you can set it up how ever you want, but if you have a browser source added to OBS that has widgets from StreamElements, then it sounds like you either did not add the browser source at the correct size, or you have this source under another source that is blocking it

If it is a problem of scaling it up, its best to make the image at the size that you want it, or larger so then it could be scaled down inside of the overlay editor

Your overlay should be based on your canvas size, with 1920x1080 being the most common. Your web cam size will depend on if you are using a 16:9 or 4:3. If you were using a 16:9 cam I would recommend making the camera frame 1920x1080 and then building around it from there. You can then downscale the image inside the overlay editor for a result like this

you need to resize it to fit the field you want

this is why adding your image into the overlay editor would be best, so you can line this all up how you want

The way around it I've been using is to create a scene with sound alerts only and on every other visual alerts only. The one with sounds had unchecked "shutdown source when not visible". But Shutting down and not swapping scenes is the main solution for that issue.

I'm not really sure my self, as I don't use the cup, but did you try these options:

One is the reload cup and the middle one is to reset the cup

Also if you have the shutdown feature on all browser sources in all your scenes, then when switching scenes, OBS loads the overlays and it takes some time to refill the cup, but I'm not sure if the cup is emptied that way when switching scenes or it refills with what has happened prior to the switch scenes.

If the cup is empty upon switching scenes, then my other suggestion would be to make an overlay JUST for the cup and add it as another browser source and have it on all the scenes where you use it. This way you won't loose any cup filling progress.

Custom bot name requirements

• StreamElements bot modded and in chat

• Create a twitch account for the name you want to use
• Ground Control app must be running

Steps to enable custom name

1. Sign in to https://twitch.tv with the bot account
2. Install and run Ground Control (!gc for download)
3. Visit https://twitchapps.com/tmi/ and generate an oAUTH token
4. Copy/paste everything in the box to Ground Control oAuth settings and enter the name for the bot account
5. Restart Ground Control (custom name may take a few minutes to take effect)

It has worked perfectly fine for a month and now back to back its not working

when "not showing in stream" it works, I can hear it (in the streamlabs viewer webpage) but when I hit "show in stream" I cannot hear it and it doesn't show in stream

@azure swift I am not sure then. It worked fine when I launched it in my browser. To me, it sounds like there is some software blocking the browser source from sending/recieving some data

@azure swift There isn't much we can do from our end since this is SLOBS. Its a very new program, and is prone to having issues like this. Everything we have done points to that program specifically causing the problem

so it "did it again" and here is what I did to get it to work: I opened a new tab in a different window with the overlay URL and it suddenly popped up on my screen. then I closed the tab with the launched overlay URL and it has remained in my stream

Here is what I see happening here:

When you first start up, the widget is not being detected

When you launch the URL in the browser, the widget is detectable, and you can send media to it.

Since there is now media playing in your overlay in SLOBS, it remains detectable

so media will continue to be sent to it

I have a thought on the issue...because its still happening...could it have to do with "shutdown source when not visible" being checked (or not checked)?

I noticed that in properties of SLOBS it was checked to shutdown source...I unchecked it and it seemed to fix it

That setting is to shutdown the source when it is not visible, it should have no impact on an active overlay, unless SLOBS managed to completely bork that feature

if you are running an overlay with only the media share widget, you don't need to uncheck it, as long as you only have the one overlay with the widget in it

but yeah, it "shouldn't" make a difference, at least it doesn't in OBS studio

It may seem that twitch is a bit on the bad side today so some thing(like in your case hosts/alerts) are not triggering properly for the Bot via the Twitch API. I don't think its something we can fix and just wait on Twitch to do their thing.

One part is connection for the Bot to listen, while the other part is a TOKEN we get for your account and the overlay widgets and session data listens on that said Token. If they have changed something for the hosts/raids on the bot side of the Twitch API, then unless we get updated or they change/fix it, on our side it just looks that everything should be fine for the chat alert module to work, even after doing all the basic things I suggested above.

Just finished my first stream. Had some issues with the bot.

1. I created a command a couple of weeks ago and then edited it a few days later. It worked in testing. But today, no matter what I did, it insisted on spitting out the original response, which had long since been deleted and was nowhere in the chat commands list. I even tried deleting the command and recreating it and creating a new command and renaming it. But no matter what I did, the bot kept giving the original deleted response.
2. Two commands have counters. Both written the same way. One counter worked. One, no matter what I did, was stuck at 0. I don't know why.
   I'm not hugely concerned because I don't expect to be streaming again any time soon. But figured I should at least file a bug report.

Today, several different bit transactions were donated to me of various amounts. One amount was of 500 bits and it was not tracked via elements. It was only tracked via Twitch but not until I ended the stream did it add it. Another note is that the bot was correctly enabled and tested and the other events went through ok. The 500 bits was added to his total above the chat window pane. Any suggestions?

hey i have been having issues with a couple of things with stream elements

1. the song request system keeps skipping songs that my viewers request and i cant even request the songs myself.
2. whenever someone redeems something through !redeem from my little stream store it doesn't process it through the system so like someone requested scare cam in my stream tonight and it told him that it was redeemed, took his points, then the system didn't even count it for some reason.

You can look at artists open for commissions in #art-marketplace , but some of the custom stuff will involve CSS and that is not something all artists will be able to handle

I'd suggest to open the properties of the browser source and click on the "Reset cache" button under the shutdown option.

This is an odd issue actually and the only things that I can think of is the resolution is not set properly or there is a cache problem with the browser source. Other thing is, if you have an overlay editor(another person with access to your overlay), they may have changed something and clicked save, but that is not likely, if you see it normally on the editor

@normal silo Well we don't have a counter per say in the overlay editor, so you will have to add a text source in OBS and just put a number there and add a number when ever you win a game. There are programs that can do that with a button, but we don't have that feature.

Good morning guys 😃 i have a little problem with my alerts. Follower Subscriber und Re-Sub is working during stream but Host and Raid not... when I do a test over the dashboard Live/offline it works and it is showen in OBS and the sound is also there. (Count is on 0 so the alert always shows up 😉 ) but when someone raid/hosts me there is no alert at all 😦 what am I doing wrong?
