@strong silo All that formating is done using CSS. CSS isn't too hard to learn, it is litterally just putting certain information about how you want it to look into a list format. But that is the only way to change how those widgets look

as mentioned yesterday, echoes are caused by having either more than one active source, duplicate widgets, having the overlay open in the browser also, or with media request having the site open and song request in ground control. At this point, I would suggest that you disable your browser source in each scene, using the eye next to the source in OBS, and doing this until you find where the echo is coming from

1- trying to import my latest follower/sub into the overlay from SLOBS but it looks like it requires a chrome ext and i'm on firefox.

2: If you are triggering alerts from SLOBS itself I would not expect this to work with our services, you should use the emulate button in the overlay editor to test alerts with SE overlays

@ancient otter Short answer is no, there is no way to link anything related to SE to SL. You could however have your donations setup for SE and create an overlay that just has an alert widget for your donations, but at that point I would just suggest to use the SE alerts for everything. If you have an alert box from SL you can import that into SE using the extension for importing

yeah, what exactly was the issue you were having? If you just lost a ton of frames for a short period of time, then that would explain it, if you have having another FPS issue, like lower FPS in game or something, that would be unrelated to the dropped frames

I have an overlay with a .webm video that plays and then text that is delayed to make it look seamlessly integrated into the motion graphic. In the editor it is smooth and looks great when I run test alerts but when I launch it and there is an actual alert triggered from twitch the timing seems to get screwed up. It loads the text either too early or too late and the entire animation looks off. Anyone have any idea what is causing this? Is there anything I can do to optimize it?

@pastel hatch Check your variations for the alert you're editing. some have variations that use sounds as well

@pastel hatch Open the overlay in the editor, go to the alertbox widget, edit each of the alerts that make the noise you wish to not have. set the volume to 0% or "Clear Sound" -> Scroll down to "Variation settings" and remove or change the volume on those variations as well.

I dont follow, if they changed their twitch name, they just login to SE the same, not trying to add that channel from the settings page. If they have not, have them just log out of the SE site and log back in, the new twitch name will be picked up

For the standard event list it will depend on what you have set as the theme, then its a matter of using background color
if you are using a custom event list, this is all driven by the code, for color that would all be done in CSS

Each overlay is intended for a different scene in OBS so to "change" overlays just click om a different scene that has the other overlay. You can add and hide the 2nd overlay if you dont want to switch scenes but managing that may get confusing @barren mirage

Alert audio TTS does not play on stream. I have alerts setup properly, and the audio sound for the alert itself plays on stream, but the TTS does not, although I can personally hear the TTS audio on my comp running the OBS. Is there a setting that is muting only the TTS from broadcasting through to the stream audio?

That's what I was thinking, but I just checked. It's not in the local recording. I can hear the alert sound, but then there's no TTS sound after that. I go back into obs SE and repeat the alert, and I see the alert, hear the alert sound. and the TTS. I look at the audio mixer levels in obs, and there is no audio level indicating any sound during the TTS
The reason I came across this, is a viewer donated, and asked me in chat if I got the donation. I was like yea? Didn't you hear the alert, and me physically thanking you over mic? Well turns out I was muted, but I went back and checked the local recording, and sure enough, it's just the alert sound, no TTS

I have two twitch channels. A new and old one. When I setup Kappagen on the new account it is using BTTV emotes from the old account. I have deleted these emotes from bttv and removed them from the overlay on the old account. I sign in with the new account and for some reason the old accounts bttv emotes still show up.

On the side of this question I am thinking that maybe something is up with your router or ISP or entire connection to the closest twitch server? I'd suggest turning that router off for 5 minutes and then turning it on, just so it clears its cache.

I have a problem with OBS live, if I have the idea to click on a link from the chat it's opening in the twitch chat window and the only solution I found to go back is to relaunch OBS :/ Any solution or ETA for a patch ?

So you dont have to end the stream or restart obs

The follow disconnect is an issue with webhooks that we are investigating, you are not the only one with this issue, and it only happens with followers nothing else would be effected. We've had a few other people have this issue but a large majority doesn't so we are trying to pinpoint exactly what is causing this webhook disconnect

I am pretty sure that the minimum tip has to be at least $1, just with how the tipping system works, but im pretty sure tip requests would all be moved up in priority the same, regardless of the amount, it would just be a matter of who tipped first at that point

@glacial nebula Dual should just come down to a 50/50 chance of wining or losing, with no way to vary the winners if there are multiple duals between the same people. Sounds like the one person was extremely unlucky

Well, I cant really help with SLOBS, but if hit the start button, and type dxdiag, and run this, the System tab will show your CPU (Processor) and the Display tab will list the display device (GPU). If I had to take a blind guess, your machine is being overloaded with everything it is trying to do to stream

laptops, for one, are not ideal to stream from. They have lower spec hardware on average than a PC for the same price

streaming takes a lot of resources, and adding things like an overlay will add to the resources used. Without giving me any details I cant really help. You could try OBS Studio, as they just updated their browser source to use less resources, and it might help, but if your PC is not equipped for streaming, not too much that can be done

you would need a decent laptop, probably at minimum $800-1000 before you would get a decent quality stream from it.
Second, I would highly recommend using OBS Studio, as we know how that one works with our system, and we know how to mess with the settings to make OBS work best for you. Its tough because SLOBS cut out certain parts of OBS when they forked it, and we don't keep up on their product

OK. For the mean time, I recommend making sure you are on x264 encoding, with the fastest cpu preset. This should help decrease the lag you experience
Some laptops (I think most) don't have a dedicated graphics card, so that could also be a problem
