Alright thank you! It's something really simple and it's probably my mistake. There seems to be a bit of a delay when im switching from 1 Stream Elements overlay to the next. When I open a scene it takes a couple seconds before the scene shows up on OBS (a black screen for a few seconds) Any tips to fix this?

@slim holly Loading time for overlays will vary based on your internet speed, ping to servers, and the amount of data to load in the overlay. Using studio mode, you can preload your next scene before transitioning so that no loading appears on stream. There is ${user.level} which prints the level of the caller. But also a ${sender.level} which the documentation says always uses the person who sent it. Makes me think there should be a way to get a different user...

@pliant shoal If you are using the total follower/total subscriber widget, reset your session from the Activity Feed to fetch updated data from twitch. If you’re using goal widgets, you can edit the progress of any goal by going to Activity Feed > Widget Data > Goals. This can also be found in the overlay editor by selecting DATA (next to WIDGETS) > Goals

@tight harness also very late response but I didn't mean instead of line height. in advanced text settings (given it doesn't have a title) there's an option to add inner padding to the alert box. and i've been very unsuccessfully trying to center the text with it but it doesn't work because it doesn't account for different message lengths. https://i.imgur.com/f54KjP3.png

Any bot you add to your channel will be in your viewers window, that's normal. Also the statistics are helpful information, you can unsubscribe from them if you really want to but they're not designed to be "annoying", most people appreciate them 😃

I'm moderating for a streamer who's been using Streamelements for a while now and she's wondering if the Streamelements songrequests work with the title of the YouTube video as well (like "!songrequest Avril Lavigne - Sk8er Boi" for example)
(songrequests with links work without any problems)

It's a little bit weird since the description of the default command in Streamelements says "Request a song by youtube id, url or video title." ^^
Is that just not implemented (yet)?
Or is there anything that needs to be turned on/enabled?

Hope someone can help me with that, thanks in advance :)

well i just got one of the layouts, Notice that there is a frame for the webcam but i just wanna slap a picture on there since i do not have a camera at all, But the thing is once i try to stretch it it starts stretching both sides and not just one.. So my stream has just gotten to a point where I'm getting regular viewers and even some tips are starting to come in. I was wondering if there's any way through the loyalty system to reward donators with special perks aside from just the one's that people can purchase with tickets/coins/ or whatever you named your stream currency. The only way to really do that would be to give donators the Regular role in User Management and then have it so Regulars can do certain things as Regular is above Subscriber in user level, Regular is 300 and Sub is 250

Hi, I'm trying to get my Hype Cup to work...its showing up on my screen, but the bits people are cheering aren't even showing up in my cup or anywhere on my screen when they're cheered. I mentioned this in artist chat but u guys thing ninja uses some type of code or api (idk about coding or api) for making his notifications look like they do or u think it’s just the service? I don’t mean his exact graphics just like how the graphic plays which reveals the notification.

Twitch doesn't have a "notification system" for hosts (unlike follows, subs, raids, etc.) so the only way for StreamElements to know that you are being hosted is to connect through you to twitch. This connection is made on:

SE Dashboard page - https://streamelements.com/dashboard
SE Activity Feed page - https://streamelements.com/dashboard/activity
Ground Control desktop app - https://streamelements.com/groundcontrol

Please have one of these open during your stream in order to receive host event notifications.

I'm creating an overlay for an event I'll bet setting up on my stream. For this I'd need a counter for everytime someone says a special set of words.

Is there an option in the overlay creator to add a 0 and crank it up 1 everytime a hotkey is pressed ?

So I could set up text like "Number of *** has been said so far : 0" and add 1 by pressing like % on my keyboard.

Is it clear enough ?

Download the latest version of groundcontrol on the right side of your Activity feed https://streamelements.com/dashboard/activity or here https://streamelements.com/groundcontrol

You can create an extra account with the name of the bot but you can also use your own account.
Pro of using your own is that when you are live, the bot can use sub-emotes but in this case make sure your offline timers don't use any.
If you choose to use an extra account you have to gift a sub to the bot to use sub-emotes.

The OAuth token is the key to your account, so it uses that to talk. If you give it the oauth for your main account (Lattemotte), it will speak as you. So if you want it to have a different name, you have to have an account with that name. You can open this page in an incognito window and login with the name of your bot account. https://twitchapps.com/tmi/

My Sub's have not been able to put song requests during streams. Only myself and Mods have been able to....Even when i tested it by adding a sub to the 'Regulars' Option for song request they were still not able to add their requests to the que. So I have been having issues with my raid alert for some time, but want to finally get it sorted. All other alerts work fine except for raid. I created a new overly and it works fine. It just doesn't work with my existing overlay.

@upbeat valve there is a possibility that the alert box on your current overlay has some old bugs in it. The best thing to do would be to add a new alert box, and rebuild it. When raid were first released, there were some issues like this that were happening

In any case, the bot is not a StreamElements product. It's developed and maintained by a 3rd party @past tartan. If there are issues with the bot, we can contact them but we can't directly troubleshoot issues.

In OBS, select the source for your game capture, then in the preview window you should see like a red box on it, you can then move that box, and then rezize it by grabbing the little control handles on the corners of the box
