What do you mean its disappearing in OBS? If you set it up properly where it will shutdown the source when not visible it will take some time to load, but not disappear. If you did not set the source to shutdown, and you dont see the widget, that is most likely an OBS caching problem and you would need to refresh the cache of that source

@floral badger the best way to set that up is to create a store item, and use the variable $(redeem itemName) in a custom command

The item will queue in your redemption list, which you can appove when you play with them

There should be an alertbox in the overlays, you can edit the settings for each alert by clicking on it, then the gear. As for the different amounts, that would be variation settings

I'm new to streamelements, a channel I'm supermod for is having trouble with adding points. She runs Deepbot and SE together and adding points to users is not working properly. What exactly is the command for adding points to a specific user and if DB is already integrated then how does that work? Both streamer and I are confused on this.

And will that add it to both bots? We've been struggling with that question.

Usually the session tab should reset it self after you stop streaming

if it hasn't you can reset it manually

if your last stream was yesterday, then the server migration/maintenance we did may be affecting old data and reseting/refreshing it manually will make it calculate/get data properly

A few weeks ago, we got a new connection with twitch that gives us notifications for ALL the hosts (auto included, twitch doesn't differentiate). In accordance, we originally put in a default of 1 viewer minimum on alerts, and introduced a way to hide hosts from the activity feed by the viewer count. Steps to enable custom name

1. Sign in to https://twitch.tv with the bot account
2. Install and run Ground Control (!gc for download)
3. Visit https://twitchapps.com/tmi/ and generate an oAUTH token
4. Copy/paste everything in the box to Ground Control oAuth settings and enter the name for the bot account
5. Restart Ground Control (custom name may take a few minutes to take effect)

Mac does not currently support renaming the bot.

as for being banned - you have to receive reports for copyrighted songs...but I don't think that may happen, even to big streamers.

(the fiasco that happened some time ago was caused by the Label releasing the song early and that triggered their copyright system on twitch really, but VODs tend to get muted, nothing else)

This is a problem with xsplit itself, and causes problems for other services outside of StreamElements. Several users have been in contact with xsplit to try and get them to resolve these problems

I guess you are referring to SLOBS, which is a fork of OBS Studio. Unfortunately, at this current moment we only offer all-in-one tool for overlays, a desktop app that can help track activity feed and you will have to have the twitch chat pop out window to be most efficient.

You can still use our overlays with SLOBS, but it is known that they either block some of our overlays and/or SLOBS is CPU heavy then the original OBS Studio.

Let me check something for you.

@light basin Ok, so there are 2 ways to do this. One is going to take longer then the other, but it depends on if you know some CSS+JS or if you have a friend who is willing to do this for you.

We have a widget in #widget-share - the Snake game that shows emotes ( https://streamable.com/8yno4 ), so the alert widget can use that type of code. But in order to do this, you will have to enable custom CSS for each alert.

The other way is, use Custom Event list - that widget is fully customizable(the snake game, uses the custom event list), but to actually on a later point change some of the alerts, you will have to edit code.
