I have a question with alertboxes. If an alert fits multiple variations and I don't have random alerts, which alert does it pick?

It's a common misconception that streaming in 1080p is better

For really big streamers yes, but for most streamers 720p low bitrate is better

because people with weaker internet can watch your stream easier

because if you're going 1080p 60 fps 6000 bitrate

people have to download that and if it's not great it's harder to watch

This will make it so your overlays preload, and there is no delay on the web elements loading

Studio mode is so you can see a scene before you make it active and alter transition modes

also is used for editing a scene without affecting the live scene but its an ass to configure

in studio mode, if you click on another scene, it will pop into the left, then you click transition to switch them, you can then close studio mode once the transition is over

You can also setup hotkeys to open studio mode, and one to transition the scene

@lament blade Yes, you can set a custom resolution for an overlay from the "My Overlays " page. Click on the small pencil next to an overlays title to adjust resolution. Then when you add the browser source to the broadcasting software use the same resolution in the browser source properties.

Ok, now if you're using a theme you'll need to resize the layers manually. The current editor doesn't do this automatically for the premade themes

Since you're basically at the same aspect ration as 1920x1080 I recommend leaving the theme at 1920x1080. Add the browser source at 1920x1080 and then use CTRL+F to fit it to the canvas

I'm using OBS studio, with studio mode on for fade transitions. When I get a notification it plays in both windows resulting in doubling of audio. Is there a way to fix this?

@wooden mango Make sure to :ballot_box_with_check: “Shutdown source when not visible” for all browser sources (all OBS scenes). @clever mango doesnt that kind of defeat the purpose of having two scenes loaded up to be able to hot swap? Having to tab out of the game to queue up the next scene is kind of buns :p

hey quick question any way to remove the pinging from alerts? ive set a custom audio track for tips, sub and follow but i still get the default ping then my audio file starts

check your browser sources/overlays and make sure all have ticked shutdown when not visible

or sounds will come from them
