HeyGuys ! trying to import points from rutony chat to stream elements but came to difficulties. Rutony stores them in .json and i only can import .csv , i asked my vievers to reformat the file into .csv but none of the methods seems to work for me so far (coma, tab, semicolon). Is this problem solvable?

@winter sparrow Make sure to :ballot_box_with_check: “Shutdown source when not visible” for all browser sources (all OBS scenes). @latent socket Are the tips coming from G2A pay? SE does not touch the money at all. the tips would either be via payapl, which goes directly in if there is nothing pending, or G2A pay if you are using that, if you are using G2A pay, you need to transfer from your G2A wallet to paypal

it would be in your tipping settings, if you used paypal, you would have gotten an email from them about the transaction from the donation, not sure if G2A Pay does the same thing

what do you have in OBS? the sound has to be coming from somewhere. What I would recommend is to replicate the bug (get it playing multiples), and then pause something. Does the issue happen when you have OBS open?

@lament blade you have to make sure to add your game using the game/window or even desktop capture (im assuming you are using OBS studio on PC). As for the starting soon screen, if you have it properly set to "Shutdown when not visible" in OBS, all you have to do to get it to restart is hide it and unhide it (the eye button next to it)

don't attack those that are trying to help, its usually a good rule. As for the command not working for !rolls, where did you try to change/add it? I just checked your defaults, and I still see !roulette as its regular command, I am adding roll as a command alias so it will trigger the same

ok, well for sounds from the store to play on stream, you need the store redemption widget, which will play through your overlay, so unless you route your audio so you dont hear it, and it is captured on the stream, you will still hear it

ok, so you need to have the store redemption widget in your overlay. If you dont, nothing will happen. If you want it redeemable via chat, you need to enable that option, and set what you want the name for that to be, then it would be used with the redeem command like this !redeem Item Name

Correct, when something triggers the bot it does a timeout on the offending user, this is what deletes the message

You can set up link blocker through your twitch settings, which turns all links into *** before they even hit the chat channel

you can resize the overlay itself to 1440p on the site, but then you will need to rearrange and adjust all the elements in the overlay. You could also leave the overlay at 1080p, and have the browser source at 1080p and press Ctrl+F to fit the source to the canvas in OBS

not really sure at this point unless you have something that is blocking something. As long as the widget is active somewhere, and you are not trying with the tutorial song, it should work. Show on stream is working fine when I test in an overlay with the media share widget

If you are using an animated overlay from the pre-mades, this will make your CPU even GPU load skyrocket

Ground Control app must be running

Steps to enable custom name

Sign in to https://twitch.tv with the bot account
Install and run Ground Control (!gc for download)
Visit https://twitchapps.com/tmi/ and generate an oAUTH token
Copy/paste everything in the box to Ground Control oAuth settings and enter the name for the bot account
Restart Ground Control (custom name may take a few minutes to take effect)

Mac does not currently support renaming the bot.

Log out of SE website, ( https://streamelements.com/logout ) and clear CHROME's cache
Turn off your router from the electricity for 2 to 5 minutes.
After all of that, log in to the website

Then follow these steps:

open up chrome settings page (chrome://settings)
on the top search bar type javascript
Click on "Content" that has a bubble with "javascript" in it
Click on "javascript" and place https://streamelements.com into the field from the screenshot

As far as I know Twitch's API does not allow to get previous data for bits

I just checked their API and it seems this is the only thing related to bits I'm finding: https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/v5/reference/bits/, but it may be hidden deeper, but we are able to track them regardless

The chat bot actually tracks the chatter list and assigns loyalty points. our extension just shows the leaderboard without actually needing to go the se.com/yourname/leaderboard

I haven't touched Twitch's API really to properly tell you as why we don't track past cheers if SL is able to do it. But as a software dev my self, I know they updated their API couple of months ago and a lot of stuff was changed.

What I know is, we start tracking cheers the moment you sign up an account with us and can't retrieve past data. If its possible, then maybe there is a reason SE Devs have decided not to pull it and I don't know that reason.

I have a potentially weird question about the way SE handles webm videos. If the video is stopped short before it ends... and it plays again immediately after... Does SE hold the position of the video? I haven't seen any problem with other alerts, but maybe the ExtraLife widget handles video replay differently?

you should be able to use an SE overlay in SLOBS, it just needs to be added as a browser source, but we do recommend using OBS Studio over SLOBS

SLOBS using less resources is pretty much a lie for most systems, it will use more resources, as it is doing more stuff than just OBS Studio

Is the bot supposed to disregard the media request limit when Queue moderation is turned on? We have the limit set to 3 free songs and when Queue moderation is on, anyone is able to add infinite songs but with it turned off, the bot stops them like it should.

yes, the queue moderation feature means we assume you're doing a bit more manual labor on your end

the waiting-for-moderation queue could end up being very long, and the user's songs might end up being rejected, so the limitation of max per user gets ignored when it is turned on

if there is no confirmation email from PayPal, then the transaction did not go through, if you have viewers that are not able to donate, it sounds like it would be a problem with their PayPal accounts

the variations are not tied to the store items. If you made multiple variations for the follower alert, and left this checked, it could be triggering a random alert from your variations

@plucky marsh да, есть функция копирования виджета. но я настоятельно рекомендую оставить оверлей на 1920х1080, вы ничего не теряете, софт на стриме сам изменит. у нас оверлей сделан на весь экран.

Weird WEBM video glitch in the Extralife alert widget. If the video is stopped short before it ends... and it plays again immediately after... Does SE hold the position of the video? I haven't seen any problem with other alerts, but maybe the ExtraLife widget handles video replay differently?

Right now what's happening is the video will begin the loop where the last webm video ended, resulting in the intro for the alert not lining up with text at all

@pliant spruce ah, go to the website, My Overlays, then click the large pencil. This will launch the overlay in the editor, where you can move everything to where you want it, then hit save. You will see it live update in OBS every time you hit save

Getting back into obs studio since streamlabs obs is being a pain but obs studio keeps dcing me even though my settings are fine since I used it on streamlabs just fine, I just want to get my obs studio to stop dcing me every few mins

Custom bot name requirements

StreamElements bot modded and in chat
Active overlay with alerts
StreamElements tipping page in the panels below the stream (!panels)
Create a twitch account for the name you want to use
Ground Control app must be running

Steps to enable custom name

Sign in to https://twitch.tv with the bot account
Install and run Ground Control (!gc for download)
Visit https://twitchapps.com/tmi/ and generate an oAUTH token
Copy/paste everything in the box to Ground Control oAuth settings and enter the name for the bot account
Restart Ground Control (custom name may take a few minutes to take effect)

Mac does not currently support renaming the bot.

Does StreamElements track watched time as well like SL Chatbot, or is it just points? I'm trying to migrate from SL Chatbot and I want to make sure my viewers time watched is saved.

@upper grotto yes we do track how long the user has been watching your stream, tell your viewers to use the command !watchtime (remember to also activate it and add our stream elements bot to your mods)

To confirm as Channy had to go do some IRL thing and can't remove his strike over the text. The import of hours watched does not work for us, sadly. Working points can be imported.

Is it possible to use NerdorDie custom CSS alerts into SE? Or do i need to import from SL instead?

You can use NoD alerts, but some adjustments may need to be done for them to work properly with our alert providing system.

What I'd suggest is, add them to an overlay, test an emulated alert. If it doesn't work as intended, check pinned message in #dev-chat for our alert variables and just replace some words.

If you are having trouble with that, just ask in #dev-chat and one of our code gurus will be able to help with proper setup of the NoD alert.

Trying to import points.xlsx generated from Chatbot using StreamElements > Import > Ankhbot/Streamlabs, and it keeps saying "Import failed - want to try again".

The import bit uses .csv as an example. Does it have to be a csv, or will it accept .xlsx

@zenith widget OK It looks like Chatbot export options has changed. There is no longer an option to "Export Currency CSV". On the Cloud tab in Connections, you can Create Backup, Import Backup, Create Excel Files and Create Split Excel Files. None of those create a CSV file for currency. Only the Create Split Excel Files creates a Points.xlsx.

afaik the points should be in .csv file and not .xlsx file, since you said that its giving you an error when you try the points.xlsx then I assume its set to take the .csv file. Poking internally to double check this.
