@rugged willow I know what's causing this, it's a simple fix ๐ in your overlay manager if you click on your alert box you'll have settings for it on the left, if you look at where it says 'Alert message' your current alert message is: "{name} is now hosting my stream with {count} viewers!", what you need to do is change {count} to {amount} because {amount} is the variable, not {count} ๐

I had a question about the overlays. when I load it into xsplit, the edges of the overlay are outside the box. in other words, when I set it up online, I have to move everything more centered and readjust the whole box in xsplit opposed to organizing it in the web-platform. Is this a known issue (full capture space not populating) or do I need to scrap that overlay and restart?

If the resolution of your overlay is the same resolution as your xpslit canvas I can't see why it wouldn't fix perfectly ๐ค I use OBS myself so i'm not sure if xsplit is different but it should work the same I'd imagine

If you click on the icon on the site to rename the overlay it also gives the option to change the resolution of the overlay there too, but if it's 1080p then it probably shouldn't be changed there but rather in your xsplit

I've switched from streamlabs to streamelements (and imported it) but when I create my overlay and implement "most recent follower" & "most recent subscriber" it only shows the recent follower, but not my mostrecent subscriber. My last subscriber subscriber 14 days ago, could it be that it has something to do with that ?

Well I am streaming from 2 PCs, as I was working with Streamlabs, it was difficult to get the sounds from followers, subs, etc. So as I stream with my Laptop but all the sounds comes from my desktop it's kinda hard...
So to do a work around I have to manually launch an overlay from StreamElements on my main Desktop, so the sound for the followers etc, comes towards me and the viewers
otherwise it doesn't work, since I mute the sound from my Laptop... you see ? :p

So now I have OBS working with that overlay and I manually open the overlay on my Desktop just to get the sounds when someone follows or whatever :p
It's not perfect, but it works :p

stupid conundrum but i'm relitively new to OBS use and i've tried to use the new overlays on StreamElements and it worked fine, i got it loaded in a browser source and it shows up... but it's the wrong resolution on OBS, and no matter how i cange that in Streamelements(overlay manager), it won't correctly preportion to my OBS screen. basically, it's blown out to the point you can only see it off to the side, when it should be centered on the screen, it's cut off in the browswer source box (and resizing the OBS box doesn't fix it). anyone have any advice? I would be most appreciative! (I have tried watching the videos on the StreamElements overlay but the resolution thing still is a problem.

Quick question friends. When I have alerts triggered, I'm hearing them doubled or even tripled. I can solve this by clicking the setting of "turn off this source when not active" on different scenes but when i hotkey to those scenes, it takes 3 to 5 seconds for the overlay to actually load. Any way to stop the multiple alert triggers while letting the overlays stay active?

You don't want the overlays to stay active because they are all consuming cpu and memory while running

As a side note, use studio mode. You can hotkey for the scene to be in preview, wait to load, then hotkey transition

I recommend either using a longer fade transition or use studio mode to transition between scenes so that the new scene can be pre-loaded. If you choose to use studio mode, uncheck this in the studio mode transition settings
This will prevent running two overlays in studio mode after the transition

If you're hearing the sound when the sound is muted and you have obs open, then the alerts are playing through obs. You can tick the "shutdown when not active" box and refresh the cache of the browser source under properties in obs

Yeah generally subs arent missed. Only if theres an issue with twitches API not alerting us or theres a connection problem between us and twitch.
The only other time a sub doesnt show up is if the person who subs has this option turned off under "Twitch prime" in their settings. (though, this should only apply to twitch prime subs.)

maybe anybody can help me with this one. So on the green flare overlay, the new subscriber section cuts off parts of names if the name is too long. So i made the width greater. but now the name won't center in the box. the new follower section seems to work properly but i don't see a difference in any settings for the two. what am i missing?

ok, on that one, make sure to aline the text box so it correctly fits in the field. Then, on the bottom left, go to text settings, and make sure the alinement (the big A) is on centered ๐

@shell storm not sure what you mean. Once you reach the tip goal, you can hide the widget, or reset it in the data tab to zero and start on a new goal

Is there a way to import settings from modules into an existing overlay? I don't want to have to fiddle with the settings for the hypercup or something everytime I decide to change something on one overlay but would like to keep them in sync across the stream. If not is this something that can be done in the future?

HI yall, i was just wondering, when u import ur followers / donations from Streamlabs for example, will they always auto import ?

It is normally a one-time import however Streamlabs has disabled the ability for users to import their tips and alerts on StreamElements site

I wish we could help make that import process simpler for you. The team has reached out to StreamLabs in hopes that they will change their mind about blocking users from importing to StreamElements.
