Hello. I recently started using SE and i have kind of a problem with songrequest. The thing is, people can only request by posting links, typing in !songrequest "song name" doesn't work, only the link requests it, how do i change that?

The only one who can change that is youtube
They set an aggressive limit for API requests and SE was maxing that out with searches so for the time being it's only possible to use request with link or video ID

Hello, not sure if this has already been reported but when I am creating an overlay and adding in a widget for example the store redemptions. I am wanting to set it with a custom SFX which I can see I have the option to. For whatever reason I cannot rid the other standard alert that is with it. Sounds like a "whooo" but plays with my sound effect. I have tried clearing all sounds and image to it but still makes a "whoo" is this a bug or something else in settings I have missed? I would like to custom the store redemptions but do not want a "whoo" ... thanks

When viewers redeem sound effects, the store redemption widget plays the sound effect that was redeemed
When they redeem a stream perk, the sound effect that plays either comes from the store item if โ this item shows an alert for the item OR the default sound for the store redemption widget if that option was not checked

Since the original Kapagen shut down, the new one on stream elements is really badly integrated/not user friendly. is there any way to limit and select a spot for the kapagen chat emotes to display from like it had on the original?

Of course! And the Kappagen was integrated by the original designer, who recoded it the way he originally wanted it (more scalable. If you turn off Use Entire Screen, it emotes will only show up in the widget frame

Hello everyone I'm having a bit of a weird problem I was hoping someone could be kind enough to help me with. I am using the overlay manager to make a new overlay. I have chosen 720p as my resolution because that's what I stream in. When I create new a browser source in OBS I make sure to put my window size to 1920x720. However my overlay scale/position doesn't seem to match OBS.
For example when I put a widget at the top of my overlay in the manager in shows up in OBS well below the top of my screen. Here is an example with pictures. What am I doing wrong????

@rose cradle Hi. The correct resolution for 720p is 1280x720, not 1920. Also, if your base canvas (base resolution on windows) is 1920x1080, I suggest that you change your overlay resolution to 1080p, and let OBS do the downscaling

@blissful sand As for the difference between the numbers, the twitch dashboard does not count the streamer or free subs given by the streamer. SE is given the sub count (including these subs) through the API. There is no way for SE to tell which subs are free subs but we're looking into a way to manually correct this.
@blissful sand The sub goal is a counter and rises whenever a person subscribes (new subscriber or resubscriber). The current progress can be edited by clicking on the Widget tab in the editor or on the Activity Feed page. If you'd like a "live" sub count which pulls from the API, you can use Total Subscribers widget

If you want to just count # of subs, I recommend using the Total Subscribers widget, and changing the text to "Sub Goal: {count}/<goal>"

- Having browser overlay open at the same time as obs, comes from both
2)having overlays that are not checked "Shutdown when not visible" in the properties
- using studio mode, the previewed scene is considered visible, so you will hear from both
