Recents and Tops work differently. Recents can simply temporarily store some data and be fine, but Tops have more to consider. For instance, if MrBoost changed to MrBOOst for Halloween and tipped, should he as the top tipper be shown as MrBoost or MrBOOst? If it strictly considered capitalization, then he'd have two tipper spots in the leaderboard, which wouldn't be fair to him. As Twitch's API handles everything in lowercase anyway, that was deemed the easiest way to handle that situation.

@warped plover Turn it off completely for yourself? Because that isn't possible. If you want to hide it you can have it playing in something like Ground Control and minimize it, but the video has to play for you to hear the audio
@lyric pivot Goal widgets are not the same as Total widgets, if you want a widget showing your total followers you should use the widget named Total Followers instead of Follower Goal. Follower Goal is meant to count up 1 follower when you gain a follower but it isn't designed to count down when you lose 1
This is why you see a difference between your count currently

Thanks, I kind of assumed that was what was happening, but there is no way to change that current number then? Sadly, if there isn't a way to change the number, the widget is mostly useless as that number is ever changing up and down.

A goal would be useless if you couldn't 😃
But it is worth noting that if you want a widget to show your total count, then you'd be best using a Total widget, as you'll be forever updating a Goal widget if you want it to go down when you lose followers too

hey all, I activated my loyalty system the other day and it's great. However, I added an item in my stream store but when my chat redeems it, the alert doesn't show up on stream. I made sure I checked "redeeming this item shows an alert", and I have a gif as well as a sound associated with the alert. The SE Bot says it has been redeemed and the points update, and the redeem shows up in my activity feed on OBS Live. Any suggestions on how to fix the alert problem?

@tight harness I turned added the store redemption widget, and made sure the item was a "stream perk" and the same redemption shows as alert box checked. That's right, but your monitoring device has to be different from the one you're mainly using because this would cause the viewers to hear it over your desktop audio.
E.g. your main device are your headphones but your monitoring device are your speakers.

@rocky quartz If your video capture device is not displaying video in OBS, try setting the resolution and FPS to something known that the device supports. Go to the Video Capture Device properties, change Resolution/FPS Type from Device Default to Custom, and then set the options accordingly

@sweet glen Twitch prime (new and resub) and paid subscriptions (resub only) must be shared in chat manually by the person subscribing in order for the subscription information to be sent to StreamElements. For twitch prime, the user needs to have sharing enabled on https://www.twitch.tv/settings/prime. Hello I have a question about streamelements alerts cause I am having problems with my host alert cause it is not activating when someone hosted my channel on stream but when testing the alert it shows anyone know why this is happening?

@odd void Due to changes to Twitch API, we have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:
- All manual host events (0 hosts included and if filter set to 0)
- All hosts coming from an online channel. If the hosting channel has been offline, we do not show it
- All auto host events with at least 1 viewer
Note: An offline host is when you see "X channel has just hosted you" - with no viewer numbers on the back

Sorry I should specify, more along the lines of the mentality I guess, behind it. Like the ratios and values you should use to create something thats balanced. I've been struggling with that on my stream lately, lots of trial and error so far. I watched the video on steting up the store and loyalty which is great but as far as setting values. Also the purpose of modules like Slots, kinda confusing to me, with the slider and apparently theres a multiplier? I had a mod testing it today at 99% 1000 min bet and he won one slots game which got him 23k and then lost 27 games after that..

With slots the slider is to set the amount of points you win, the chance is worked out entirely by how many emotes you add

The counts are not tied to the commands themselves. They are global across the bot (in your channel). Deleting the command does not reset the counter
To edit the counter you need to do !editcount <name> <count>

You can also make a reset command like this: Reset lullaby count to ${count lullaby 0}.
As for the response, it might just be slow updating the command. Save it a few times, refresh the page or something and try again. Disabling and reenabling the command also sometimes gives it a kick
@twilit knoll you're talking about transcoding options (viewers being able to change the stream quality on their side). These options are only available depending on the servers available. Partners are guaranteed transcoding, affiliates have priority over non-affiliates, but not guaranteed. Depends on server load. So sometimes you'll get them, sometimes you won't.
In general, 900p is a good quality to stream at imo. It's good enough to provide good quality and not so taxing that most people with bad internet can't watch if you don't happen to get quality options

ok, im at a loss here. I have created a playlist in vlc m3u format. also tried other format with same results. I tick shuffle playlist but everytime the scene is loaded it plays the same song
if i open the playlist in vlc it shuffles them on its own just fine.

Is it possible to edit the songrequest command? If so how? It doesn't appear in the list - I use SE myself and I also Mod for someone and Overwatch is our main game - the rank is called "SR" in the game and I want to have !sr display the SR which I change manually after every match - just changing the song request command to !mr instead would be great but yeah - can't find how - I have editor access to the streamer's dashboard

@loud swan the SongRequest is in the default commands, you should be able to edit it so you can change the alias to MR instead of SR

Nothing will appear until an alert actually plays. If emulations aren't playing in OBS, reread the bold text above.
Also make sure you saved your overlay.
