Just in case anyone else runs across the problem I had with the tipping page, I thought I'd post the fix here. When clicking on the link to the tipping page in Firefox, all I would ever get was a blank white page. I thought it was probably something to do with cookies, but I couldn't figure out what to do about it. It turns out, if you have third party cookies set to "From Visited" or anything more strict, you have to whitelist the tipping page which is streamelements-yoink.netlify.com I had to whitelist http and https for it to work.

Now I don't have to open Chrome just to access the tipping page!

Well each browser acts differently really. I can tell you that some people can't even load the dashboard with Chrome - the fix to that is force allowing javascript for the website in Chrome settings and it fixes the issue.

But most common problem with tipping page and/or settings not loading is, the browser is blocking netlify cookies

Ok, so here are 2 things you can try - restart your PC
2) Reinstall OBS, then try to run OBS without installing the plugin.

Make sure to UNTICK the option to remove your OBS Profile

that way your scenes and sources will be saved

was the raid a 0 viewers raid? then check in your AlertBox, if the minimum for raid alerts is set to 3. 0 viewers raids will be ignored.

That normally happens when you have an incorrect oauth code for the bot name that you want.

The best thing to do is to log out of twitch in your browser, log into the bot name you want to use, then click the generate oauth link in ground control

Copy/pasta the code, then it should start working correctly

@peak prism open the overlay that you use in the editor, go to the widgets tab and add a widget that you like - recent subs, total subs or sub count for a period.

you do that from your main account, that is to add the bot to your chat, the oauth is the only thing you need from the bot account

@lament blade thats not a SE thing. You would need to cut the video to a perfect loop in some video software. And then add it to OBS.

Innitiately i used the oauth code for my actual twitch account on acccident, made a new bot account reapplied that correct oauth code into Ground Control and its not updating. So i just repeated the proccess a few times and checking if the account ( my bot one) actually accepted the oauth which it did.

So like i said before im not stuck with me as a bot in my own channel, not the account i made.

Put it into the thing on the SE site.
Part your bot and rejoin

@pine hemlock You mentioned uninstalling but i couldnt erase files due to them being open which was weird, i looked at task manager and there was a Bot.exe running, i googled that and people say its a virus and i ended the task , deleted the Ground Control files and that removed them

got two questions real quick here (for commands)

I uploaded a SFX and "connected" it to command. Now I want this SFX to trigger by keywords as well, but is it possible to start the SFX by doing "two" keywords chained together? Every time I use "word word" (with a space), it gives me the error "@user, invalid user input". When I use a single word it works fine.

Secondly: Can I change the response of the bot to something less "you redeeemed"-able? I'd like to have a redemption message that fits for the SFX instead of something like "you redeemed XYZ"

So the chat lines have to be done within the 5 minutes before the timer goes off, otherwise the timer resets without firing

I recommend setting chat lines to zero, then increasing from there as needed

hi all, couple of questions and maybe a little help if possible. I have a live overlay provided by SE and I love it.. (Green Goblin) but I added the Media Player widget to it.. and it works ... sometimes. other times i get multi sound streams going at one time when I use Ground control show on Stream ( i do have the media player in a few different sources but all are set to shutoff when not visible. ) I am not sure where the sound streams are coming from. has anyone else had this problem? is there a fix for it? also .. there are times when the media stream does not work at all.. I have to reset Ground control and refresh the cache of the source to get it to come through.... any help?

I highly recommend not using ground control for media share. It does not support the newest release of media share, and can cause bugs

Click on the widget and on the left side then click on the 2 white papers with red dot on them next to "layers". This copies over the widget you selected.

Thats what the browser source does - it essentially opens a browser page in your OBS Scene

OBS has built in plugin called Browser CLR, which essentially emulates browser

we call it browser source or just browser

its non clickable

so you get the overlay link and just add it

and make sure its on top of the game source

else the entire capture of game will "hide" the overlay
