Hi all, yes its a noob alert.....Im just starting out and been watching vids and reading tuts. I've got obs and stream elements working but my question is....On the theme i have, along the bottom, it shows discord, twitter, youtube etc. How do I enter my link into these so when someone selects one of those options it goes to my relevent page. Ive gone into the theme editor where I could delete those tabs in the live feed but Im just wondering how they work or are they just cosmetic and I have to setup a panel on the main twitch page.. Eg like setting up tipping you post in a link so that the action tips to your wallet. Hope this makes sense.

There is not, the idea with the widet is to show the video, so there is currently no option to have it hide the video. The idea with the hide video button is incase something comes through that needs to quickly be hidden, like a video that is against ToS

Hey guys, I'm still having problems with OBS scenes and my bit cup. My bit cup and game overlay are on one overlay in stream elements and my website browsing is on a different stream elements overlay. I don't think I can have the same overlay for both scenes because my sub goal / tip goal / bit cup need to be in different locations and can't be shown on my website scene. When I change scenes - the bit cup goes haywire and refills / isn't empty / the same / etc - I'm not sure what solution to use. Let me attach some pictures so I can explain more:

and have the cup in its own overlay.

So add the cup overlay in 1 scene, and the just copy the source to the other scene and don't have the "shutdown when inactive" option on it.

For everything else (especially alert widget overlay) you will need the "shutdown when inactive" option.

This way the cup will not refill everytime you switch scenes.

Make a blank overlay, go to the overlay that holds the cup. Click on the cup, then click on the 2 white papers with red dot, located on the left bottom side next to "layers". Copy cup to blank overlay. Add cup overlay to OBS, copy browser source from one scene to the other.

Depends on what you want to edit, but mostly editing of an overlay is done and recommended via the overlay editor.

Is there any way for a streamer to be able to change the preview picture when sharing our profile pages? It is the StreamElements advertisement preview so it looks out of place and discourages clicks. Is this possible to change?

Aah, because that is how website embedded previews work. The preview looks up the main domain name and takes its main logo and name as a preview. If you are advertising your profile on twitter there is a work around for it, afaik, by first copy/pasting your desired advertising/preview picture then placing the link. @glass sluice

@prisma grove So most people have the alert widget and goals for example in one overlay, add it to OBS, have the "Shutdown when not visible" option on, then have another overlay with different positions for same widgets and add that to the other scene for example and also have that option on. The given option stops alert boxes from triggering and producing multiple sounds, when not in their corresponding scene.

So one way to not have like 121892734 overlays with different positions is, to have the alert widget on its own overlay, goals on their own overlay, etc, etc, and just add them with the "shutdown when not visible" option on, so that they don't take additional CPU/RAM/Bandwidth

You want to display a counter and a name in the timers? Depends on what name you want to set, it most of the time it should be static or you can use ${random.chatter} to pick a random person from your viwer list

As for the counter, not sure if it works but you can use ${getcount <count-name>} to get a specific counter name(number) in the timer and when ever you do something use the command !editcounter <count-name> <new-number> or setup a custom command that increments the counter like so:
Command name: !killed
command response: ${count <count-name>}

also you can disable it triggering for follows etc and start a manual kappagen with the command !kappagen

when you want to manually trigger kappagen, you can decide what emotes are going to be used and how many of them, by entering !kappagen EmoteName Number, so for example !kappagen PogChamp 2000

Check settings, make sure you have everything set up properly. OBS.Live is OBS Studio with out plugin that does NOT affect the sound at all. So you are looking at wrong settings (which i do not know) or other issues.

And it would be easier to contact Elgato or OBS Project since they are closer to the solution anyway.

6. Go to your overlays and edit the overlay you use.

I hate to intrude here, but it appears that th alert-box might've shat itself for a stream that I assist as "full editor". Follow notices still go through, along with custom GIF and SoundEffect. So does the Raid-Alert. But Twtich Bit donations, with a fixed donation popup and sound-effect seem to refuse to launch. Even, in the "simulator mode"

I've copied the overlay to my own end, and that seems to work like a charm. Zero issues.

I'd suggest to take a screenshot of the game, use the "Insert image" widget to place the game image there and then you have hide it in the layers tab on the left.
