It seems it reset everyones balance to zero, but it still shows all the users that are registered with the leaderboard. Do we have an ETA on the next patch rollout?

@faint ice The alert box is created in the overlay editor. You can get there by going to My Overlays, and then clicking the pencil on an overlay to open the editor
If you don't have an overlay, then you can create a blank one, or go to the themes gallary and choose one of those
@lament blade So to start, you stream through a broadcasting program similar to xSplit or OBS. On those programs, you have a browser source where you put the link to a StreamElements overlay, and that will show on your stream

Sorry if this is a repeat, but I'm having issues with my Host alert not going off while I'm live. I've tested it like usual and it shows up fine when I launch OBS but the past 3-4 days the only way I knew I had a live host was when the notification popped up in chat. Everything else workds fine. Ive even reuploaded all gif/sound but no luck. Any advice? Thanks a bunch!

To be able to do it automatically you would hvae to have access to the API of the specific game and then make a bot that could do it,, (would not recommend XD)

@humble ether thats what I was thinking. Currently every fighting game steam producer uses xsplit and stream control. Stream control links in to a .swf file and stream control allows you to update the text within that source in the scene.
So if you're running a tournament in a game like street fighter you can update the names of the players, their score, and where you are in the tournament (i.e winners finals, losers finals). So I think youre right becuse you would need to that plug directly into the overlay editor to change that text without going into the overlay editing page itself.
I'm not a coder so I was curious if someone had figured it out.

So heres the problem with using steam control. You have to download another instance of steam control if you change the overlay image because the text wont align and you might have different text variables.

Ive done work with the Esports Arena in SoCal and they have someone who codes the overlays and the stream control for every event. She would have to run down from upstairs and fix the overlay on my streaming pc. Would be a lot easier if she could edit it from the upstairs hit the save button and have the overlay automatically update on my end

@ripe herald I'm working on my overlay, live. And having a problem with some of the images on the Green Flare supertheme. In particular, on the Talk overlay, and on the Stream Ended overlay, the images for donations have text that is integral to the image. I wanted to change all of the "Donation" texts to "Cheer" texts, but I can't do that when it's literally part of the image. I'd imagine the BRB and the Starting Soon have similar problems. I was able to do the changes I wanted on the In Game overlay since those headings were not integrated into the bottom bar image.

@sage wolf the best test is to have your task manager open while you play the games. With the overlays, all browser sources have to be encoded using CPU, no matter what encoding you ahve. The more animations you have on it, the harder it is on the CPU

@distant jacinth After reading some of that, I think you have broswer sources active that don't need to be. If you go into each source settings, and scroll down and check the box for "Shutdown when not visible". This should limit you to just the source you currently have up on your scene
When switching scenes, I do recommend you use studio mode, so that you can load up a scene, then transition once the page is done loading (obs is slow on that part)

I either did something wrong or there may have been multiple browser sources active in one scene, because I did that but still would get 2 or 3 browser sources at 15-22% CPU usage.
I didnt think of using studio mode, however, so thats a good tip, haha

also, if you upgrade, I recommend AMD as Intel announced a huge security leak with there chips last night, and the fix is estimated to have a decrease in performance for all intel chips

@distant jacinth When I switched everything to StreamElements, I trashed all my old scenes. What you can do is to just grab a new scene, and turn off studio mode. Then check the task manager. If there is any bootstraps running, likely there is a browser source somewhere that is still running. If not, then just need to go through the sources in the one scene to make sure the box is checked
