Was your alertbox already set up before the raid alert feature was added yesterday? if so, then this is a known bug and we will fix it.In the mean time, you can add a new alert box, and only configure the raid alert, then you can put it in front of your already existing alertbox.

I vaguely remember there being something about the alert being as long as the audio before though, not sure if that was fixed by now but if not you may need a silent audio file as long as the video and just upload that (if that is the case)

@normal crystal please check your tipping settings to see if you enabled "tip moderation". If you did you need to manually approve tips before they will show in the activity feed and show an alert. You can approve these tips from the Pending Alerts section in the activity feed

After the tip is processed, they send us a notification through their API but they seem to be having an issue with that system which is delaying the notifications

Doesn't always work with some OBS patches though
I found that if you still have the issue, remove the overlays "visibility" does the trick
you have to manually activate some stuff though, but works for me for now

subscriber goal is a counting widget which counts up when a sub (new or resub) is received. The goal is set in the widget and the current progress can be set from Widget Data in the editor or activity feed
It doesn't pull data from twitch api which means it won't reflect if the sub count goes down
that widget would be the Total Subscribers widget

yea the goal widget is usually used for a single stream goal
but can be used in other ways

@thorn spear the goal widget is good for if you want to get like 20 a day, or week, or month. The Total sub widget is good for keeping track of your total amount (pulls from twitch)

I just tested and it worked fine here. I imported with 1 variation. I changed the variation text, saved, emulated, exited, reentered, emulated again and the change remained. When you have variations, the default settings no longer apply so all of the settings are changed in the variation popups.

@lament blade Right now, the activity feed must be open during stream (through the site or ground control program.) This could change in the future. With the old site, host alerts were received through an open overlay but now that moderators have access to the dashboard and the overlay URLs, there is a security risk in doing it this way.

Morning guys.. im having some issues with my overlay im trying to create it, but when im testing tyhe notifications its changing it to different names everytime i try to test the notifications lol. is there a way to do it without not changing the actual names? for example: if "bob" was my latest follower, everytime i emulate a notifications it changes to "maria" now i dont even remember who was it lol

The change in name is just temporary, it doesn't save

we changed this with the 2.0 website because we did not want to leak any information relating to your Twitch Channel to some Moderators you allow on your dashboard.

I have been using Layer One because I don't like having the twitch chat box open as it makes my computer lag a lot and Layer One lets me have everything on one browser page. Is there any other way to have the chat and notifications open with just the ground control panel? Cause I used it when it first came out and it was just the notifications?

Hello, I'm trying to use streamelements for my stream but the overlays (Browsersource) have been lagging especially when I tick the box "Shutdown source when not visible". My CPU on my dedicated streaming computer is a i7-3930k, AMD Radeon 5500, 8GB DDR3 Ram, and Kingston SSD. Is there anyway to get rid of the input lag of these browsersources or is it better to just use jpeg images.

Shutdown source when not visible reduces CPU load because it stops multiple browser sources from being open, it has the opposite effect of creating lag 🤔

Locked layers can be unlocked by simply clicking on that very same padlock

That's a known bug with the alert box, if you remake the alert box then the emulated event works, either way it should work when it comes to an actual event occuring but if you want to test it then you can do that if you make a new alert box

Ah okay . Could you please check a couple of things for me? Issue #1: When the Song Requests module is enabled, and I disable the "Paid Song Promoting" option, "Paid Song Promoting" still appears on the public song request page. Issue #2: When the Song Request module is disabled, I still see the !songrequest command appearing on the commands page.

Hmm... could it be something on my end? I've gone to the Song Requests dashboard and disabled the song requests. Does it need to be disabled elsewhere for that command to be removed from the command list? I should also add that this particular command has a points cost associated with it. You need your activity feed on our dashboard open to gather host data. The alternative is using our ground control application. It will also provide host data.

I would also suggest logging out of our site and back in to refresh your twitch token.

I am having some big issues with loading your page smoothly in Google Chrome, everything in it is really slow, and all the shortcuts takes really long time to click.

So far I've cleaned my computer and any browser cache with Ccleaner, HitMan Pro and even reset Chrome to defaults, still doesnt change anything

If you have your activity feed open on the StreamElements website or our desktop app Ground Control open then your host alerts will work perfectly, you need one of them open during your streams to have host alerts appear, all of the other alerts will work perfectly fine without this, it's just the case for host alerts

Not sure if this has been reprted, but overlays with existing alert boxes don't work with the new "Raid" alert. When the raid alert check box is turned on, and it is edited, all settings are blank and settings for variants are missing. Even when all settings are populated and the "Raid alert" is enabled it will not respond to simulated raid events. Adding a new alert box widget with a "Raid alert" does work. I tried this with 2 existing "Alert Box" widgets and neither works with raids.

You are correct. New alertboxes are able to support the raid alerts while the older ones cannot. Instead of deleting and creating an entirely new alertbox, a new alertbox can be created with only the RAID alert enabled and set up.

I know you can do !kappagen and the commands for those -- but I want my chat spammed with clippy's when I'm clipping, for example. It'd be cool to do !clip and have clippy's show up
or even just have the word "clipping" trigger it
sometimes people warn me but the chat is moving a little fast and I don't catch it and I clip for hours

It hasn't been discussed as far as I know. I'll ask about allowing longer cooldowns in general because I've heard some people wanting to have longer cooldowns on modules and commands

@steep ginkgo how much have you customized the overlay? If you haven't adjusted much, it's easiest to just add the theme again. It's also not possible at this time to copy something from one overlay to another.

@steep ginkgo I do a lot of remote editing (roleplaying) and to be sure I always copy the entire overlay set so I have a spear copy if I do something wrong.

Add your alertbox url, it will generate an overlay under "My Overlays" you can customize it further from there or just click "Launch Overlay" and use that URL in your browser source

@ebon dust Is the options for online and offline intervals checked? Are you reaching the amount of chat lines needed to post the others? Gamewisp has the lead amount of chat lines needed to post.
If you are reaching them, try parting the bot from the dashboard and rejoining it

Then you just need to refresh your overlay on OBS, you need to make sure the source shuts down, so you can either go to the properties and tick 'shutdown source when not visible' in the properties and then hide it, show it and that'll do it. Either that or just restart OBS

CLR Browser Installation
Head to the URL Generator to create your own gamepad URL
Click on the generated preview URL to copy it
In OBS, create a new CLR Browser source
Paste the copied URL in the "URL" text box in the browser source
The width and height will require playing around with inorder to get the right values, so simply work your way up or down from the default values the source already has set
