Hello. I was wondering for a certain feature from the bot. I've seen different streamers have this but I couldn't figure it out. Basically it was like a reaction response to counting up a topic. Something like Streamer has found item, Number of item count. General idea of what that is but not exactly that phrase but something like that I've seen this bot have and wondering how can I use that?

then you bot response you make should be something like "The counter is now $[count counter]"

what will happen is the respone will be
"the counter is 1" for the first time, "the counter is 2" for the second time and so on

basically it will go up by one each time the command is used

You would make a command that would be triggerer by the keyword cheese and would give the response $(count cheese) later when you would want to see the number you would have to make the command with response $(getcount cheese)

You can also set the value of the counter manualy with !editcounter (name) (number)

Okay so I think your SLOBBY OVERLAY is fine now for it. Looked like an issue with the layers; the alertbox you used for text was under the alertbox you used for the graphic.

Be sure to organize your layers in the bottom left.

It's up to you and your mods to determine what's appropriate, but you can use the media share for that. It does have a moderation tool for it, to make that easier.

Ok, so in general it is not prohibited to watch videos from youtube while streaming? You know, sometimes I just want to sit down, watch some videos and talk about that with my community. I understand that video should not be under some DMCA, should not have any sexual content etc but this kind of content should by also covered by youtube I think..

@round otter Sodapoppin does this every 1st sunday of a month, so its safe, as long as the videos are not Gachi related more or less

as far as I've seen - he doesn't show the video of those

and hides the video, but leaves the audio playing.

Its best to read the Twitch IRL community guideline and ToS to see what is OK and what is NOT ok so show

but in general playing videos on stream is fine and as long as they don't take up the entire screen and your face is shown

The Search function will most likely be added to the newer versions, is just there is no ETA.

Hey all, I'm having an issue where only broadcaster and subscribers can add quotes despite having it set to anyone in the StreamElements settings. I have parted and rejoined the bot and this issue still persists. Any ideas?

@idle vector The quotes command has built in logic to stop normals from adding quotes to the system (to prevent trolling, etc)

Two options here:

1. Have your mods add the quotes that are appropriate
2. Create a store item to "Add a Quote". Review the quotes, and add them at the end of the day. Or give a mod dashboard access, and they can add them

Hey - I'm a user that tried using SE a while back, and want to resume testing it out to see if it fits my needs, however most of the data (like cheering info) if very very out of date, and giving it a bit (days) doesn't seem to make it update. Is there a way a staff member can manually update my info for me?

@lament blade The information may have gotten out of date if your access token with twitch expired. By logging in again, it should start to re-populate the information as new events come in. Unfortunatly, we can't go back and re-grab old data, except for import tip information from another service

Most likely things are 1 & 2

for starters, if you changed the tipping settings' currency, that does not affect your own paypal account's default currency.

If you see it, you can try enabling the module, waiting like 5-10 seconds and then disabling it

• StreamElements bot modded and in chat
• Active overlay with alerts
• StreamElements tipping page in the panels below the stream (!panels)
• Create a twitch account for the name you want to use
• Ground Control app must be running

Steps to enable custom name

1. Sign in to https://twitch.tv with the bot account
2. Install and run Ground Control (!gc for download)
3. Visit https://twitchapps.com/tmi/ and generate an oAUTH token
4. Copy/paste everything in the box to Ground Control oAuth settings and enter the name for the bot account
5. Restart Ground Control (custom name may take a few minutes to take effect)

Mac does not currently support renaming the bot.
