Hey guys, not really a streamelements question - but having trouble with frame drops in OBS. Been fine for months, but today I'm getting massive drops for no reason at about 70% dropped frames (settings are the same, called ISP and everything is fine there). Tried changing twitch servers and every single one drops frames. I streamed at 6k bit rate for months with no problem, but today it seems like it only works when I use lower than 2.5k. Weird since it's not my computer, it's not my settings, not my internet, and not twitch servers. Really stumped on what the problem is, did anyone else have a similar issue and know a fix?

Hi Support for Streamelements, is there a trick to get the cam box on any overlay to size with an actual cam. I have a hdpro c920 set to 640x480 res on a 1920x1080 overlay panel and i can modify the width but not the height of the 16-9cam box.

if your friend goes on their account settings and generate a new invite link with editor powers, gives it to you, and then you can go to the "My Overlays" page, and click the the "duplicate overlay" button next to the relevant overlay and choose their channel on the popup. @steady quest

Hi I'm back. I got my overlays and alerts all sorted but now I'm having issues with the SE bot. It randomly types command names into chats and I don't know how to stop it. For example, people will be talking, and the bot will randomly say "!discord" or other commands.

@slate valley Static overlays (images and text) will use much less CPU. You're welcome to use your own graphics locally with alerts and widgets in the browser source to lower usage but then you lose the convenience of having everything stored in the cloud and accessible from everywhere

We offer all-in-one browser sources for convenience but we're a flexible system because nothing is a one-size fits all in the streaming world. No one is forced to use the pre-made themes because there's no way to guarantee that every PC will be able to stream with them. If you have a "beast" computer there should not be an issue streaming with a single browser source overlay. I'm using a 6700k and 1060 and 10-15% usage is expected when using overlays that include everything in one.

The other things I have questions about are contests. Does it work so whoever bets on the wrong outcome loses their points, and the winners get their points back, plus what they bet? I tried a few contests during yesterday's stream but I don't think it paid anything out after I selected the winning outcome. This was just observation and checking points afterwards so I could just be mistaken but I want to be sure

Ok, your GPU is far stronger than CPU. I highly recommend using NVENC encoding (dedicated chip on the 1080ti) to reduce the amount of stress on the processor

The reason for the usage is because the browser source uses CPU rendering. What is your twitch username? I will take a look at your overlay

The only thing I can gather from that log is that, You should disable Game DVR for windows 10 and that your downscale filter should be set to bilinear.
Everything else looks normal to me.

Just checking to see if the !quote command and quote callback has been fixed? So far it only stored 2 quotes, SAYS it stored the rest, but won't recall anything beyond slot 1 & 2.

Ok, here's the problem. Chat lines is the required number of unique messages that must be posted in chat within the last 5 minutes of the timer in order for the timed message to be posted.
So in the case of the follow timer, there must be 10 chat messages posted between minute 15 and 20 for the message to be posted at minute 20

if the requirement isn't met the timer starts over
your chat line requirements are most likely too high so the timed messages aren't being triggered

To rename the bot you must use our tipping page and make sure it is linked in your Twitch Panels, and use our overlays. The option will appear in your Groun Control (!gc). You must own the BotName you are trying to use, sign in to https://twitchapps.com/tmi/ with the account you'll be using, and generate your Oauth token. Make also sure to the name is ground control is the same as the bot account and that it is modded in your channel :)

You can choose to make the Store Items coast loayalty points so only trusted viewer can trigger it
or set a global cooldown so you dont get spamed
when you prepear a Store Item you can upload a WEBM or Gif aswell as a soundeffect
make sure to add the "Store Redemption" widget into your desired Overlay

Regarding Song Request. I have everything set up and I have a backup playlist set in case there are no songs playing, however, the playlist is a 3 hour dubstep mix. I was thinking once someone requested a song, the backup playlist would stop, and that song would start playing in it's place. Does the currently backup playlist have to finish it's entire duration before the song request goes to the top of the queue?

I'm having this strange problem guys. I triple checked if I had the alert box repeated in overlays. And in OBS I made sure to turn everything off when not visible. All of my alerts, their sounds and videos get repeated twice with a delay and it just ruins the alerts all together (also, I enabled TTS and then tried to disable it and It seems impossible. )

Hey! So my friend started streaming recently and wants me to help him with everything that is happening in the background. He decided for some user made overlay and I helped him modifying it to his needs. He wanted to have a small chatbox in the bottom left corner, it all worked fine until he changed something, becasue he wanted it transparent. So he deleted the one and got a new one from widgets, set it to custom, applied black colour and set oppacity to 0.2. Problem is, nothing appears in chat anymore, even If I try to use the normal balck chat box or the other options

Huh, didn't think of that if your friend changed their name they need to click on Part Channel, sign out, sign back in then click on Join Channel

Why do people that sub to me for the first time ever pop up with “so and so resubbed for x amount of months?” It should just say they subbed.
Also... I have a problem where people hosting me doesn’t always pop up an alert. I have it set where it has to be a minimum of 3 for an alert to pop up but it still doesn’t when people host me with more.

Twitch doesn't have a "notification system" for hosts (unlike follows, subs, raids, etc.) so the only way for StreamElements to know that you are being hosted is to connect through you to twitch. This connection is made on:

Please have one of these open during your stream in order to receive host event notifications.

for testing purposes you can add another alertbox and uncheck subscribers on the old one and just check subscribers on the new one
so have main uncheck sub and new one only have sub checked

@valid perch No, there's something to do with Twitch chat that prevents it, the main issue is it could be used to spam Twitch chats which could cause problems for the bot
