As for reseting it, you just need to reload the overlay (as long as you have shutdown when not visible, you just turn it off and back on. Refreshing the cache should do the same thing)

open the browser source settings, and make sure the width is 19s0, and the height is 1080
and if you used a theme, make sure you have the size of the overlay on the site set to 1080p, as they will not scale down if you change it

Tipping page takes 2+ minutes to load (or doent load at all, even if refreshed and cache deleted) Tested on Chrome, firefox edge and internet explorer. Tested on multiple computers from friends who live in different cities.

the 2nd message is created by the Chat Alerts module, which can be disabled.
However, if you disable the chat alerts, you won't get a chat notification for website redeems

There's only 2 causes, either the bot isn't in your channel (which usually it is), or it's the second thing which is an issue with the settings, which includes something is left blank, a message is too long or a number is too high

nope, the $ sign means it's a variable

${1} means the bot will retrieve the first word after the command name, so if you type this command : !shoutout toto then ${1} will be replace by toto in the output message

The autohost is when the raided party goes offline. The /host is now only to be uses as a networking tool before you go live to attend other channels with a manual host that shows up on their alerts.

If you're trying to use animated overlays on a PC that can't handle them there is nothing streamelements can do about that. It's up to the streamer to use what their hardware can handle.

@lament blade Ok, your computer is quite old/weak. You can stream but you shouldn't expect to be able to do much because of the hardware limitations. You'll need a very simple overlay and only one running at a time. Even having other browser sources from other services is going to tax your system. Condense everything into one. As for OBS settings, visit https://obsproject.com/wiki/ where you can find the OBS forums and a live chat where volunteers help out users.

You can add a sound effect to the stream store and make a command that redeems the sound effect by using the variable $(redeem name) The name in the variable is the item name that you set when adding the sound effect to the store

@whole folio We dont have a specific BDO overlay. Some of the overlays are generic for any game, all of them can be edited to remove elements you dont need - so honestly "any" overlay "could" work with some effort

I have 3 differnet ones now, but when I hit the "simulate sub, follower, donator" I hear the sounds from all three? Even though only one is turned on in my OBS? Any idea? Thanks.
Maybe its just a bug that StreamElements layover manage plays all 3 sounds but only one will play through obs?

@stark sonnet Sounds like you dont have the "enable shutdown when not active" option in the browser source options (you need to do this to all of them, even on seperate scenes)
Also if you're testing it, the sound plays via the website too, but there is a mute button in the top right

My overlays -> Create a blank overlay. Open it in the overlay editor, at the top there is "Widgets"
All the things you are looking for will be located there.
The alertbox widget is the widget you need for the follow alerts etc

well, Twitch allows absurdly long names in some circumstances, so I end up where I have to make it so (a) the font size is small enough max-length name fits, which makes usual-length names look bad, or (b) scroll... but it still scrolls small names, which is undesired

My hope is any of a few options:
- font size reduces to fit content in the space alotted
- name truncates gracefully, not mid-character, or spilling off the side of the box
- names that don't fit (and only those) would tightly scroll

I've been using StreamElements for all of like... two days, so I've still been trying to get my feet under me, and seeing if there's a way to accomplish what I want without making requests.

Is it possible to copy alerts from one overlay to another? downloaded a custom theme and changed the alerts on one of them and don't really want to do it manually for each variation
