That's an OBS issue, not a StreamElements issue. It may have to do with the type of source you're using. If you've tried different types of sources (Game Capture, Window Capture, etc.), you can ask in OBS support.

so i had set up animated alerts a while back when i streamed regularly. stopped streaming for a few months. first day back and the alerts arent working. i havent changed anything and they were working wheni set it up. dont know why.
side note. when i test the alerts from stream elements site it shows when testing. but doesnt activate on stream or when i test widget from streamlabs obs any ideas?

Our services have nothing to do with SLOBS, so testing through SLOBS will not trigger our alerts. If you have been gone for a few months, your Twitch token is probably no longer valid. to get a new one, log out of the SE site, and then log back in, that should request a new token from Twitch

@golden ether The auto blocking of 0 viewer autohosts is a system wide thing and cannot be turned off. Manual hosts of 0 viewers will still go through, assuming your alerts are likewise set to minimum 0.
@odd forge We do not compile an ongoing list of new visitors, so no, nothing in StreamElements will allow you to shout out your shy lurkers all at once.
Nor do we track point gain per session.
It just hands out points every 10 minutes and that's it.

As for unlinking an account, there is a location in your youtube account settings where you can remove the link between the YT account and us. Although that might not help you much, as deleting an account, means we need to delete your entire SE account.

Its not that its complicated the above, but one of the steps is wrong. When you make the 2nd account(you can also use it later for the custom bot name), give your original/main account, full access towards the 2nd account, then use this button:
How the button works is - access the 2nd account from your original and then use the button to copy over the overlays.

Trust me, we've asked as to why we need to fully delete an account to until yt + twitch connection.
So, since its 2:40AM for you, what I'd suggest is, go get some sleep and then we can talk on a fresh mind. 😃
At this point you are repeating the same thing over and over, expecting it to be fixed in the next 5 seconds, while the process is dependent on your side and our side after you've completed the above steps to save your overlays.

Hi, I'm having some trouble with the SE Alert box not showing when an item from the loyalty store is redeemed in chat.
The redeem sound will play fine, but the alert won't show. When running the test, however, it works fine. How can I fix it so it shows who redeemed the item and what item they redeemed from my loyalty store?

The alert box doesn't handle redemptions, you need to add the redemption store widget to the overlay and if you have a picture on the store item and you want to show it, change it from sound fx type item to "Stream Perk" item.
and make it show as an alert, via its settings.

@tranquil violet I had that issue before, make sure it's set to correct resolution, if your overlay was made for 1080p but overlays in obs is 300 x 800 or some other random numbers it will not show up, click properties & set to resolution overlays to what they were made for

My viewers are not able to add a quote. I have reviewed the settings multiple times and cannot find anything that should cause that problem. Adding to the frustration ,once upon a when, one of my viewers was successful adding a quote. My mod was able to add quotes, but he is no longer a mod. It was not working for anyone else while he was a mod and now that he is not a mod it is still not working. We have been noticing the issue for several weeks trying to figure it out on my own.

yeah thats the normal "quote" command which looks fine
please check if you have made a different command that uses the "!quote" wording
or if a command you set up uses a different Alias/keyword that uses "quote"
Because if you do the Commands cancel each other out and nothing appears

If you add the overlay, do the test via SE overlay edit and it shows in SLOBS view window you should be good. You could also do a recording then launch the test then view your recording and if shown in recording will show on stream

@shell pumice 10 minutes of watchtime are given to those in chat when the loyalty points are handed out (every 10 minutes). Therefore, loyalty must be enabled for watchtime to work properly. There is no direct link between watchtime and all-time points. It can’t be calculated from the amount of all-time points a user has because subs may earn points at a faster rate and !bonus all command increases all-time points for users in chat at that time. Giving points to a single user does NOT affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.

The best way is a capture card. This can be expensive though. Next, I think there is a way to get your XBox video/audio onto your computer through some magic that microsoft provides. Do that, and capture it with OBS. Last (ONLY IF YOU ARE NOT TWITCH AFFILIATE), stream to mixer, capture the stream in OBS, stream to twitch @edgy flax

Once you have edited, or had your graphics edited by VBI designers for free, you will add them to your broadcasting software (OBS, XSplit, SLOBS) as an image/media source and can adjust the positioning/size inside the software. The alerts graphics will be added through your alert settings (SLOBS of Streamlabs.com) and then added to streaming software as a browser source. Offline screens, avatar, profile banners, and panels, will be added to your channel's home page (or in settings of home page). If you need any support with this, please refer to our YouTube series, or join our Discord for help from the community management team.
Setting up your alerts in Streamlabs or using the 1 click install? You may need to modify the Streamlabs CSS code to position the alert text just right. Sounds daunting, right? We'll make this a breeze.
In Streamlabs, navigate to the following:
-> Alert Box
-> Scroll down until you see a section that displays code, and has the following tabs: HTML, CSS, JS and Custom Fields.
-> Click on "CSS".
-> You will want to locate the following text:

@winged sundial it sounds to me that you have two alertboxes from your explanation to your issue. I advise you to only use one alert box and work with "variations" for cheers so you only have one alertbox and it can't get triggered multible times.

When you add a variation for cheers for "exact 1000 cheers" this variation gets only played if the ammount is 1000 cheers.
If it is 999cheers the first base alert you set up gets played instead.

SO the on in the corner that is smaller and then one that as across the entire screen .If she resizes the one box and use just one box it would resize the alert to the corner of the screen as well . THat being said the 1 bit works but if you trigger the 100 and up it triggers the one as well

Steps to enable custom name
- Sign in to https://twitch.tv with the bot account
- Install and run Ground Control (!gc for download)
- Visit https://twitchapps.com/tmi/ and generate an oAUTH token
- Copy/paste everything in the box to Ground Control oAuth settings and enter the name for the bot account
- Restart Ground Control (custom name may take a few minutes to take effect)
Mac does not currently support renaming the bot.

What's the best way to use multiple StreamElements overlays, all with alerts and chat, and not have to refresh them whenever I swap to that scene on OBS so that Alerts don't queue up and replay but my chat history sticks around? So far I've tried making a Scene with all Alerts as a seperate overlay, and Adding that Scene into OBS on each other scene, but that doesn't seem to work. They will all play at the same time if left Visible.

Ok I figured out my issue. Just because an Alert Box is not visible does not mean it stops making sound. You need to uncheck things.
That's why I was getting double alert sounds.
Now it only plays once

Hi everyone, I imported my tips from Streamlabs and am trying to load my Top Donator, and although a Top Tipper shows in Revenue History, it is not carrying over into the Overlays. Is there a way I can quickly reload this data into the overlays?

well this is a longshot, but i will ask... i recently did a pretty big overhaul to my stream and decided to use SE as my overlay platform. i use SLOBS for broadcasting and have everything from SE pointed there. the issue im having is that the overlay shows up later than the transition period. in other words my game and camera are there for about 3 sec before the overlay comes in to make everything clean again. any thoughts on what i can do to fix this delay issue?

Usually our overlays load slower or faster, depending on your internet connection/speed.
What we advise is, to use is Studio Mode of OBS.

I currently have a alert box which doesn't show every host even though the minimum amount is set to 0 which says "Amount of 0 will show all alerts". Any ideas?

- All auto host events with at least 1 viewer
Is there any way to change it? A friend mentioned it might be possible using Custom CSS but never mentioned how to do it. Cause the person I mod for said they want EVERY alert to come through, even if it's a 0 viewer manual or auto host.

Ok, let me explain in more detail. To enable !8ball or !duel commands, you can't just toggle them on or off in the chat commands lists. The on/off option is controlled by the modules.
