Hey guys, friend of mine switched to StreamElements and had a question
he's Anubatrix on Twitch
for, for example, the latest follower there seems to only be the option to do full lower case or full upper case to display the name
if a person has capitalised their name when creating their Twitch account (PortableCorpse, not portablecorpse), StreamElements seems to disregard this when displaying this on the overlay
is there a way to make it so full lower case has to be selected, just like upper case does?
so that if you don't select either, StreamElements will just display the name the same way it would in the official twitch chat?

You can do it online with tools like : http://video.online-convert.com/convert-to-webm
You can do it on your computer by installing ffmpeg (https://ffmpeg.org/) but you need to use command lines.
Some solutions exists to have webm included in video softwares like Premier.
When i need to do it i use FFMPEG (because i'm a g33k developper, and it's the best way to do it). It's not that hard, but using the command line can scare people π

I have a sound effect item in my store for redemption. my Store Redemptions overlay widget seems like it can show the item name and who redeemed it when i redeem something and look at the overlay editor, but not the actual stream itself. in other words, when someone redeems a sound effect, the overlay shows the name and item name but it stays hidden (and thus doesn't show on the live stream, only in the overlay editor)
is this by design, and if so.. it would be nice to be able to show the name of someone who redeems a sound effect on stream. or at least have that option.

oh and by the way, sound effects just play.
They are not treated like alerts.
So make sure you have set a sound to it.

basically we created a TestTip in the 'my tips' section wiht the option 'imported' on to test the alerts etc. later i deleted that one, refreshed the session and relogged. It should no longer be appering and its gone for session-weekly, monthly and daily. Its still apperaing in the total donation sum, on the dashboard and i.e in the "all time top donation"

Trying to do particular emotes for particular emotesplosions. Ex: Wanted to do all green emotes for a tip. wanted to leave out twitch sub emotes. added the emotes I wanted, and clicking on the twitch sub emotes individually removed them from the selector...
But they still explode with sub emotes.

K figured it out -- what it does is reset the emotes if you adjust the amount of emotes per emotesplosion. So if you select all your emotes, and then later want to adjust the amount, it'll just revert to the sub emotes by default and you'll have to select them again FYI

Few questions (coming from Revlo). Can you have the store use the sound and animation set for them when someone claims them? What I mean by that is when I create the store items I can specify an image and sound file. People see and hear those in the store front. But if I have them set to generate an alert, it seems to only show the one generic alert in the overlay settings and ignores the custom graphic/sound for each store item.

@rose kettle That is good to hear. Don't know if you are working on a betting system. With revlo it was nice to do it with the web front end or commands. Really liked that they did the betting where losers lost their bet. Winners got their bet back. And then all the losers money was split to the winners based on how much the winners bet.
Many bots just do the win and double your money (or some percentage). But if you have a ton of people betting on the favorite and a few bet on an underdog, and that underdog wins... Those few people are going to get a lot of points.

@rose kettle No, not really like roulette. Let me explain. I do tournaments and other competitions on stream and like to let users bet on them. This is how I used Revlo before.
So say we have 4 teams. I usually setup revlo to allow people to bet from 1 - 100 points on A/B/C/D (the four teams). Then when a team wins, I tell Revlo "Team A is winner". Or whoever it is.
Players did a "!bet 100 a" or b/c/d depending on who they picked, and of course they could bet from 1 - 100 points.
All the points went into a pot. When a team is declared a winner it pays it out like so.
People who lost the bet lose their money. People who win get their money back. Then they split the pot of the losers money depending on how much they bet.
So if 4 people bet 100. One of them bets on team 2, one on team 3, and two bet on team 1. So 4 bets of 100. 400 dollar pot. Team 1 wins. So the two people who bet on teams 2 and 3 lose their 100 each. The two people who bet on team one split the pot since they bet the same amount. So they get their 100 back and 100 each of the 200 from the two losers bet.
Where it comes into play is say a person bets 1 point on team 4. And 20 people bet on the other teams with a pool of 1000 points bet amoung them. So the pot is 1001. If team 1 wins the person who bet 1 point on team 1 will get 1001 points. Since nobody else bet on team 1.
If 1 person bets 1 on team 1, 1 person bets 99 on team 1. And there are a bunch of other people who bet on the other teams totaling 1000 points. So we have 1100 in the pool. If team 1 wins all the people who bet the 1000 on the losing teams are out. The person who bets 1 will get 11 points back, but the person who bet 99 will get 1089 points back. Because they bet more on the winning team they split the pot but take the lions share.
Hope that makes sense.
With revlo I would create gambling contests from 2 teams to 20 teams. Depending on the game and the turnout.
