All-time is only increased through being in the stream

This basically means that current can change in various ways through various features, whereas all-time only increases and through viewership

Okay @solemn copper You have your store redemptions set to "Sound Effects" so it will only play the sounds, no actual visuals.

I've tested it, and I can hear them 😃

If you set up Stream Perks for example then you will see the visuals that you set for those, but Sound Effects are simply sounds and do not possess any visual alert 😃

The 'Store Redemption' widget you added is necessary for both those sounds to play and for the visual alerts for redemptions such as Stream Perks

Yes, think of them as webpages, they have to load just like any other webpage, there are ways to get around it, for example with OBS Studio you can use studio mode to pre-load scenes before you switch to them

I also find that fade transition is another method 😃 that's what I use

Then you need to make sure that you've clicked Save after making the changes and then you may also need to just quickly reload the overlay in your OBS

You right click on the overlays, click on Properties, then it's a tick box that says 'shutdown source when not visible'

It basically ensures that sources you don't even have open currently aren't active in the background and using up resources unnecessarily

They're essentially webpages, all webpages take a little bit to open, there are some ways to counter this though, OBS Studio has a feature called studio mode where you can pre-load your next scene before switching to it

You'll see the tabs Labels, Goals, Session Data, Totals and Aggregates, Session data is just for that individual stream, same goes for the widgets, if you set them to session they'll reset after every stream, so you'll need to check in your overlay that it's set to the period you want it to be

Yeah, you've got Variation Settings at the bottom, you need to go into this setting and remove the sounds from the variations too if you want to get rid of the sounds entirely

@lament blade We give people an option on their Loyalty Settings page to give a certain amount of points for each dollar for example, as long as this is set up correctly by the streamer it should work correctly

To have sounds for followers you need to be able to have an overlay, if for example you used a capture card and hooked up your console to a PC then you could have an overlay in OBS which could have an alert box to do this

But if you stream directly from the console I'm not aware of any way you'd be able to do it

You don't need the website open, but if you don't have it open then you'll need our desktop app Ground Control open instead

I understand you're a mobile streamer and this causes implications for you, so i'd like to just take the time to explain to you why it's necessary. Twitch doesn't have a "notification system" for hosts (unlike follows, subs, raids, etc.) so the only way for StreamElements to know that you are being hosted is to connect through you to twitch. This connection is made within the Activity Feed code. This code is on:

1. SE Dashboard page - https://streamelements.com/dashboard
2. SE Activity Feed page - https://streamelements.com/dashboard/activity
3. Ground Control desktop app - https://streamelements.com/groundcontrol

Without that code being active somewhere we simply can't know about those hosts, it's of course something we wish wasn't the case and hopefully sometime soon we won't have to rely on that method, but at the moment we do. I hope you understand

I do have a suggestion but it is not necessarily possible for everyone, you could get a moderator to have it open for you, just an idea to try and make it easier if that's an option for you

I'm trying to setup a variation for gift subscribers, but it's not saving in the overlay editor. Is this broken or am I missing something?

@torpid wren Could you try making another overlay? you can simply call it test, add the alert box to that new overlay and test it there, see if it works, if it does then it's possible you'll simply need to re-add your alert box to your current overlay

I ask this because I just made a test overlay, added an alert box and tested the gift sub alert and it worked perfectly fine 😃

Seemed to save all of the settings I just saved, once you've saved the settings, could you try using this key combination: Ctrl + Shift + R

It will refresh your page and refresh the cache

Uhh it'll be a few, Chrome is incredibly slow

If you go into your Chrome settings and then scroll down to your Advanced settings you'll see an option called Hardware Acceleration, having this enabled can cause some slowness on certain sites, it seems to cause slowness on ours at times

Just a suggestion to help with the slowness 😃

Yeah, our site works a lot better on Chrome, it's basically built to work on Chrome seeing as more than half of all internet users use Chrome and OBS uses Chromium for it's browser sources. We're hoping to make the site work better on other browsers in the future but it's not a priority when it works just fine on Chrome 😃

Hei.. I introduced my brother to StreamElements yesterday and this morning we fixed him some overlays, but there was an issue with 1 overlay that we chould not figure out.. and its the one called "PUBG IN GAME ANIMATED BULLET" and its the part that is in the middle that is suppose to cover the health bar and hide the IP for the server that the match is going

the thing is that it did not show up.. everything else but the thing in the middle

Is it possible that this part of the overlay was hidden or deleted in the overlay manager? That's the only reason I could think of as to why that wouldn't be showing up

We did not remove anything except for the part of the overlay that had to do with social media stuff

all other is the same as deffult

when i looked at the editor part the part of where the middle part was was in a transparrent layer

i chould see the thing that was suppose to be there, but it was transparrent with the background.. but when i placed the overlay into the OBS is was not there

Many people asked for it to be refilled so the refilling part is intentional, although we may lower the number of tokens that do go into the cup to try and cut down the time it takes to refill, it's meant to empty when you ask it to which it wasn't doing, that's a known bug

They do get added with a correct number, it's a visual bug where it says 0, but if you do !quote 1/2/3/4 etc they will show up accordingly to the order you add them in

You can change all text labels, you can hide or remove any of the icons, and there's plenty of hidden icons you can make appear to replace the ones currently in place, just takes a bit of time

For example, I don't use instagram or youtube much at all, so I removed those and replaced it with Discord for example

@lament blade you can give everyone a free ticket when creating the giveaway but I don't believe there's a way to give a specific user a number of tickets. You could give them extra points so they could use them for entries though
