hey everyone - i'm having an issue on my stream where the streamelements overlay is a super low framerate (like 3-10FPS). it's most noticeable during alerts. Tested in the overlay editor and it's a crisp 60FPS, so it's something with my setup.
I'm streaming via OBS from a MacBook Pro (could be the problem), 16GB RAM, 2.7GHz i7, 4GB Radeon Pro 560. There's no "hardware" option when choosing an output encoder, only software x264.
I can grab a clip to show what's happening if it's helpful, but basically only the StreamElements overlay is low FPS. my webcam and game feeds are fine.

Stream perks made in the Stream store can play a gif and sound together, not a video. You set a single duration for the widget, and gifs shorter than the duration will loop.

From what I also see, is your CPU is from 2015 and is a laptop CPU including the GPU.
So in short, your laptop is fairly old and maybe using animated overlays is a bad idea, including a game that has just released.

A Radeon Pro 460 on a mac sounds like an eGPU to me. If that's the case then there's your problem. eGPUs tend to make problems across the board.

My OBS fps drops from 60 to a random 20-45 ish when streaming Apex Legends with animated overlay on. Without it on its stable 60fps. With max graphics and low graphics it's the same

Animated overlays are heavy, so to keep high framerate while using everything fancy the best idea is to use streaming PC as a separate machine or use static overlay for ingame purposes.

I am only telling you what we notice from reports. Download the SL irl stream app and try to add SE overlays. Im not saying it is intentional, it just doesn't work. And everywhere else the SE overlays work. May a coincidence.

StreamLabs OBS is not Up-to-date with OBS Studio's versions . If they are not blocking it (wich I still disbelieve) then they use a broken or not fully developed browser source engine.

I hope you understand this and the only thing I can tell you is: Use a diffent Stream Software like OBS.Studio OR even OBS.Live (wich is just normal OBS Studio but with Chat / FFZ&BTTV Emotes/Viewcounter/Activityfeed in one) and see if it still not working.

@jagged pond im not really a laptop person, but the main thing to look for is your CPU and GUP. your CPU should be at least 1 year old, maybe 2 years if its a bit pricey. as for a GPU, nothing really under GeForce GTX 1050. if theres someone else more knowledgeable in here that could help you out you can ask in #general-chat

Hi I've been using stream elements for a while and rarely run into problems. For over a week my cheer alerts and follow alerts will not work, Ive tried to reactivate them in the activity feed and nothing. Then I tried to make alert boxes and test the cheer alerts in the overlay and the test wont even pop up. In addition my total subscriber count is 0 at all times and my chat box overlay is blank. it's more than likely the numbers you entered, might the wrong sequence ie right numbers but wrong placement. All the numbers are at the bottom of your check, but sometimes which is which is confusing. I had to do a google search to figure out which was the routing, which was the account etc. and the search pulled up two different results. LUL
Branch can be a little confusing sometimes as well. My account always says one city, but my branch is in a different state and town. I was concerned about that when entering the info as well, but never got an error. Did take a few days for it to get implemented as well.

Ok I have a question. So my loyalty settings are set that my viewers earn 100 points per 10 minutes watching but when I started stream today I had an absurd amount of points that I shouldnt have. Does streamelements have offline viewing where you gain points for leaving a stream open even when the broadcaster isnt online? if not how do i have these points? Checked chat logs of myself and streamelements i should have 3500 or so and i have 6100

You most likely gave your self a lot of points with !addpoints command
also you might have a high subscriber multiplier and might have removed your self from the ignore list.

Well, no idea why you have more points or think that you have more points as the loyalty points doesn't give points when offline.

@bright star I'm sorry if I sounded rude, but, unless someone used the !givepoints command to give you points from their points pool or you used !addpoints all to give the entire chat points, then there is no other way to gain points, as the loyalty points does not give passively points when you are not streaming.

The key is necessary to be entered, to let the widget get access to your chat, to read the emotes.
So you have to set generate key one time to YES and write the key down. After that set it back to NO and enter the key in the field below.

Kiwa-DE that panel does not have the function im looking for, ther used to be a feed panel twitch exension, that dident need to connect to anything no social medias, u could as the broadcaster click on the panel and type a text and remove it again.

and now I added that overlay for IRL on my obs to test it
I did a new source with a new scene to test it

then you should dublicate the aletbox you use in other overlays into that one and delete the default one
and if you heard it double in your obs that means that one browsersource of your default overlays isnt set to "shutdown if not visible"

Yeah, sadly events which were missed will remain missing, but if reconnecting your webhooks fixed the problem then new events should now show up
