How are you resizing it? 1080p canvas downscaled to 720p in the OBS video settings or are you making the canvas 720p and using ctrl + f?

Hi there everyone, I've been having some trouble with OBS today. For some reason OBS decided not to capture any of my displays, and in addition to that, none of the window captures I set up work. Every time I window capture something, the app looks completely black through OBS, and some windows won't even show up in the dropdown. Anyone got any ideas??

So you just make another account on Twitch with the name you want the bot to have, then log into that when you request the OAuth token for Ground Control

Hey i dont know if anyone else is having this issue but ive noticed for the past week about that my bit alerts randomly stopped working. Sometimes the alert will work but then the cup wont fill or sometimes i wont get a message at all. When I repeat the alert it will sometimes fill the cup and sometimes wont.

I stream with a 2 pc setup, the stream pc is a linux box but it can only handle a streaming resolution of 810p60, i tried using a theme overlay but i can never get it to scale correctly. Is there a trick to setting up an overlay for the resolution or do i have to just create one from scratch

For the premade themes there re designed for 1080p or to be acled down to say 720p or other 16:9 Res's
for other Res when you create a custom overlay you can sset it to whatever Res you like

I need some help if someone is willing to teamviewer... and help me out o have a tangle of issues as i am trying to do something i havent seen be done before or yet at least... current status... i got OBS and am using SE overlays cuurently follower alerts come from twitch to SE alerts... i have been using restream.io to push my stream to youtube twitch and mixer amd using their chat bot to keep up with all three chats... issue i was aware of was that i would only see follow alerts from twitch viewers... but after relooking over my old StreamLabs dashboard i see i can monitor for all 3 through StreamLabs.... my question and need for help is undoing SE stuff and redoing StreamLabs stuff to work with SE overlays

depends if your using the source across scenes if so just make a "Extra scene" and then put the scene on the scene your using (if that makes sence) so theres ONLY ONE scene with alerts on and its ontop of all your other scenes

I dont like disabling them when not checked because if your using a overlay over your camera ect from SE you have to RE WAIT for that scene to load the "Source"

if you are going to use the webcam on more than one scene, you will want use shutdown source on it, some webcams will only work being active in one source at a time

If you use a "webcam" its a global source on a scene meaning if you disable it then it doesn't actually disable. Unless you make more than once source.
@narrow coyote That only used to happen on OBS Classic, Studio fixed that issue with making "Sources" global if you use them on more than one scene, Classic use to treat them as brand new "Source" even if you chose to use a premade "source"

So you have to make a new account on twitch and get that jwt token in order to have a separate name

Song request is glitchy for me seems to be no matter the settings we use it will only allow a few songs. I've increased the user limit to 3000 songs and moved the cost of points but it still only seems to allow a request or two per user before it starts to ignore them.
I asked @misty wagon about it while in my stream before he said to ask here so here I am 😃

ok, it might be something to do with the custom bot name, because it sometimes takes a minute to connect. Shutdown and restart Ground Control, and give it a few minutes, and do the "test" button

There's actually a very simple explanation as to why commands like /w for whispering doesn't work, you could make a command which does /w <username> and force the bot to whisper any user on Twitch as the StreamElements bot, that's not something we want to allow 😃 makes sense when you think about it
