Does it make a difference on performance if i use static overlays vs animated overlays?
My problem is that when i swop between scenes it takes a while for the animation to appear. So i might want to create static overlays to appear immediately when swapping scenes.

It does. Animated overlays are packed with .webm(video) files which can take some chunk of CPU power to render in real time or trigger properly upon events. Unless they are small in size or just a few of them.

Yeah i know i can use studio mode. my problem is i use ndi on my obs for my streaming pc. dont have a capture card yet. So the studio mode works a bit difficult to swap everything.
unless i connect my camera and everything on the second pc and ONLY stream my games from my pc. then all the overlays and everything runs on the second pc.
but how i will create multiple ndi links to my games? in order for different scenes to accommodate sizes.

Just to be sure, when you uninstall Ground Control, go to %apdata% (C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\AppData\Roaming) and remove the ground control folder if its still there

@zenith widget @zinc shale I couldn't find out how to do it. Tried exporting as splits then converting points.xlsx to a CSV but the import function still wouldn't work. In the end I went manual and just re-created every user in StreamElements and updated their points that way until they matched my Chatbot currency. Not ideal but luckily I don't have many viewers lol.

I'm trying to understand the intricate function of the timers... So I've got these settings:
Online interval: 30
Offline interval: 30
Chat lines: 5
If that 30 minutes timer rolls around and I have 5 lines in my chat in the past 5 minutes, the timer goes off.
If that 30 minute timer rolls around, and I don't have 5 lines in my chat in the last 5 minutes, does the 30 minutes start over? Or does the bot wait until I have 5 lines in my chat and then blast the timer, and then start the 30 minutes over again?

Interesting. Most bots will handle it the former way. As it's nice to advertise with timers to new people who pop into the chat and get those Chat Lines up. Like as soon as they've said 5 things it'll just drop the timer. What's confusing is the "chat lines in 5 minutes" part. Shouldn't it be "chat lines in interval specific to whether you're offline or online" lol

also, if you are handy with the programming stuff, you can create your own timer system, as there is an API call to make the bot say something for you

Unless you are talking about something else, the only place we list subs (like who and how long) is in the extension. If you are talking about the sub count, that is doen through the "totals" tab on the widget data page, and refreshing that will force update the values from twitch api

You can use it with the bot if you want, or not. You fill out the information on that page, put an image if you want, cost of tickets, max tickets people can get (with loyalty points), then launch the giveaway. You will get a unique giveaway page you can use to advertise, and the bot will announce in your chat about it. Then, people can join either from the giveaway page, or by using the !ticket command. Just make sure to have it turned on

You have to Set them up so they fit your Stream
Chatline = How many Chatlines have to be there befor the times Message goes out.
Active chat: 20-30 Chatline
Not Active chat: 5-10 Chatlines
Time= How much time must have passed for the Messages to appear?
So if you set it to 30 Chat lines 5 Minutes

I believe the current system is checking the chat. We started webhooking some of our alerts such as followers (if you notice when you follow someone we record it literally as soon as its done like a second) We are looking to transfer that tech to subs and hosts as well in the future. @frigid flare

Ok, so here how it works really:
The Overlay is added as a browser source. A browser source is essentially a BROWSER like chrome/Firefox/etc. Said browser source PLAYS any sounds coming from said link(in this case overlay with alert widget). That sound is played via your main PC sound device/source. OBS picks up ANY sound that your PC makes and smacks it into the Desktop Audio source in the mixer part. That audio source is then played FOR the stream. So if YOU don't hear it, the stream won't hear it.
Unless you have your stream open and unmuted on your 2nd monitor(if you have one) then you will hear an echo and the stream/chat will hear the echo
If you have multiple scenes(with different sources) then thats another thing about echoing

Is there any update on the fix for re-subscriber alerts? I had mentioned something here like 6 months ago regarding the subscriber variation settings not working right. Subscriber variations work fine for new subscribers, but I also have a variation for resubs that never triggers.

it's an extra step he needs to do but it's easy to do so 😃

@solemn dagger Twitch prime (new and resub) and paid subscriptions (resub only) must be shared in chat manually by the person subscribing in order for the subscription information to be sent to StreamElements. For twitch prime, the user needs to have sharing enabled on https://www.twitch.tv/settings/prime. - Install and run Ground Control (!gc for download)
- Visit https://twitchapps.com/tmi/ and generate an oAUTH token
- Copy/paste everything in the box to Ground Control oAuth settings and enter the name for the bot account
- Restart Ground Control (custom name may take a few minutes to take effect)
Mac does not currently support renaming the bot.

At the top, you can select what type of media request you'd like to allow
The both does not work
if you have both a cost and a max amount of free songs, it will always tell you you do not have sufficient loyalty points to request a song
Second problem is the "Max free requests per user"
This seems to start counting at 0, not 1.
Meaning if you have it set to 0, you can request unlimited songs
If you set it to 1, you can request 2 songs.
If you set it to 2, you can request 3 songs
Etc etc

the free song thing is a legit thing that can't be solved
"Both" option should allow !sr command and via tip in the tipping page. If its not working, change it to "Via Tip" only then to "Both" or from "Both" to "free" to "both" again.
but its dependent on the loyalty points cost for !sr
(not the command cost set in the default commands list, but in the media settings)

Hey folks! I have a super overlay (the talk show one) I set it up as a 1080P scene originally. I am finding my CPU doesn't like to have 4 of those scenes open at the same time in 1080P. so I want to scale the scenes to 720P. When I did this (in the "my overlay" page. The scenes are all scaled wrong, they go off the page. I expect this as they are now set to a different and lower resolution, but I was curious if there is a way to scale them properly from the overlays page? Or do I have to manually re size every item in the overlay to fit? does this make sense? I am using Xsplit broadcaster.

Out of 94-ish viewers, no one was able to enter via commands until the link to the public page was provided to enter manually. 😦 And yes, I restarted it numerous times; thinking perhaps it was just a weird glitch
I've operated giveaways prior to this moment without a hitch, I should add that as well. 😂
