@vocal horizon at this time, there isn't a message for purchasing (imaging having 100 people purchasing, and the all got a responce. Massive spam). The rule of thumb is that if the bot doesn't respond when purchasing a ticket, it was bought. If it does, it means you didn't have enough points, or trying to buy too many tickets

There is no way to refund them unless you refund the entire giveaway (and people have to repurchase)

This all factors into it and honestly, we still may not be able to help you a ton. It's not terrible at this point.

My biggest concern is the jump. Also, what is your total cpu usage when this jump happens?

if OBS was taking up 50%+ I would worry. I have an i7 6700k that's overclocked and I sit around 20-30% usage with animations while streaming. The jump is probably caused by an animation happening.

Hi! I used to use KappaGen for Chat Emotes to show up on my channel. I switched over to StreamElements, imported my settings, and made settings for Chat Emote and Emotesplosions. I put the browser URL in my CLR browser for OBS Classic. All the settings/sizes/fps should match up. The emotesplosions work, so I know it is correctly linked/sized. But the chat emotes don't pop up! They do pop up on the overlay when I look at the "launched" tab in chrome. Any ideas? Thanks!

there are two options to have redemptions
either sound effects only (set up on the store as sound effect)
perks which have sound + image that show up on screen

you can disable alerts for redemptions all together by removing the widget from your overlay

but if you want it on a reasonable size

I am trying to set up song request and when I use the !sr command (I changed the default) it is not adding anything to the song q. I was using nightbot previously and intergrated it and I was wondering if that is causing an issue with the song request?

I also don't see streamelements in my channel like I normally see other bots

If you don't see the bot in the channel, then it may have parted. You can have it rejoin from the dashboard on the right side

As for song requests, you will need to include the youtube URL or the video ID which is found in the URL after the =

We currently cannot search youtube because of a limit set by youtube. We're working to have that limit increased so songs can be searched by name

That's largely personal preference, I use a minimal theme that doesn't cover much of the screen for most games. I also have a few of the game specific ones, and have different scenes set up for those so that I can use a different theme as needed depending on what I'm doing.

The pre-made themes do not scale very well

It is best to leave them at 1080p

and scale them down in OBS

@pallid onyx the thing is, OBS browsersources uses chromium, this is why the website is optimized for it. I just did what I suggested and my overlay is fine. But since I'm on a 1080p monitor and can't confirm that it should work on your end

I use it on my overlays. I stream out 1280x720, but my overlays are set at 1920x1080. You will just have to change the width and height in the browser source properties to match (1920x1080)

1366x766 is 16:9 however the supertheme does not currently scale down from the native 1920x1080 within SE overlay manager. In order for this to work, use 1080p res within SE and use 1920x1080 base canvas resolution in OBS.

Then downscale to 1366x766 with OBS

I'm also using OBS Studio version 20.0.0, it's the latest version and I have BrowserSource, I think when you install OBS it may give you a tickbox option of having BrowserSource built-in, if you didn't enable this then it'll be why it's missing

@pine hemlock I'm not using kapagen, I had litterally only things like recent follows, bits, and such. My CPU was at 80% still dropped me to 15 FPS. It was so bad for my viewers I had to just turn the overlay off. And it wasn't a super theme, it was my own hand made one.

I'm on an i5 and OBS only uses 15-20% CPU. An i5 isn't that powerful for streaming but for those kind of games it should be fine. Scrap mechanic is still in EA and can be laggy sometimes, but Minecraft and Rust should be fine

I am having a issue with StreamElements positioning. Using the editor on a 1920x1080 display with the browser sourse set to 1920x1080. I can not for the life of me get the image to extend past 830.

@fathom shoal If it's playing from your backup playlist then it won't show the name of the song, this is due to a limit on the YouTube API requests that we can send per month, nothing you can do about that yet

Yes, you can make an overlay in the overlay manager for 1 widget if you want to, you wouldn't be using the overlay manager to it's full potential but yes it's perfectly possible

It's designed to fit as much of your overlay as possible into 1 browser source so you need only 1 browser source instead of several, each browser source I use can use as much as 4-5% of my CPU usage, so it makes a difference

I mean you could resize any aspect of the overlay in the overlay manager and save it or you could resize the browser source for the overlay as a whole

Both are entirely possible to do quickly

Hello! I've been having trouble with the song request feature. I have a backup youtube playlist but it will only play 1 song and then stop. Is there a way I can get the backup list to continue to play. It also doesn't populate the "now playing" widget with any information, but I have a feeling that's just going to be how it is.

If I want to make custom commands in a specific language that is not English I can do that just fine, but sometimes with specific variables they come out in English, is there a way around or will there be the possibility to customize the variable's outcome text at any point in the future?

For example, for the !uptime command I made it as a custom one to make it in my stream's language, but the variable comes out in english as <not online> or something like that when offline and the time comes out as 1h 30m

I made sure that it was the top layer of the overlay. I tested it out there several times with the event emulator. Everything shows up fine. I used it in my test stream on Twitch and nothing is showing up. The background picture is, but not the alerts.

I tried out the emulator for all the alerts and they were all working there...none of them are working in OBS or on the stream.

the emulate button will still work in this case, you can either use two monitors, if you have that available, or shrink the page with the editor to a small window wher eyou can just trigger the event, and keep the main window open to see if the alert picture shows up
