• Create a twitch account for the name you want to use
• Ground Control app must be running

Steps to enable custom name

1. Sign in to https://twitch.tv with the bot account
2. Install and run Ground Control (!gc for download)
3. Visit https://twitchapps.com/tmi/ and generate an oAUTH token
4. Copy/paste everything in the box to Ground Control oAuth settings and enter the name for the bot account
5. Restart Ground Control (custom name may take a few minutes to take effect)

Mac does not currently support renaming the bot.

I have a superwide monitor 2560x1080 and my stream output is 720p - In OBS my base resolution is set to 2560x1080 so I was just curious whether I should set my base resolution to 1920x1080 or can I get my overlays to match my base resolution.

thats the issue, OBS needs some of the graphics card, with Vsync off it can't get any to do the rendering before it gets encoded

even my 1080ti isn't good enough to leave Vsync off while streaming, you could try a framerate cap through something like RivaTuner which is including with MSI Afterburner, it might help you out

could be the same issue, the graphics card has to render everything for OBS before it is sent to the CPU for encoding, so if the GPU is maxed out things like text scrolling/animations will have issues

@somber slate Media Request can have problems if used through Ground Control, of if its enabled in GC and a browser. If she only uses FF, then its best to use just Chrome to see if that works as expected

Hi! I am german, but I'll try to explain my issue. I have set up different scenes in OBS, like GAME, BRB, STREAMSTART etc. I am using themes in streamelements as browser source. I have set up an Alert Box in each theme. When using OBS in studio mode, alerts trigger twice in stream, because it also triggers the sound of the left side in studio mode, which should be inactive. Is there a way to avoid this?

SLOBS is a "fork" of OBS so it's there Version wich tends to need more maintainance and bug fixes. You also have to wait when obs pushes new features.

OBS.Live is not a fork it's a "extension" means we don't touch your obs settings or Codecs. When OBS pushes new updates we don't interfere with it. But you have activity feed, chat, viewcounter in one programm and can costomize it too. (It also comes with BTTV and FFZ pre-installed)
