hi :-) i opened my stream store and added sound items to it. I tested a couple of the sound items by redeeming them but i don't hear the sounds. i type in !redeem and the code i setup into my chat, and get nothing. i tried it while my stream was offline so do i have to be actually streaming to hear the store items?

no. i have it set as redeem in chat. i thought the sounds would play from chat. so i need an overlay widget? and does the overlay function if i have the URL open in the background on my pc? sometimes i stream with software other than obs and it doesn't have an option for overlay setup

@lavish dust yes you would need widget on overlays so it can work, you can also make overlay with widget and when you done just click launch and it will open in new window, if you can't use obs then this tab should be always open but to be honest I didn't tested that option. But it should work

as long as whatever you are using to stream is able to broadcast your desktop audio then leaving a browser window open should allow it to play over stream. I would test a few things to verify, and I would not expect it to work if the browser window is minimized.

I currently use StreamLabs for my tips because I don't need to use PayPal (devils the are) so this means I need to manually import my tips after every tip for it to show up on my stream? Also, when will StreamElements add debit/credit transactions to their system instead of only PayPal? Was told it was soon my yall on Twitter, but that was like 2 months ago

On the google fonts page you can input whatever text you would like and update it for all of the fonts so that you can see exactly what your text will look like with each font. It's the best we have for now ๐

Hey there. I'm trying to create an overlay and when I go to make a host alert box, it won't recognize some of my changes and the alert keeps popping up twice when I test it. One being the default alert and the second being my half edited one.
I was able to make a couple others just fine. Seems to be an issue with the host one specifically, although I still have a couple more to do.
Subscriber alerts are doing it for me too.

@tidal swallow I am in bed, otherwise I would help you more, but here are my suggestions
- Check to make sure you only have one alert box on the overlay. If you are seeing it twice, that's probably why.
- For subs/hosts/cheers/tips, there are variations you will have to edit/delete
Someone else helpful will come along at some point to try to help you out, I'm well past my bedtime as it is.

But if you want to make your overlay i recommend just copy the first you make and then edit it as copy
You can always have one main and and when you make copy of the overlay you can edit it as you like, and if you don't like something you can always delete without touching main alerts overlay

@indigo bone you can make the songrequest chat command cost points in chat command options. People can pick any youtube video (I think you can filter by keyword/tag?) and you can set up an independant playlist for when there's no requests

@final isle I just played around with my sub alerts, and was able to change the sound, and when emulated, it played the correct sound. I don't have any subs for more than a month to test it on a real sub though

when we re-emulate the tier 2 sub it plays the tier 1 sound vs tier 2. also when we are live and a tier 2 sub comes in it doesnt play any audio at all.

Quick question, I am setting up a super theme and I watched the video but when I set the resolution and click ok, when it loads into the preview it is ofset and not centered, I tried using the transform fir to screen and it still off sets it, is there a way around this or do I need to just slide the source over some to center it manually?

Once set up, a viewer who wants to play a sound effect can use !redeem <sound effect name> in chat and it will play on your stream
You may also want to add an alias such as !play to the !redeem command so that they can type !play <sound name>

Hey, I could use some help. I'm trying to use a theme overlay from streamelements, and I've edited it in the overlay manager to fit my needs. However, when I try to put the browsersource into obs, it only shows a piece of the overlay, as if it's too zoomed in. How can I edit the overlay in streamelements to fit on obs properly?

the problem is that its a supertheme designed for 1080p
if you want to resize it to 720p you'll need to edit it and fix a few things manually
in this specific issue, the "top part" image needs to be scaled

i've set my obs to have both canvas and output at 1080 and output at 720, and there are no visible changes
and the overlay on streamelements is set to 1080, gonna try 720 next

Do you have the setting on the browser source so the width and height are 1920 and 1080 respectively?

If you use the super theme, you're better off leaving it at the native 1080p resolution and downscaling with OBS
Also, yes your browser source needs to be resized back to 1080 as scalper mentioned
