Has anyone noticed that in some instances the graphics that need to load for an overlay are delayed? Not sure if this is just the case when in preview (edit) mode via OBS. But for example, an image I use for the alert box takes a bit to load in while the alert (follower/subscription) text is already being displayed.

overlays take 2-3 seconds to load, that's normal yep

we suggest using studio mode to preload them

also just noticed u said u have a specific delay with an image you are using, check if that image is not way too big (size wise)

size should be KB not MB so it loads fast

I will just let you know, if you run into problems where the Alerts are not playing. Thats because XSplit made huge changes with the 3.3 update and basically killed browser sources

it seems that this apply's only to some people not everyone. XSplit came out with a Fix for that with there newest PTR build.

@white frost The extra alert sound has to be playing from an active source somewhere that has an alert widget in it. That or you have multiple alert widgets in the overlay, or you have the overlay open in a web browser or the overlay editor

• Maximum request duration
  I set it to 10 Minutes, but it seems like Viewer can still request Videos above 10 min length

• Is it possible to let the Bot answer to the Viewer if the Song they requested got added to the queue. Some did complain about the spaming in the Chat when mutile people request songs

In streamlabs youre able to just move the text by itself, idk if thats possible here, im attempting to make the switch but thats making it a bit hard.

MIght have already been answered - but I'm wondering if this is something that's possible: - I recently got Partner at Twitch, and with that, RERUNS become a viable thing (since having it tank my viewer average no longer really matters like it did with Affiliate). With that though, viewers are going to be able to earn stream currency while being at Reruns. I'd like to prevent that, and have stream currency only be valid when live. Is there a way to do this, without having to go into my dashboard manually and disable currency before starting any reruns?

With streamlabs, I'd just "don't run the bot" but since SE is not local to my computer, it's not that easy.

So, so far my limitations with the platform are:

1. Cannot disable currency earning while not live (reruns) without manual input
2. Cannot disable duplicate alerts from firing off audio, even when the scene is disabled and even when "Shut Down" in another scene
3. Cannot have smart, automated events happen (such as a message display when a specific user chats).

The duplication is probably because one or more are not "shutdown when not visible". Check all your scenes, and all your sources. I run about 8 different overlays, and never have an issue

As for the laod time, we are working on something, plus we know work-arounds

Twitch doesn't have a "notification system" for hosts (unlike follows, subs, raids, etc.) so the only way for StreamElements to know that you are being hosted is to connect through you to twitch. This connection is made on:

The reason it broke is because you tried to do everything at once in 1 command

Also there's no need for ! before the command name

@dark dome By reset it i'm guessing you mean refreshing it in OBS, one thing we always notice when people report this is that the overlay still runs flawlessly on the site when this occurs which tells us that the issue is not on our end. My suggestions would be to check your OBS Studio is up-to-date, plus it's a good idea to keep an eye on your CPU usage and connection when they freeze so you can try to pin point what's causing it

Ahh I see, yes they would, we don't have a user level for followers because people can follow and unfollow all the time so keeping track of it is a bit of a logistical nightmare, it'd also require a lot of data requests from the Twitch API servers, which we already put under stress currently 😄

which means you need a capture card, or some way to get the xbox video/audio to a computer

because consoles are not ready for overlays

Streamlabs focus's on alerts and some overlay modules. They purchased a chat bot as well to add to the mix. Between us and them, we are cloud sourced, where they are almost all client side (on your computer)

Using us, you have much less on your computer overall

I am not sure why you would use both. We provide all the same tools (minus an OBS fork), and we are ever expanding.

With them, you have to have the bot loaded on your PC to run

so when you have it off, there is no moderation, no minigames, no nothing for your viewers/users until you turn it back on
