• Create a twitch account for the name you want to use
• Ground Control app must be running

Steps to enable custom name

1. Sign in to https://twitch.tv with the bot account
2. Install and run Ground Control (!gc for download)
3. Visit https://twitchapps.com/tmi/ and generate an oAUTH token
4. Copy/paste everything in the box to Ground Control oAuth settings and enter the name for the bot account
5. Restart Ground Control (custom name may take a few minutes to take effect)

Mac does not currently support renaming the bot.

When my viewers try to redeem a sound effect on chat with commands, the redeem is done but no sound. They have to go to the actually streamelements store to redeem it with sound.

consoles dont support overlays, and if you dont have a capable PC, there is really nothing you can do about overlays, but if you stream directly from a console you can still use several of the other features

My alerts have stopped playing all the way through. They instead are getting hung-up and pausing in the middle of the webm file, not finishing before the alert timer completes

This has been going on for a few streams now. The webm file is animated to go away the same way it animates in. It used to be fine when I set up the alerts before, and I haven't touched it since.

Now, it stops in the middle of that animation, and hangs up. Instead of flying away as it is supposed to, it stays on the screen in that frozen state, and then vanishes when the alert timer is hit

This results in my (timed appropriately to fit into the animation) text areas (where names are filled in and stuff) coming in properly, but then fading away well before the animated file goes away (since it was supposed to fly away at the same time anyways, but instead paused)

1. Maybe his in the ignored list for loyalty and that maybe stopping him from redeeming(this should not affect him regardless)

@pseudo panther if you Download a twitch extension like FFZ you can Set things up to Highlight stuff In chat with special keywords

For exsample, if the Chat alert Message say "username just followed PogChamp"
You can Set up things in FFZ to Highlight the key Word "Followed" with a blue background

That way the Chat alert stuff is Highlighted just for you and you can track that with more ease

My alerts have stopped playing all the way through. They instead are getting hung-up and pausing in the middle of the webm file, not finishing before the alert timer completes. This has been going on for a few streams now. The webm file is animated to go away the same way it animates in. It used to be fine when I set up the alerts before, and I haven't touched it since.

Now, it stops in the middle of that animation, and hangs up. Instead of flying away as it is supposed to, it stays on the screen in that frozen state, and then vanishes when the alert timer is hit.

This results in my (timed appropriately to fit into the animation) text areas (where names are filled in and stuff) coming in properly, but then fading away well before the animated file goes away (since it was supposed to fly away at the same time anyways, but instead paused)

No, the way it works you have one overlay URL it includes all of your widgets, simply go into my overlays (https://streamelements.com/dashboard/overlays) create a new overlay then click the big pencil. There click widgets in the top left and you can add them and customize them on your overlay

To get the overlay URL you can click "Launch" in the editor or the popout box square and it will give you the URL needed

if you block someone on twitch, it only effects twitch website. They would still be able to watch your stream, donate, etc. If they do donate (or have before), you can block them from donating again

1. we have tip moderation (you would be able to approve/deny the message from showing)

2. tip message moderation (block the message or change the message if it contains certain words)

4. Copy/paste everything in the box to Ground Control oAuth settings and enter the name for the bot account
5. Restart Ground Control (custom name may take a few minutes to take effect)

Mac does not currently support renaming the bot.

Can someone help me?
My chats messages are not showing up in obs, but they show up on my overlay. Also when I change the background of the chat widget in the overlay editor and save it, it also changes it in obs, so everything works just chat messages don't show up.

Yes, all of that. Alerts are showing up, latest followers do aswell it's literally just the chat that doesn't display for some unknown reason

These should be the default settings for the chat widget as well. So make sure the fade effect is not set to lets say 2-3 seconds

The only way I see you getting around this is as followed:
Have a command like !DailyDeal
in this responds you tell people how to use the Command

And then just tell them in said command they can use !DailyDealPS4 !DailyDealXBOX !DailyDealPC

to get the diffrent rewards and the responses they look for

That looks like you have a virus locally on your computer, because the browser source plugin uses Chromium it means that if your Chrome is affected by what you have it can also show unwanted images like this within your browser sources too

there are ways to "shadowp play" through a PC, and then capture that with a broadcasting software (like OBS) and add overlays

or using a capture card
