The custom graphics I assigned are still working as intended. The cheer alert however never changed sound from the default.

a@hollow star I highly recomment checking out videos on OBS. there is a lot of variation that is hard to account for. Then you can check out OBS's discord for support. We are primarily StreamElements support

@lament blade That is something very difficult to help with, as having a low end PC isn't helpful. The only thing I can recommend is looking at getting a webcam so you don't have to stream to your PC. It should save resources. The Logitect C920 was on sale for around $45 recently

Sure no problem, so under tip settings you have the Media Share on/off button, Media Share is where you can show the video of requested songs on your overlay, where it says cost that's how much the person has to donate for a second of the song/video to play, so it will work out how much of the song/video to play depending on their donation amount, you can set a minimum amount so people don't just donate 1 cent for example for 1 second. In bot settings you've got the cost of song requests in general, the percentage amount of a discount subscribers get, the minimum user level required to use song requests and what level is excluded from all of the limits others have

It's up to you what you set the cost to, if you set the cost to 0 then it can be free, otherwise set it so whatever you want

By default it's 0.01 which is 1 cent or 1 pence or whatever you set your currency to

Which means if you set it to 0.01 then $1 or £1 or whatever will be 100 seconds

And remember that you can click on the button on the song request page or Ground Control to show any requested video on the overlay without them having to pay if you so wish

Sure thing. A viewer donated to me yesterday and I received the paypal confirmation with the note "Thanks for tipping" (which I receive when folks donate via my streamelements tip page). However, the alert didn't go off and the data wasn't saved in StreamElements. The last donation I received before yesterday's was on January 18th and the alert went off for that one and the data was saved. I haven't changed anything on StreamElements so I believe this is a bug.

not sure. Its weird that the information didn't show up. For now, you can add the tip manually, and mark it as imported so that it pops an alert (and counts it in all your data). If it happens again, then that is something to definitly look into. Normally, when paypal has a downtime, it isn't more than 4-6 hours tops

@eternal oracle the easiest way to do this for a brief period is to duplicate your overlay and edit the alertbox in the overlay copy with the sounds removed. Then add this copy with no sounds to OBS and check shutdown source when not visible. Hide it in sources (eyeball) until you want to switch to no follow sounds. All you have to do then is show this overlay and hide the one with sounds

you can also just duplicate the alert box, delete the sound out of the second follow alert, and uncheck all the boxes for the other alerts. Then you just swap between the two alert boxes as needed (check the box on the one you want to hear/see)

The reason you may have not experienced this before is other services offer the alert boxes in individual sources. Ours are unique per overlay, so having 5 overlays, will have 5 alerts popping. But if you did the same as other services (one overlay across multiple scenes), you would not experience the issue. Its the lovely way browser sources have to work. But we do our best

@twilit talon I found the reason for the error. The "Import from CSV" is a revlo import tool for importing points in the specific format that they used when they closed. There is currently no tippeeestream tip import but one is planned.

@restive saffron Kepp in mind the timers are two fold. Chat lines MUST be met by the time the timer is triggered. If they are not, the timer starts over

so if your chat isn't busy, you might want to adjust chat lines close to 0

if you set chatlines to 0, it will trigger the timers at the exact interval (30 minutes for example)

Under the chat alert settings for subscribers do you have to put in manually how many months you want. So if a person subbed for 4 months but I only left the default 1 and 2 does it show the 4 months in chat.

Also, how many emotes are supported by Stream Elements.

@The Guiido#2061 It depends on how you have it set up. If the default for 1 and 2 is exactly 1 and 2, then it will use the default alert set up. Otherwise, if its Greater than 2, it will play that alert. Either way, there will always be an alert

as long as you have the sub alert box checked in the alert box settings

As for emotes, that depends on what you mean. StreamElements is a bot account, which has emote access for any accounts it is subscribed to

It's a limitation on how many API calls we can make from Youtube's API currently

Basically, Youtube's API works on a points system, we get 1 million points to use a day with a monthly cap of 16 million points, if we have all songs show the name we use an insane amount of points each day, we don't want to reach the cap because then song requests are out of action for everyone until it resets, so it's a small price to pay in the grand scheme of things 😃
