if it is working in the overlay editor, it should work in your broadcast software as long as the overlay was saved, and it is the same overlay used in your browser source. If you emulate a store redemption, or redeem an item that is a stream perk, do you get the image in the store redemption widget, and no audio, or nothing at all in your broadcast software?

if you are talking about the bot, you need to go to your dashboard, right side, part the bot from channel and rejoin it @torpid maple

if you see the video on stream, that would mean that your overlay has the media share widget, as for media request itself, I would reccomend disabling it from Ground Control and use it from the site itself

if you are using ground control to control the media request, then that will need to remain open, but if you are using show on stream, the audio is not coming from ground control

Alright, but when I leave ground control closed, and let it show/play on stream through the browser source on OBS. OBS itslef isn't registering that their is ANY sound coming from the overlay, unless a notification pops up

for media request to work, it has to be open somewhere, we recommend using the site over Ground Control

Ground control still works perfectly fine for it, I just didn't know if the overlay in OPBS itself was supposed to play sound from it, for the selected video that's showing. That's how it's described on the widget information on streamelements

if you use show on stream, it plays through the media share widget. Media Request is not fully compatible with Ground Control. GC is outdated and due for a complete rewrite, and the Media Request was overhauled not too long ago. That is why I have said a few times now, we recommend using the site over Ground Control

Hi there, trying to streamline what I need open when I am streaming - if I have Streamelements OBS.liv running what which other Streamelements elements do i need to be running? e.g. do i need the webpage or ground cointrol running?

After i reformated my computer, OBS wont work properly. It wont allow me to stream games that has Easy Anticheat. Ive tried REND & Fortnite. Both games use Easy Anticheat.
Hearthstone works perfectly.

Here's a comment from a buddy of mine that has better computer knowledge then me:

I believe that the hook from OBS etc, tries to capture Fornite - but the anticheat sees another piece of software trying to "hook" into the game and stops it.
That's why (as you might have seen) that we're able to adjust the window for just a fraction of a sec. but then it dies.

Hey guys I was wondering if you could help me understand how to correctly add a variable to a command. I've tried the help videos but unfortunately it doesn't have the info I need. For example, say I want to have a command for my total views. The variable for this is ${channel.views}. My response is, "In total, the stream has ${channel.views} views!". What appears in chat though is, "In total, the stream has views!". It completely ignores the variable. I'm having this problem with all my variables. What am I doing wrong? Thank you 😃

It should be fine, but I think that particular variable pulls your viewer count and you need to be live.

@narrow coyote Sorry, I fell asleep. The sound works if I actually type the command in chat and only if I have the layout editor open. The image does not pop up on my obs though. Only on the editor, that's where the sound comes from as well. If I actually go to the store and try to redeam something the sound will work (again onyl if I have the editor open) but the image and notification does not pop up and there is not notification in the chat. Nevermind, closing and reopening the browser seemed to have resolved the issue, I was slightly confused as it wasnt appearing on SLOBS either through the browser source which made me wonder what was wrong 😄

There is a way to have it how previous messages, but you will have to move the chat widget to a new overlay, add that overlay as a new browser source and not have the option "shutdown when inactive"

But you will have to keep the new browser source as 1920x1080 as well

To make this easier, make a blank overlay, name it chat widget

then go to the overlay where the chat widget is, click on it -> layers and click on the 2 white blank papers with red dot

this will duplicate the chat widget to the new overlay with the exact position it is, in the original overlay

You have to capture the video source (your game play) along with the overlay page, and, well, overlay it on your gameplay, then send it to twitch

So I know that having multiple browser sources enabled will cause streamelements to make sound alerts go through several times. Is there any way to help speed up loading times because it takes like 3 seconds to load and kinda looks "unprofessional" is there any way to make them load faster?

The load speed is down to things like your download speed, ping to servers because you're essentially loading a webpage. You could add a scene transition graphic

I want to use an animated background, but the stuff on the overlay beyond that is different. from intro screen, to backup gameplay screen, to break and exit screens.
There is no way to pull from that same video for multiple layers like you would do it in OBS right?

I'm not sure how else to put it. The sync thing would be great but not a problem for now.

The issue is that it doesn't mimic the way OBS does it which actually saves me CPU and especially RAM.

OBS pulls from the same file across all the scenes. and since it is 1 file, it is not always in sync but doesn't have the need for duplication either so it only runs 1 file in the background.
With SE I need to setup several overlays running the same background animation

@austere storm the thing with css/HTML is that Streamlabs offers a dumbed down Version of coding. Normal the importer should Cover it. But Since it didnt I advise you to writte @untold crest or @empty fjord about this issue. They will answer you when they have the time and maybe help you to convert the code

You can then have more arguments with different values, like have ${1} and ${2} so you could have 2 arguments
