlay issue with the wide streaming?

because twitch forces 1920x1080 max res, so it doesn't like wide streams

It is game capture issue and source being distorted or out of focus when game capturing. I know about the resolution of Twitch but...
I don't know since i play on ultrawide monitor and resolution, what should be 1) the ideal size of each capture
and 2 ) When in output, should i rescale to what resolution

Look at this streamer: cutedog_ and see how his done his setup.
To elaborate: his OBS canvas is 1920x1080
so his game capture just matches from side to side sizes
and uses the black space that is left over bellow the gameplay
to set his game, chat and other overlay things
But he doesn't use us, just to point out
Other thing is, get your games on window mode and have them be 1920x1080 resolution in the window mode

So the point is, you cannot avoid any sort of distortion visually with ultrawide and twich, unless Twitch changes its practices

I doubt twitch will change their force scaling to 1920x1080 max resolution
as 99% of phones are 16:9 resolution

or just..ya know...get your get in windowed mode, set the resolution of the window mode to 1920x1080 and capture that.
