Hello, every day or so, my commands are reset to the ones that I have turned off or disabled as I do not want commands being ran from SE as it causes duplication issues when someone types in the '!commands' into chat. I use SE for some of the chatbot things but not the commands. Any idea as to why its not saving and keeps reverting back to the standard set of commands?

Hi, iam trying to setup a short command for changing game in a channel, !slots = @${user} changed the game to "${setgame "Slots"}"! but streamelements decides to change the game/category to slot! for some reason is there some kind of rules in play here?
Tried it in my own channel as well as a channel iam mod in, and the outcome from streamelements is always the same. tried to let Nightbot do the same and it works it changes the game to Slots as expected.
Do anyone know what's up with that?

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

  1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
  2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
  3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Ok! So! Not sure if this is the right place to post it, but, with Media Share, the volume automatically caps itself at about 30dB regardless of any inputs or alterations. I'm running the Media Share page in an OBS browser dock, but running it through a supported browser like Edge has produced similar results. Is this just a bug or...?

helloom when viewers redeem items from the stream store via the panel/website (anything BUT in chat with !redeem) the user name gets logged incorrectly on the alert + redemption history to reflect my name (the streamer) instead.

Hoy, bit of a weird one involving a sponsorship stream overlay - it's properly tracking goals, but it will not play any alerts for some reason whatsoever. Tried updating OBS, tried readding the source, tried updating SE.Live, nothing. Will this be a problem for the sponsorship or will it tracking and having the overlay that does work up suffice?

To add your overlays to OBS, add a new browser source in your scene. These are done. I'm also attempting to replay the alerts through the activity log to test, and nothing. The overlay does come up and update totals, it just won't play alerts.

The activity feed also detects that the things that would set alerts off are happening, but the overlay isn't responding by playing the corresponding alert.

I think I see what's happening - the widget they gave me doesn't actually have any layers or anything for anything more than JUST the goal, so there are no alerts involved. C'est la vie.

I also went back to make sure by checking through setup and the brief again, and the overlay link is the very same goal widget with no alerts included, despite the brief saying it would include alerts

I'm just making sure this won't be a problem - it HAS counted stream time thus far with the branding, just without alerts playing due to the overlay not being provided for them

So the alerts included are the ones that occur when a goal event is completed. It should drop down from the widget itself, and you can emulate that in the overlay editor. Is that part not working?

hey folks! I submitted this question here, and through the support channels. I didn't get a response here intially, but @candid oak directed me back here, so I'm going to try again 🙂

I'm running into an issue trying to set up alerts with SE on MacOS. I have made custom lip synced alert GIFs with transparent backgrounds that I'd like to use.

The problem is this: When I use them as GIFs, they loop from a random point in the GIF, not the start, so the lip sync immediately breaks. I tried converting them to webm files, but webms will not play natively on OBS on MacOS (they just show blank). Is there a better way to go about this? Ideally I'd like to just use the GIF files. Can I force SE to start from the start each time they're used for an alert?

To reset goals:

  • from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
  • from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

I've noticed that the SE Dock build in OBS.Live, a custom dock of my activity feed and also the browser popout of my activity feed eats around 10% of my CPU usage. To test if it's on my side I tried custom browser docks of other providers. None of them ate this much cpu, they usually take around 0,5% of my CPU. So I guess something is not right with the code on your website (?). This is no assumption, just a guess. Maybe you can look into the whole thing, that would be nice bc overall I'm happy with you and I use Streamelements for years now. Thank you 🙂

This is not a twitch issue per say but my game audio from elgato has begun to act weird ever since i moved, it starts crackling but works again after i turn monitoring off and on again, although after a couple of hours it starts to worsen. I'm suspecting it has something to do with my internet connection, but the thing is it works fine, i play stuff on my ps5 while watching youtube etc. no problem. The only program that has been affected... is streamelements which doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

top margin moves both but side to side (right/left) only moves the subscriber name.

the secondary text box adjustments move only the text inside the box, the width and height, but the only thing that works to adjust the text box is, Center, left or right, there is no way or plans to add free positioning, such as dragging the box and putting it where needed, or that the margins still affect the secondary text box.

It seems that the alerts are customizable only if you are a programmer, who would like to work in a slightly more friendly interface, which allows you to make changes as simple as; drag and drop, drag and place, could help create more unique alerts.

My alerts do not always immediately appear in the activity feed, and I have to refresh the source, and the activity feed, and then replay the alerts manually. This especially happens with resubs and raids, but can happen across the board for types and amounts of alerts. It is a huge issue for monetary support right now, so any help would be appreciated. Without a fix, I may need to return to SLOBS. Thank you.

Thank you. My accountID: 5effa260a0fe9d1a14138d47. I did not have the two boxes checked, and have updated that accordingly. This is unlikely to fix my issue since even when I have a separate browser up with the activity feed, it does not always update immediately with the incoming activities. It's like there's a delay/disconnect somethings with activities and what StreamElements is capturing from Twitch.

Valve has implemented a trusted mode which does not allow OBS to hook CS:GO using Game Capture. Read more in their announcement post here https://blog.counter-strike.net/index.php/2020/07/30736/.

Additionally, they have no plans on allowing OBS in trusted mode. https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=8835-KLXV-0292#whitelist You will need to run the game in either windowed or borderless fullscreen and use Window Capture instead.
Alternately, you can launch the game with -allow_third_party_software.

Hello all/ support,

I've been having sponsorship issues since September for raid payments and such. I jumped on the issue early and even told support that there was an issues from the jump. Part of my issue has been fixed but after 4 tickets about missing the rest of payment, there's still no update which never happened before. I understand everyone's busy but I also had to repay back what I borrowed todo the task. I just want more communication besides we forwarded it to finance team which after that many tickets since September, I would think would be fixed when you can see the full payment wasn't going to be sent weeks ahead of time. I also keep having issues of my sponsorships being canceled and or rejected when I wasn't the one who even did it. I'm frustrated because I always do sponsorships through you guys but since like September there's been issues. The sponsorship section said I logged in and rejected it on Saturday then today which I didn't. I've sent tickets about this issue as well and nothing back 😔 I left streamlabs because I loved streamelements more and believed in them...please help very loyal streamer

  • from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
  • from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

Hello! I have an active sponsorship going, but also had a name change in the middle of it (I had been fighting for this name change for a long time, so I didn’t take any risk waiting to get it). I need to know if this affects my sponsorship in any way, especially for getting credited with my link.

I contacted support about it on Wednesday and it mentioned having a lot of tickets so there was a delay in hearing back. Totally no worries there, I understand. I did get a response but I believe the SE staff misunderstood and thought I was asking about it for future sponsorships rather than an active one. I replied again to clarify, but I assume the support tickets are still a bit busy.

I wanted to ask here just in case it could expedite the process. I only have until the end of the month for this sponsorship and I don’t know if it’s safe for people to use my link and code or not. Thanks!

I'm working on swapping my donation alerts from Tiltify (for my old fundraising campaign) to DonorDrive (for a new campaign). I have lots of variation settings in my Tiltify overlay, but there isn't a section in the DonorDrive overlays that allows different variations to be triggered by specific donation amounts.

Does anyone know if there's a quick workaround for this? I assumed the options would be the same, but I have more than a dozen variations for my Tiltify overlay that I can't figure out how to use with the DonorDrive version.

I am having a similar issue to Toploonatic above. I have a single viewer who, when they use a sound effect redeem chat command, receives a chatbot message that they do not have enough points to redeem a sound effect despite that user actually having significantly more than the cost of the item they are trying to redeem.

Oddly, the problem appears limited to using chat commands for the redeem specifically. This viewer CAN redeem the sound effects from the Twitch StreamElements panel extension without any problem. I have tried resetting their points and adding them back multiple times without success. This viewer is also a VIP so it's not a permissions issue.

I have also seen this issue being brought up all over in general google searches. Wondering if there is an existing solve for this that I can be pointed to?

Hey i've already created a ticket about this via email, but the response times are a bit absurd. So my first HelloFresh campaign was flagged and I eventually went on to win the dispute caused by StreamElements "automatic system" (not my fault), i had to wait 6+ weeks for my payout to finally arrive, and now when I've completed a second campaign sponsor by HelloFresh with a measly 8 completions; you guys tell me (and of course without warning) that this sponsor is ALSO needing to be manually reviewed again, even though the initial campaign getting flagged wasn't my fault. Holding up money like this for literal months is very unprofessional and corny.

I recently changed my Twitch name and I believe that's preventing the SE chat bot from working. My old name is still listed with broadcaster permissions under User Management, and my new name isn't there.

The bot itself isn't responding, regardless if it has a custom name or not. Googling the issue, the few messages I found seem to point to contacting someone here 🙂

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Hi, I'm back to beg for help ask again if anyone has a solution to the overlay widget options being different between Tiltify (has variation inclusion options) and DonorDrive (does not have variation inclusion options). I have lots of things set up in Tiltify for another fundraiser, and I'm being forced to switch to DonorDrive for a 25-hour stream I'm doing.

I just want all my usual (donation amount-specific) tricks to work, and cannot find a way to do it with the DonorDrive widget because it does not include the same options. Is there some way to include "variations" like with the Tiltify widget?

I noticed that when streaming my CPU is around 40% (16-core / 32 Threads) but when someone follows or subs and the animation starts from the browser source, my CPU rises to 100% dropping frames on my stream.

Is there any workaround for that?

Hello! Id like to make a chatbot command that puts all of my social media channels in chat. Is there a way to do this so that there is a separate line between the links? even if i do a line break in the custom command, it comes out all strung together.

My understanding is that this is a limitation of Twitch chat, and that i might need separate messages-is there a way to do this with one command?

Hey there. I've had issues with the overlay feature.

I have an overlay "namd Latest" as it displays my latest follower and latest sub in the top right hand corner. It also displays my sub goal in the bottom right, which for a while I've noticed to be completely wrong. At one point I had to use the OBS text to simulate it and update it manually when the sub went up or down (obviously not practical).

I've tried everything, duplicating the overlay, re-adding the widget, logging out, logging in, disconnecting it completely for me to re-log in again.

And my sub counter is still out of sync.

Fossabot states I have one amount of subs, but StreamElements overlay states i have a different amount. I know that Fossabot is correct as I checked with the dashboard and that figure is the same.

Hello, I wanted to follow up on the weirdness you found with my account. I am doing a subathon tonight, and was hoping to have a fix for why my alerts are not loading properly. It's a huge deal for me as a Full-Time creator, as it is losing me money when people can't scare me (on the month of jumpscares) or get the reactions they're meant to. My fix takes away a lot of the fun of the alerts, The bots register an alert in my chat, and I have to manually refresh until they show up in the activity feed, then often also refresh my browser source within obs, then have to refresh individual alerts. Please let me know. Thanks!

Hi! My team has a charity drive going on today. Our DonorDrive alerts aren't playing when we get donations. I think mine did play a few days ago. It does play as expected when I emulate the sound. I've quadruple-checked that my DonorDrive campagin participant ID is right. Any help getting this set up is appreciated! I go live in 3 hours.

I updated my OBS Studio Advanced Audio Settings (per #helpdesk-twitch message) and that didn't fix it

Navigate to StreamElements menu, on top of OBS > Logout > Login

After you have logged back in navigate to File > Settings > Stream > Disconnect > Reconnect

Hey, I’m running it to an issue with TTS with stream elements not saying what the chat types when they donate bits. It will show the message on screen but that’s it. Also another issue is when I change screens it will replay all the donations and followers and sub alerts. Can anyone help?

Make sure to :ballot_box_with_check: “Shutdown source when not visible” for all browser sources (all OBS scenes). But that doesn't explain why it works then stops working? I have clips of the start of stream where it works normally and then later on when it all of a sudden starts doubling the audio. No settings are being changed.

Hello! Bits notifications keep getting skipped. For example, someone cheers 100 bits three times in a row, the middle cheer gets skipped and doesn't even show up in the activity feed. It has been happening for the last few days. Not good.

I have a .webm chatbox graphic that is sized at 650x 1080, but when I upload it it gets, for lack of better terms, squashed down to like 600px tall and I cannot adjust it. Any help would be appreciated. I have tried changing the size of the frame to the native resolution of the graphic, and it still keeps this weird aspect ratio that I definitely did not want. Please advise
