Create a twitch account for the name you want to use
Ground Control app must be running

Steps to enable custom name

Sign in to https://twitch.tv with the bot account
Install and run Ground Control (!gc for download)
Visit https://twitchapps.com/tmi/ and generate an oAUTH token
Copy/paste everything in the box to Ground Control oAuth settings and enter the name for the bot account
Restart Ground Control (custom name may take a few minutes to take effect)

Mac does not currently support renaming the bot.

Yes. There are two variables you can use: $(count variableName) and $(getcount variableName). The first on will increment the variableName counter, and display that new number, the second one will just pull the current count for that variableName. You can also use !editcounter variableName +1/-1/1

#

I recommend making the $(count name) variable mod and above, with a 30-60 second cooldown to prevent multiple deaths counting when only one happened, and then the getCount one for regular viewers

Since this is a test variation I added, all my other alerts on the widget atm is the shark - just make sure you are testing with custom sub alert

Hey guys, whats up!? I have a problem using the Purple Delight Overlay.
Today was the 2nd time it happened, i streamed for about 5 hours and used mostly the 'in game' overlay, when i changed to 'talk' overlay it triggered all the events that happened in the stream for that 5 hours.... like a queue for the alerts... i then changed to the 'end stream' scene and it happend again, the alerts started to show 1 by 1 for the 1st one. The purple delight overlay have 5 overlays and I created 1 scene for each overlay, I simply don't know why this is happening and how to fix it. Anyone have any thoughts about it? Thanks! 😃

So basically the alerts queue up when the browser source and when you switch on them, for some reason they play one after another. The normal way it should behave is, you hear double audio, but it seems that your PC can't play all the active browser sources at the same time, so it essentially freezes them until you switch to them

Hi all, I could use some help on a couple of things:

My audio alerts seem to double trigger when live. When I test them they trigger once, and the visual part of the alert triggers once. Once I'm live, however, the audio part triggers twice, the second sound coming a second or two after the first. HAs anyone encountered this before? What have misconfigured?
I tried to run a ticket raffle the other night and the chat command to buy a ticket wouldn't work for anyone (even me), so people had to go via the store page to buy a ticket. Again what do I have misconfigured, what do I need to do for chat commands to buy tickets?

Hi- for some reason I cannot get my loyalty store, or currency, to work in the Twitch chat... I'm not sure it works at all, really... I have followed everything in the help videos, but it just wont work-

I have Nightbot aswell, for the music on the streams, is there a conflict between the two? That's about the only thing I can imagine would cause issues..

The sub total comes from twitch. You can go under totals and click reset session to have it refresed, this happens automatically after your stream ends.

if you are talking about the chat widget, you need to make sure the overlay was added at the correct resolution, otherwise you will not see it

and for this overlay did you make it at the full 1920x1080, and add it to OBS as the same? Because adding the overlay at the wrong resolution is the cause for 99% of the cases where people report chat not showing in OBS

do you have chat lines set? The way it works is once the time is met, it will check the chat to see if the chat lines have been met in the past 5 min. If not, the timer resets

Overlay alert
Chat alert.

For Overlay alert, you can add use one of our pre-made overlay themes and you don't have to change anything(except position of camera box for example) or make your own overlay

One way is, copy and paste the same webcam source from 1 scene to the other.

Just note that you can edit the size of the red box of the source, but any actual webcam settings you change, affects the entire source

There is a slight chance the person used your old tip link OR the email about the tip from PayPal is to let you know that you need to accept the tip from the person first, as I'm not sure what kind of email you received from them.

Active overlay with alerts
StreamElements tipping page in the panels below the stream (!panels)
Create a twitch account for the name you want to use
Ground Control app must be running

Steps to enable custom name

Sign in to https://twitch.tv with the bot account
Install and run Ground Control (!gc for download)
Visit https://twitchapps.com/tmi/ and generate an oAUTH token
Copy/paste everything in the box to Ground Control oAuth settings and enter the name for the bot account
Restart Ground Control (custom name may take a few minutes to take effect)

Mac does not currently support renaming the bot.

It might just be named Browser, or you may not have installed it when installing obs. Or the linux version doesnt support browser sources.

thats not really a loop then. OBS media source has an option to loop, but that will just loop the video. What you are asking about would be more of a timer, which as far as I am aware, OBS does not have anything like that

SE or OBS it would be the same if you set it to loop, it will just loop and replay the video. So lets say you have a 6 sec video, but you want that 6 sec shown every 60 sec, you would need to have a video that is 66 sec, with the remaining 60 sec being nothing. the video would also need to be in a format that supports RGBA so you can use an alpha for the dead space between when you want it to play

Hey, I'm a mod for a fairly small streamer on twitch and she asked me for help rejigging the overlays in order to add alerts for the loyalty bonuses we've been adding. She's given me editor permissions on her dashboard but the issue is that I, firstly, cannot see any of the overlays that she's worked on in the "My Overlays" tab but I also cannot seem to add any of my own overlays, either blank or themed, to the menu in order to bring up some form of the editor. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

There is some custom stuff for the different events, but not the cup itself. If you go into change cup, check out the shark, it has some good examples of custom stuff for the different events like follows and subs, etc

@hot urchin Depending on the widget, you would see "Custom CSS" option on them. For variables you can see them in the pinned messages in #dev-chat
