That will save you hassle from someone previously banned from tipping, to be able to tip you as well.

You can create an overlay add the MediaRequest widget to it and add this via a link to OBS as Browser Source.
You can get the link while in the overlay editor on the lower left, by selecting "Launch"

im not sure about g2a, as i dont use it. i can ask internally to see if someone knows the answer, however i would imagine there would be no way to check as SE only sees twitch data relevant to them.

Steps to enable custom name

- Copy/paste everything in the box to Ground Control oAuth settings and enter the name for the bot account
- Restart Ground Control (custom name may take a few minutes to take effect)
Mac does not currently support renaming the bot.

pretty sure if you upvote it, it makes it so you follow it, and then you would get notified on updates. If you have an overlay with an alert widget, open that in the overlay editor on the phone, I would expect the alert sounds to play. Since you have an SL tipping link, cant help you with alerts from that however

@frigid radish In your streamelements dashboard (website) on the left hand side at the bottom is ‘Modules’. Click on that and go to the ‘Chat Module’. In there you will see chat modules for subs, follows, donations etc. select the one you want to change and there will be an option to turn it off. You may need to remove the bot and re add it to your channel for the changes to take effect. 😊

Please make sure you checked the "shutdown when not visible" on EVERY source with an StreamElements Overlay in your OBS. Even the hidden ones.
Also make sure you muted or closed the overlay Editor in the background.

Hello, is it a known issue that donation/bit alerts seem to round up a penny (or am I doing somethign wrong)? For instance, if I have a special alert set as 2.99 the alert also plays at 3.00. I do not have the 'Pick an alert randomly when more than one matches' selected. I also have the 2.99 one set as 'EXACT'. IN addition, I do have another donation alert range that encompasses around the 2.99 (1 - 10). However, when someone donats 2.99 or 3.00 it plays. It does not play at 2.98 nor 3.01 though. I've also tested this with other amounts such as 9.99/10 and 4.99/5 - It does the same thing.

Yes - even if you are not streaming, but OBS needs to be running in order for them to show up there.

If you are adding "recent" widgets, then you might have to manually populate the labels
if you are in the overlay editor -> data on top
and in the first tab that is "labels" most likely its empty - you can manually place some names there from the imported people.

@normal fog Some stuff like the aggregates needs a stream or a session reset to happen, in order to populate from the imported info.
Click on the "Sessions" tab and rest the session
and hope that the aggregates repopulate.

Just click "Start streaming" and tab to your game
open your channel chat from your phone, as you don't have a 2nd monitor it seems.
Look - at this point this has nothing to do with our tools and features. You are asking general questions about streaming - you can research and ask google about all of that.
There are plenty of guides on how to get started streaming, if you just search "How to start streaming on twitch"

Twitch is easy to work butt I found out about something called stream element and remembered that I also need to add tipping
So decided to try the stream element software

You would need a brodcast software (obs, xsplit) to add custom browser overlays (or any overlays for that matter)
Consols don't allow browser url overlays (or any typ of overlays or alerts)

But you can always use the StreamElements Bot. Since it's cloud based, technicaly could be set up with your phone (it's just a bit messy because mobile)

Yes that's a diffrent Software. Phone apps (also such as our irl streaming app) allows to have custom overlays and sources added
Consoles don't have a way of inputing URL's as overlay links or add graphics to it from a USB stick or something like it.
It's just not possible.
It's only possible if you route the signal from the console to your pc through a capture card. Feed that signal into a broadcast software like obs and add the overlay and alerts and themes into obs.
And stream from. Obs to twitch.
Only then you can have a console stream with overlays and alerts

Sadly that's how streaming works. I think it would be rather easy for Microsoft to add this browser overlay stuff to there consoles. But they just don't do it. Too busy with mixer or something like it

The video needs to be playing somewhere in order to hear the music - what happens with the widget when the video is hidden is, the CSS margin is jsut squeezed

Our Dashboard -> My overlays -> big pencil on the overlay with the alert widget -> click on the alert widget -> click on teh cogwheel of the alert you want TTS -> TTS options on the left menu ln the bottom
Make sure you check out variations as well.
