Hi, for almost a year I haven't been able to enable follow notifications, I used to have another bot for that cause never worked. All the other notifications (subs, hosts, donations, etc) work fine, but when I enable follows it won't stay enabled, it goes back to disabled. Help pls?

• Create a twitch account for the name you want to use

Steps to enable custom name

1. Sign in to https://twitch.tv with the bot account
2. Install and run Ground Control (!gc for download)
3. Visit https://twitchapps.com/tmi/ and generate an oAUTH token
4. Copy/paste everything in the box to Ground Control oAuth settings and enter the name for the bot account
5. Restart Ground Control (custom name may take a few minutes to take effect)

Mac does not currently support renaming the bot.

If 2 people use the command at the same time, the bot can't process 2 requests from the same command, as there is an internal cooldown. I think. I've noticed it my self.

Yes, i know of the neccessary cooldown, i've made my own bot and i've had to implement that too.

However, occassionally i've had problems with specifically the !songqeueu command.

I keep the songrequest dashboard open on my display capture and frequently tab out, but still.

if you want only one redeem every 15 minutes, then make sure you put that into the global cooldown part (example: streamer does 1000 pushups)

if you only want one user to be able to redeem something every 15 minutes, you put it into the user cooldown part (example: play with streamer)

Now, if someone spams the same command, even without the benefit of getting anything out of it, that is something you and your moderators have to manage. A timeout can go a long way to discouraging antics you don't like

Just a quick technical question about the streamelements overlays. Is there any technical reason why when I open my overlay in a normal browser tab it doesn't function the same as a browser source in OBS? There is no audio output and also the notifications seem to come through very late

What browser are you looking in? It's optimized for use with Chromium. Looking at it in Chrome should be no different than looking at it in OBS.

2. the c920 isn’t capable of doing 60fps. The c922 could in 720p do 60fps, but its faked zoomed in frame dublicating artificiality 60FPS and looks ugly AF.

Does anyone know if there’s a way to have on an overlay both tips and bits in one tab? Like on the pre made overlay there’s a tab for top or recent tips but they’re only for actual tips. Is there a way to count bits as tips and have them appear under the same thing?

I have an idea that is submitted to the idea board, but wanted to ping here as well. Top Cheer/Donation alerts have a field for Minimum Amount. I'd like for that alert to honor that threshold and when not met, the alert falls back on a different variation already set. (i.e. Top Donation alert only triggers when $10 or more. If less, fall back to the other variation)

Doing this, you cant set the Pick a random alert when more than one apply. Any idea on if this is something that can make the priority list? As it is today, on the first cheer/donation of a session, if that item doesnt meet the threshold, I get no alert.

But usually when you pick a winner, the entire pot is distributed to the winners.

hi guys. i have a static browser sourcce for my overlay, but i've noticed that even though it's not animated, it still causes my obs to lag. if I use a browser source for only the alerts, would that do less of a load on OBS?

only reason I bring up the checkbox for randomly selecting is because, currently, thats the only way to have multiple variations be used to show for that event. I currently do not have that checked.

The music alertbox is my old way, as I test out the new one. Everything is turned off in the music one as well as that widget hidden.

• Create a twitch account for the name you want to use
• Ground Control app must be running

Steps to enable custom name

1. Sign in to https://twitch.tv with the bot account
2. Install and run Ground Control (!gc for download)
3. Visit https://twitchapps.com/tmi/ and generate an oAUTH token
4. Copy/paste everything in the box to Ground Control oAuth settings and enter the name for the bot account
5. Restart Ground Control (custom name may take a few minutes to take effect)

Mac does not currently support renaming the bot.

I've tried everything i can think of to make it work but i keep getting encoding overload. my friend and room mate that has a worse computer than me can stream it at 60fps no problem but when i try with the exact same settings it drops to like 10fps at times and never stays consistently at 60. my GPU and CPU usage go up to like 95% for some reason when streaming it.

2. You are trying to stream at 2560x1080 - at 4000 bitrate - thats low bitrate for high resolution

base can stay native to your resolution

but if you change to 1280x720 your stream will look squished due to your base being stretched

so I'd search for the equivilant stretched 720p resolution. I don't know it by hand unfortunately. Or make your base resolution 1920x1080, but output at 1280x720 and have your game look stretched with the added big black bar and place your camera there + some widgets and you should look like a good stream.

I have tried unistalling which is taking forever and reinstalling it to see if that fixes it
