Hello, I'm using a "stream starts soon" scene in OBS with a stream elements layout and a regular gaming scene with a different streamelements layout for my stream. When I get any sound alert there is always the default "pling-plong" overlaying my custom sounds. I already went ahead and deleted all sounds from the "starting soon" streamelements layout and verified that no alert is playing, but I still get 2 overlaying soundeffects. When I play the alert in only the gaming layout on the streamelements website, then it's not overlapping.

Yes. You will have to log out from SE and back in. If that doesn't sort the name change, you will have to provide your old twitch name and new twitch name and one of our SE.Staff will adjust your SE account to the new name.

Ooh you were referring to the SE Bot. I think it will still stay in your chat. Not really sure on that one, but you may encounter problems in the long run when changing twitch names with SE. Be prepared just in case.
I'm not really sure how the rename thing works with Twitch...never used it and never will hopefully. But the name change really happens from their side. This will most likely log you out of SE dashboard and so you will have to log in again.
This will allow us to pull a new token from twitch API and everything in theory should be fine, but sometimes hiccups happen.

It's actually not for my own channel, but rather for someone i mod for, i notice the bot not joining chat at all no matter how many times i ask it to rejoin. it says it's there, but on Twitch, it isn't. 🤔

Sure. The logout should give SE system to pull a new token, but there might be other problems. When you are both able to contact each other and are having issues due to the name change, pop in here and a staff member will help with the change.

Don't worry. I used to use SL before and had to google that solution for double sounds....it actually haunted my streamer for the longest time, until we moved to SE

Hi I’m Twitch-Affiliate since yesterday and I wonder when Streamelements shows new Subs. Since Affiliate I have to Prime Subs and Streamlabs and Twitch are showing them correctly but I see nothing in Streamelements. I see the subscriber points on my dashboard so SE recognized it already but the subs are not showing. One was 10 hours ago the other some minutes ago :\

If you've been logged into SE for some time and recently hit affiliate, its best to log out of SE and back in.
This should refresh the token we get from Twitch about your account info and should start properly track your sub count

I did this already. And I see that SE recognized that I can get Subs now, but the counter is on 0 despite the fact I got two Subs.

When you go live next time the SE dashboard should update with any offline subs, but the activity feed may still not show them(if they are not shown currently). All counters are based on sessions: "Session data automatically resets 15 minutes post stream. All events that occur off-stream will be accumulated towards your next stream"
What I would suggest is, while streaming, you could go log out of SE and then log back in. This should allow the Twitch API to give us a live number count of your subs

Well basically everything. The issue you would face with copyright sounds is that the VOD afterwards would be muted. Most of the time that happens on songs and a little chunk of the VOD will be muted

Okay I figured it out. I manually entered them because I'm moving from streamlabs. Apparently a $2 donation I forgot to check the "Import" button. When I re-entered the donation with that checkbox, it showed up properly.

@red drum The message part is easy, you just change where it shows the message with the timer variables to include the stream starting soon text beneath the timer variables.

Then you tick that option in the screenshot and leave the message to show after countdown field blank

@tough hound Sorry for the late answer. Currently timers can't be called via a command to relay its msgs, so its best to setup a separate command to have the same message. This won't affect the timer in anyway, even if its going to trigger in a minute or 2

I see! You should add the possibility to set the timer content the same of a command ( even with a simple dropdown menu in the timer settings that has all the active commands in it ), so you just have to update the command and both are done

@junior epoch we don't provide downloads of the overlay as we mean for them to remain in the cloud. There are several things we can recommend to make it so your system can handle them, but you have to be ready to limit yourself. A laptop (unless you dropped serious cash on it) isn't really meant to be streamed on. Especially once they start getting 1-3 years old. I recommend limiting to static overlays, no kappagen, no hypecup, static alerts

@tacit jungle animated overlays are meant for very strong PC's (i7-6700k or higher recommended when gaming). If you are using multiple scenes, make sure you "Shutdown Source when not Visible", or else OBS keeps them ALL loaded at the same time
as for the deleting of the tips, go to tip settings, then tip list, and there is an option to delete them all. If you want, I can do it real fast for you

Loading time for overlays will vary based on your internet speed, ping to servers, and the amount of data to load in the overlay. Using studio mode, you can preload your next scene before transitioning so that no loading appears on stream. Twitch doesn't support higher than 1080p, so I doubt you are sending a stream at 3840x2160, especially since most 1080p streamers need a two PC setup to manage it

You may play the game at 2160p, but your stream itself is encoded and broadcast at 720p or 1080p
You can check in your obs output settings
but its likely you are streaming at 720p, maybe 1080p, though I don't believe a laptop can do that, unless you spent like $5k on a laptop

To add your overlays to OBS, add a new browser source in your scene. Paste your overlay URL in the browser source properties, set the dimensions to 1920x1080 (unless you changed them on the website), and :ballot_box_with_check: “Shutdown source when not visible” https://youtu.be/KDvLynUqXI4

Our overlays are designed at 1920x1080, so if it isn't showing 1920x1080 in SLOBS, its likely something wrong with their browser source plugin.

Heya 😃 I have a problem but not really a problem with twitch. I have 2 channels on twitch and I want to set up SE on the 2nd channel. The thing is I didn't want to have to keep logging out from one to login to the other, so I have one twitch channel (and SE) logged in using Firefox and the other channel logged in using IE. This works fine for Twitch, but when I go to SE website to login on IE all I get is a blank page. I am running Win7 and IE v11 which appears to be up to date. Any ideas plz ?

@weary mist there is a problem with custom commands. Because for example it triggers the word instagram (and you have the url of your insta page in your response) and the url of the profile has the word instagram as well, it sends the response twice in the chat (once because you run the command, and once because in the response the word instagram which is a keyword of your command is in the url). (How to Fix: when it triggers instagram, it only should trigger that word, and if you add suffix or prefix, like url that has www. before and .com after the word, it shouldn't trigger it otherwise it makes it hard to make commands messages.)

I have to go live in 9 minutes, but I'm a stream labs partner in the process of switching over to stream elements. I'm half switched over, I use stream labs chat bot but can't seem to find a way to transfer the points. They have removed the Export Currency to CSV button and nothing else will import. Steps to enable custom name

- Install and run Ground Control (!gc for download)

- Copy/paste everything in the box to Ground Control oAuth settings and enter the name for the bot account
- Restart Ground Control (custom name may take a few minutes to take effect)

Just a heads up. if your using SLOBS and are having lag and high CPU usage, we suggest switching to normal OBS. It will lessen the load of overlays.

I thought that was what user cooldown was, if that's the case then you need to setup each item with a user/global cooldown, I've had someone redeeming constantly sound effects so had to add user/global times to all my sounds

then they all are on cooldown but i have 50+ redeems
there needs to be a True Global set
so you should be able to set Indivudual cool down and global cooldown for All redeems. at the higher level

I am working on an overlay through stream elements and using one of the themes from the theme gallery. I am currently editing the alert box for the alerts and have completed doing the follower/tip/subscriber alerts and they all work fine and dandy but for some reason the cheer alert doesn't function at all. Like no changes I make go through, changing sound/image/time to appear/fade ins, fade outs/ sizing of letters etc it doesn't save or change it just sticks to what it's currently at.

I don't think it does, as every time I open the page up it starts from the same way the playlist is set up in terms of the Youtube playlist. That's a shame though. thanks though doggo friend.

@lament blade with the way it works now, the shuffle button was removed. There is a possibility that it will come back in the near future though
One positive is that you can put in a playlist any size you want, and it will play through all of the videos/songs (make one like 1-2000 songs, never have to worry about hearing the same song over, lol)

Hello together, i have trouble with my twitch extension: i Just installed it an activated it but nothing happens, i cant get any configuration done (klicking on the squares effects nothing, cant set timezone) and if i watch on my Channel, i see the panel, but it says only offline and 3 dots are "walking" seems like it is loading something, but nothing happens (waiting now for 30 mins)

I know you guys have been open in expressing being against a paid plan or something, but the lack of customizability is really unfortunate. I don't know how many feel the same way, but if there's a way to have more "make it your own" about SE in terms of external appearance (not just overlays, alerts) - I'd be much more interested there, even as a paid platform.
Hope you guys at least think about it. - The UI and user experience you guys have for the viewers is top-notch, but the feature limitations are staring at me every time I want to do something less-than-standard function. Such a program would provide the funding for those developments, maybe, if there are others like me.

I'm having a bit of a long-term problem. The last few weeks, my timers aren't going off. One is set to go off at 30 minutes and 10 chat lines, and another is at 45 minutes and 15 lines, but in a 6 hour stream, they don't go off even once. The regular commands seem to work just fine, though.

The chat lines have to be met in the last 5 minutes before the timed firing
so if they are not firing, I recommend reducing the chat line count

The Variables page doesn't show how you'd select a specific response from the JSON document. Would you just add another "/(name)" after the normal API URL?
