I've yet to figure out how to stream on Gmod without showing sensitive information.

Since I'm a moderator on a particular server, I'd have access to see Steam IDs and logs of information, but I don't want those visible when I'm required to access them.

It's not as if I can show a different screen either, since I only have the one monitor.

Yesterday I started using roulette module from SE and no one is earning any of the points every 10 mins. Can this be a conflict with streamlabs loyalty? Make sure to log all the way out of twitch, and log into the account you want to have logged into StreamElements. Then, make sure you log all the way out of streamelements, and clear cache to be safe. Then when you log in, it should connect to the account you are logged into on twitch. You can also try it in an incognito tab in chrome, as that will not hold any cookies/cache/chocolate

Hey, I just setup some store items to redeem and I'm dealing with an issue here:

1. I can set it as a Stream Perk.

2. Or I can set the item up as a sound effect.

3. has to be manually approved which is a pain in the ass sinc I expect this to be spammed. But it shows the alert correctly

4. has no alert visible on the stream (I did set a video for it), but I don't have to manually approve it.

I want it to be automatically approved, but still show an alert. Is it a bug that sound effects don't display the alert? If it is intended, then I would like there to be an option to turn the alert on 😃

or is there a way to do what I expect some other way?

@woven yew not sure what you mean. If the countdown is stopping, that is normally an issue on your own end. the countdown works smoothly for me, and I used it on a 24 hour stream (that was a mistake, it was too long lol)

@tepid nova there is no way to make it only calculate, not at the moemnt anyways. The closest is to just make it whisper the person that triggers it, that will keep the response out of chat

Question: I have a user who doesn't earn "xp"/"points" (stream currency). They changed their Twitch username about a month ago, and they've been accumulatiing currency for that time. When they check it in chat, the bot shows their accurate currency value - but it will not allow them to purchase anything with it from the stream store because they don't have enough (it's looking at their old username). I've tried everything I can think of, but I cannot get them to be able to interact with the store anymore.

You go into My overlays, you edit one of your overlays, if you have an alert box you click on it and the settings open up on the left, if you don't have one you click on Widgets then click on Add at the Alert Box panel, then click on it to bring up the settings on the left. You've got Text Settings in there where you can edit a bunch of the text settings, such as the text highlight colour

You make an overlay at the overlay manager, and then you put it as a browser souce on OBS 😄

To customise the overlay you'll need to add everything in the overlay manager which is what we call the page you get to when you click on the pencil to edit the overlay. When you click on Launch on that page it gives you a link which you add as a browser source to your OBS, whenever you update the overlay in the overlay manager you'll keep the same link @heavy pecan

Alright, the idea of doing it our way is that you can use the overlay anywhere even if you go to an event

So you don't need to have the files on you

That's a widget, do you see the Widgets button at the top? We have a bunch of them that you can add to your overlay

Yes, it pulls the data from your Tip List, you can choose whether you want to display the top donation from your session (current stream), week, month or all-time 😃

When you add the widget you'll notice a dropdown box on the left which lets you decide which one you want to display

When you're editing an overlay it's at the top left of the page, Widgets, then when you're in there you're looking for Top Tip or Top Tipper

Top Tipper includes the amount and the name of the person

An "overlay" is just a browser source - overlay does not mean a full graphical thing. its literally a blank page until you add widgets.

I am having issues with changing a the battlefront 2 theme from 1080 to 1440 resolution. I have tried changing it from the theme editor

The trick is to not change it to 1440p on the site at all

Leave it at 1080p because the themes are absolutely meant to be kept at 1080p, add it to OBS at 1920 x 1080, then you can resize it to 1440p with Ctrl + F in OBS

even though I have it changed to 1440 on the site

@hollow isle It's not that StreamElements thinks you have 20 subs, it's that you're using the Sub Goal widget when you're wanting the Total Subscribers widget

Sub goal is for short-term goals, it counts up 1 when you gain a sub, Total Subscribers shows your actual current total subscribers count

It starts counting when you sign up to the site

You can edit the count here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/session in the Goals tab, but just bear in mind that this widget is not designed to sync with Twitch so it'll only count up 1 when you gain one, if you lose one it won't go down. That's what the Total Subscribers widget is designed to do

Yep, sounds play from any active overlay. You need to go into every overlay that you have in OBS (all scenes) and ☑ Shutdown source when not visible

Also, if you have OBS and your browser editor open they can both play sounds

add them to OBS at 1920x1080 in the browser source properties and then if they don't fit in your OBS canvas you can use CTRL+F to fit to canvas

its not the original theme i had to work for a couple hours to get everything moved to fit the new overlay

the background couldnt be animated so i had to go to the video address and took a screenshot to get a still pic then resize that to fit

then i went to the overlay itself and resized everything to the resolution i was able to stream at at the time wich sadly is only 960x540 till i can get better equipment

Either way there is a problem. The theme can't be 960x540 and have the chat widget and you can't add the theme at the native 1920x1080 because of your computer limitations. I don't think you'll be able to use the chat widget
