hello. i'm not sure if i should post in this channel or the OBS Live one (i'm not using any plugins). i saw a reddit post of streamelements overlay causing frame drops or overall a lot of CPU usage. someone suggested to come in here for help, that there was a setting in OBS where if the screen isn't showing, it's not using that resource. does anyone know where that setting is?

But unless you're using kappagen or hypecup or other physics-based things, CPU usage is fairly minimal.

Only issue with that setting is that it means your overlay needs to reload every time you switch back to your scene. So it may take a second and pop in.

Hmmm, not really, as SLOBS is way more complex solution than pure OBS with this plugin.

Let me put it in nice words - SLOBS will stream, give you control center, make you a coffee, get kids to school and walk your dog, which can be CPU consuming.

There's a lot of features built-in, but most of them are not even close to "essential"

You will see that a lot of things are missing, but you will have better performance.

(This is based on my experiences so far, so the best is to check it by yourself)

@glad ruin If your tipping settings page is white, that would mean a specific cookie is being blocked on the page. Make sure that streamelements-yoink.netlify.com is allowed and not being blocked. In Google Chrome you can check by clicking Secure on the address bar, and going into cookies. You can also access these settings from chrome://settings/content/cookies

what are you referring to? Most data is tracked from the time you sign up with SE, not everything will be pulled from Twitch. Certain things are, like sub and follower totals, but other data can only be collected from the time you sign up with SE

Where exactly are you expecting to see this data? When you end a stream, it will reset the session, and recalculate the aggregates, but all of this data is tracked from the time you signed up with SE. The data that would be pulled from Twitch would be follower and sub totals

No, the mobile app is a streaming app for IRL streaming from your phone. Then for PC we have Ground Control which will have your activity feed, and has bot rename options and some other stuff. Then we have OBS.Live which is a plugin for OBS Studio that adds chat, activity feed, bot rename, and other options to OBS

Everything is all managed from the site itself

Hello! I have literally tried everything and need help - I am using an already-created overlay from you guys in my OBS Studio. I have an iMac (in case this matters). I have done the classic copy/paste of my overlay/alerts URL into OBS as a browser source, and the overlay itself works perfectly fine, and even the alert tests are working, but my actual alerts aren't working when I'm live. I have my mod currently testing it just fine while I'm live, but when someone tries hosting me for example, nothing shows up. PLEASE HELP, so frustrating! lol

When you first sign up with us, we don't have any data about your account. You can import tip data from Streamlabs, but we can't get imported data about followers or subs or bits.

Those repopulate over time and we start showing you the newest data.

The main dashboard will show that data as tips from previous months, because it was imported.

Like its said so far - follower/sub/bits data can't be imported from SL.

After a couple of streams the aggregates fully synced up with the imported tip data and it will take a couple of more days/week(s) to sync your follower/sub data.

Have you set chat lines as a req? The bot looks at the last 5 minutes of activity and if the required chat lines aren't met it won't put out the message @floral wedge

When you import, it makes an overlay with the alert widget. You can open that overlay, select the widget, and use the duplicate widget button to duplicate it to other overlays

you can stream from your pc with the overlay, but there will be no content. i dont think there are any overlays for consoles directly

Hey dudes, how do I let my viewers spam stuff with "Cheers"? When they send a bunch of "@@@@@@@@@@@@@@" the bot only reads the first "@" , is there anyway to make the bot read everything? I have been looking at my Payal account to see if the donations that come through StreamElements would go directly into my account. None of the donations that I received from the start have gone through. I looked at the Paypal statement and it shows that everything that comes from StreamElements, is not there. Can you guys please have a look into this.

You should check your streamlabs info then if it's all correct.

Because we won't get the notification if they're using StreamLabs tip page for giving you money.

it shows that the money came through to StreamElements based on the page but the money doesn't show in Paypal

I just talked to PayPal Support and they said that they can't see any transactions or history of StreamElement on my account

I verified the email address as well, and checked again to make sure its the right one
