For the random number part that is possible, there are variables for that, but for the giving points that would only be possible with API, as there is no variable to give points to a user

looks like you would need to make the widget size larger than the canvas for that to work, maybe enabling custom CSS on the alert widget there could be another way to do it 
You could also try importing the SL alert box into SE and see how that works

thats a lower end processor and not really made for a single PC streaming setup, you can try nvenc encoding, but 3GB of ram on the 1060 is not really a lot for gaming and streaming
I would also advise not trying to stream over 720p 30fps, outside of that not really much you can do

The issue I'm seeing is, I don't see what points are distributed in your profile page, so I'm not sure on that part and can't test how many points a host gives you.
But from what I know, when someone hosts you, they get points based on how many viewers they host you with.

@stuck pawn Twitch Emotes 101: The only emotes people can "buy" are when they subscribe to you and then use the emotes you've uploaded as long as you are affiliated/partner. Other emotes they can use are and as long as you enable them - BTTV and/or FFZ. 3rd emotes are other channels.
I'm not sure what emotes you are selling via your stream store page, but if you are "selling" them like that and want your chat to use them via that store page - thats not how it works.

Figured it out.
You had the command set on online only, AND it cost 100 points in the commands section. This makes it cost extra as it stacks with the point cost in the SR settings. I corrected it all, it should be good to go

- Create a twitch account for the name you want to use
- Ground Control app must be running
Steps to enable custom name
- Sign in to https://twitch.tv with the bot account
- Install and run Ground Control (!gc for download)
- Visit https://twitchapps.com/tmi/ and generate an oAUTH token
- Copy/paste everything in the box to Ground Control oAuth settings and enter the name for the bot account
- Restart Ground Control (custom name may take a few minutes to take effect)
Mac does not currently support renaming the bot.

Hello. Is there any way to transfer currency/hours to a new username? For example somebody changes their username on twitch and the points reset on streamelements for him and I want to give him his points back he had on the old username.

If htey had signed into StreamElements before, they should be able to go to our site, get to their dashbaord, log out, clear cache, then log in, and it should (or so I am told) transfer the points.
IF that doesn't work, I would verify their new username (there are pleanty of tools for that, just google "twitch username change log"), take away the points on their old name (!bonus username -100000 or however many they have), then give them the points onto the new name (!bonus newusername 100000)

So, you are trying to change an alert, but you dont hear audio in the browser, and its not setting the audio to what you expect?
If you dont hear any sound from the browser either the site/browser is muted, you muted the overlay editor, or something else like routing the audio else where

Do you have more than one scene with an overlay? if you have a source that is not marked to be shutdown when not visible, and you could have a different scene's source playing the alert. As for setting the sound, what browser are you using? and have you made sure to check all the variations for the alert you are editing, as some alerts, like subs and cheers, have multiple variations that would need to be changed individually

Every time I sign in the new app Early Access for streamelements when it actually downloaded app called fire stream but when that app it shows me that right after I sign in up twitch on that app

@wispy quest you can try a re-install of obs. Just make sure to leave "user settings" unchecked when uninstalling to save your settings/scenes

hey, so I have the same problem someone else did, since updating the SE addon for OBS i now have no overlay. I have tried refreshing the cache (I dont have the hardware acceleration option tho) I checked. any other ideas? I had zero problems before the update

I checked the url and its correct too. also ground control is a white page too (settings show fine but the activity bit is blank)
ok so, OBS - I get activity pane on the left, it works, i get my OBS stuff in the middle, i get the chat on the right ...all gravy,
But, my SE overlay source does not load on the stream, If I interact with it i dont see it either, if i go to the website and check the editor it works fine in the editor
to add to that, when i open ground control,its just a white page, if i click settings, that shows me settings fine

Ok, if you have opened it, look and see if something tells along the lines of "Could not open URL because of 'some flag' from URL 29834sd709848s" as an example.
Other way to find why the overlay is just blank/whitespace in the browser it self, open up the dev console and then open the overlay in said tab. Usually the error should show in the console log

I had a problem with my overlay not loading in OBS - with thanks to KeiZar we worked out it was a url issue, I duplicated my overlay in SE overlay section on the browser and the duplicated overlay worked. Others also noted this fix - hope this helps the next person 😃

hey guys i'm trying to start streaming on my phone as well for IRL stuff but i was wondering is there eny way i could use stream elements allert etc. with my phone? or do you have a suggestion on how to stream to my pc that then streams the vid to twitch?

@floral badger We do have an android app in the works, but its currently in beta and to get access to it, you may need to get a beta code from our Gamescom booth.
As for the alerts, you can add the overlay if the app allows it, but the SL app blocks our overlays unfortunately.
For the restream to PC, I'm not sure how that works, but I think you need to stream to a specific location and have the PC capture that location. How to set it up, I'm not sure.
